i want to remove my email accounts from the social hub.in fact, i'm quite keen on deleting the whole thing as it doesn't seem to work very well for me.how can i stop the social hub from grabbing my emails?i want to remove my gmail account from it but i get a warning message saying it will delete all contacts etc from the device.

I'm under the impression that it is a Samsung app that presents synced data from various services in a central location and lets you link contacts from say gmail/facebook/phone together so you don't have duplicate names.But can this not also be done directly with the "contacts" on the phone?I've also noted that if I sync directly with the facebook app I get options of who to synch - for example I can sync only contacts that are already in my phonebook - so people that I rarely contact but who I am facebook friends with won't clutter up my phone. I think at one stage I even managed to sync facebook twice - once through social hub and again through the app.In short I'm a bit confused as to whether I want to keep the social hub. Do people with non-samsung phones see it as attractive? Or do they cope without it? Or do other manufacturers provide something similar?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have set up my gmail and NTL email through social hub as imap premium accounts and I receive all emails as "push" no problem at all, but, I cannot send any. The emails appear in my sent box but they are never received. The only way I can send emails is if I use the dedicated gmail app on the phone but I can't see how to set up my NTL mail account in that app.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an unrooted S2 running Android v2.3.4, which I connect to my PC using USB debugging off.I do this because I have the Widgetsoid app installed, and use it for one-click USB mass storage access on my PC when the phone is connected.when I connect via USB however (through Widgetsoid or the "clean" way though the Wireless Settings), my home screen seems to refresh, and the Social Hub icon I have at the bottom of the screen (along with Applications, Call and Contacts) vanishes. This happens every time I mount the mass storage, meaning I have to go into the application menu to drag it back into the tray and save it again, but the same repeats each time.
View 3 Replies View RelatedYesterday I have added my Facebook and Linked in accounts in Social Hub. I thought it was like an app or somekind. All I saw was updates from my FB home page. I cant do anything else other than seeing all those updates. I mean I can upload any photos or videos, I understood that its not an app kind but something else. Now, how do I remove/delete those two accounts from that social hub. Couldn't see any options available? Also noticed in other forums that once if we delete that account it cannot be added again coz of SNS feed issues?

I have pretty bad wi fi reception in my bedroom, however it's just sufficient for my phone to detect it and connect, but it drops out and syncing/downloading/loading web pages is very slow ad often fails.
I have a Galaxy IIs from Tmobile. I want to be able to just push the side power button and go directly to my phones homescreen. I don't want to have to swipe to go the the home screen. I have tried going into Location and Security>Set up screen lock>None. This didn't do anything. I still have to swipe to go to the home screen.Is there somewhere else that has the setting I am looking for?

I am using Advanced Task Killer which I'm finding really useful. I have an ignore list set and it kills the apps that aren't being used regularly. However, I'm wondering why these apps keep restarting again. The sort of things that keep restarting are Gallery, Messaging, Yahoo! Messenger, Email, Skype, Maps, etc. I'm sure that I'm signed out on all of these apps and have the settings set such that they shouldn't keep restarting/synching. Are there any apps similar to 'msconfig' in Windows where you can tick which things you want to start up and what you don't?

After I came back, I found there is no way to forget the saved wifi as I could not find it in my Wifi network list.
