Samsung Galaxy S II :: Can Only Record 59m 59s Each Time
May 24, 2012
I can record multiple times 59.59 but never more than this. It's not space because I don't delete the other records so. In the phone it says you can record up to 5h12 in 720 x 480 and in HD 1h02. But it stops always on 59.59.
(On Samsung S5). I'm in university and I frequently record my lectures, while actively listening/taking notes. My profs will frequently draw important diagrams while explaining them, and what I do is that I type out what they're explaining and take pictures of the diagrams after they've completed them to fully understand the concepts. The problem lies is that when I try to take pictures, the voice recorder app stops recording, so I get gaps in my lectures. Is there any way possible to still be recording while I'm using my camera?
Recording is fine with the stock camera app, BUT none of the other market apps I've tried can record in HD. e.g. 'aLapRecorderHD', 'Daily Roads Voyager', etc. The market Apps seems to record OK @ 720x480 or anything below. All of the apps I've tried produce corrupt HD video with green artefacts all over the screen. They all work OK on my Nexus1 @ both 720p & 1080pCould anyone with a newer firmware?, try one of the above market apps and see if HD video can be recorded?
I have been using my samsung galaxy pretty heavily being as i just got it a week ago. I have noticed with heavy use it does not last me a whole day. Yesterday i let the battery drain all the way out so that i could completely cycle through. It ended up takeing a little over 3 hours to fully charge again. Was curious how many hrs of usage other people are averageing and how many hrs of charge time?
I read several places in connection with the new 2.3.5 update it will be possible to separate screen time-out time from screen lock time. So that you screen would go dark after fx. 15 seconds and lock after 60 seconds
Is there a way to program a shortcut or widget for the Record Audio feature in the Samsung Solstice? I have tried to no avail to find a way to do this. I want to take advantage of the feature, but as it is, I have to click menu, tools, record audio just to get started. Ideally I would love to have it available in the multi task button but I'm not hopeful this is possible.
I just bought a unlocked root samsung and for some reason.....i text a co worker at 5 pm...and when I receive a reply 5 mins later.....it shows the text as being received at , 1 pm.....it doesnt show the text after mine but before it......
I know it uses up battery time, but is it possible to over-ride the screen time-out? The longest time option on the menu seems to be 10 minutes, but eg when using GPS in the car - especially when the car charger is attached - over-ride this 10 minute limit.
Problems with Galaxy s2 rebooting and the signal issue for me is the worst my friends are constantly complaining that they can't reach me getting a message I believe it is because my signal is so weak any other phone I have ever had I have always got full signal bars at home but I am lucky if I get 1 bar with the s2.
As a rule I like my screen to time out after a minute of inactivity. When the phone drops below 30% of power, however, power saving mode kicks in and this changes to 15 seconds. The problem is, that after I plug the phone in - and thus cancel power saving mode - it sticks at 15s timeout instead of reverting to my 1minute setting?
why the dates and times I see on text messages are stamped with current time (i.e. time that message is downloaded/read) rather than the time actually sent....? Can't see the point in this.
I downloaded SwiftKey-X...and every time I reboot the phone..the dock first loads some of my apps..usually the last downloaded apps.Example..i switch the phone on, and where my contact/messaging/phone icons are..are now, FireFox, and 2 or others. This eventually fixes itself after about 15 seconds. If i remove SwiftKey, then this doesn't occur at all.
Does anyone know the effective battery life time when playing 720p h.264 mkv files with 100% screen luminosity and almost all the other features off (wifi, bluetooth, internet, etc)? Also, is there support for subtitles? I am debating on what to buy, the Galaxy S or the IPhone 4. I need 3.5 hours of video playback between charges. I want to eliminate the video conversion step, so if the Galaxy S can eliminate it, that would be perfect.
I have mp4 video files in my mobile. It plays perfect when I play it after copying it from the PC. fter couple of hours or so when I try to play the file second time, its not playing, I am getting blank(black) screen, when I try to scroll it or fwd it, I can see that the file is getting stuck.I can play the files once again after rebooting my phone each time. initially suspect that the issue could be with the video file, but experienced the issue with mutliple files which I copied.
My friend has an SGS2 on Virgin Mobile and he wants to extend the length of time the phone rings before going to voicemail as he often misses calls. I can't see any settings on the handset and from what I can gather it looks like it to do with the carrier, in this case Virgin Mobile? ... I also found this info... "There's a really quick and easy way to extend the amount of time your phonerings for before voicemail kicks in. The most you can extend it to is 30 seconds. All you need to do is follow theseteps:- Tap *#67# into your phone, then press the call/answer key.- Make a note of the number that's displayed, including the + symbol.- Enter the following code:**61*the number you noted down from above**30#Here's an example of how the sequence of numbers might look:**61*+44717941123456**30# This will mean that your phone rings for 30 seconds. You can alter this toring for 5, 10, 15, 20 or 25 seconds by replacing **30# with your choice ofseconds. E.g. enter **15# if you want it to ring for 15 seconds.
I have been using SII ( GT I9100, Andriod ver 2.3.5;Kernnel 2.6.35.7) since more than a year its been working fine until I got it upgraded to Ice although due to various problems I got it resorted to its previous version however sine then its extremely slow when I open any contact it takes some time to display the numbers saved in the contact moreover it takes several minutes to open play store furthermore some time callers complaints that your phone was not responding however I was in normal coverage area
I brought my S4 to a concert but the audio was horrendous. I have the S6 but haven't been able to test it yet. I was wondering if Samsung has improved this on the S6? Or would it be better recording it with the Apple Earpods microphone or any other external microphone
