BB Bold 9700 :: Mobile Network Options - Phone Will Not Use Wifi?
If I have my 'Mobile Network Options' Connection Preference set to 'Mobile Network Only', does that mean my phone will not use Wifi for anything? Or just not for UMA phone calls.I'm curious if my browser will not use Wifi under that setting. WiFi is turned on and the little WiFi logo is up in the corner. Or if I choose 'WiFi Preferred', I assume the phone will select the best connection whether it be for a phone call, internet, etc.and the pink UMA logo/bars are only for phone calls??

BB Bold 9700 :: Direct Access To Email Turn Off Email Client
I've seen a few post that sort-of answer my question, but none seem exactly right. I have a Bold 9700 and use a BIS to retrieve my personal email from my ISP's POP server. I don't use BES. When I'm at home or at work and have direct access to email, I'd like to turn off my bb email client. How can I do that? In one post I saw the recommendation Messages > Options > Email Reconciliation > Wireless Reconcile -> set of Off. Is this enough? (I have my BB set up for wi-fi connection when I'm home, in case that makes a difference.)

BB Bold 9700 :: How To Turn Off Text Notification With Email?
Every time I receive an Email through my yahoo account, I get a text message notification of the email as well. How do I make this stop?I don't text a lot so I don't have unlimited texts on my account. Kind of annoying to have to delete texts as well as the fact that it's eating my monthly text allotment. I have been through every options menu and have not located anything that addresses this.

BB Bold 9700 :: Internet Service Connection Failure - Cannot Access Email
I just got my new Bold9700 and am trying to set it up and failing completely. Part of this may be because I am in Costa Rica. The primary problem is that it is connecting to a WiFi network, but not to a BlackBerry Internet Service. I have a data plan, I am linked to a network here (called I.C.E), and I am connected to a WiFi network, but it will not open due to the lack of Internet Service connection. My phone is apparently locked, but I am using a USA SIM card, not a Costa Rican one. Do I need to unlock my phone in order to connect to the Internet Server here? As a result of this connection, I also cannot access email or set up BBM.

BB Storm 9500 :: Turn Off Mobile Network When Battery Is Low
I've looked through some of the other posts, and I know The Storm will turn off Mobile Network when the battery is low, however, I'll find myself going through the day without any email messages.I go into manage connections, and it is turned on. I clicked on it, to turn it off, then click it again, to turn it back on, and all of a sudden, my phone fills up with new email messages.Any idea why my phone seems to lose contact with the Vzw network and not receive messages until I disconnect and reconnect to their network?

BB Storm 9530/9500 :: Mobile Network Wont Turn OFF / Consume Battery
I did alot of searching and I couldn't find any articles on this topic. Basically, I'm trying to get my mobile network to turn off. I work in a place where I don't get a signal at all. And like all my previous phones, I put it on "airplane mode" to conserve battery. This is an unlocked storm, I use it on AT&T network. I used this forum to get internet services, MMS, etc. working on the phone, which works GREAT! Prior to updating my OS to 5.0, I was able to turn off the mobile network. After updating the OS to 5.0, (and going to work the next day) I noticed that when I press mobile network, the check in the box goes away for a second, then comes back automatically. The place where ON/OFF appears, the ON fades for a second, then comes back on. The top of the screen then shows "searching for GSM", then later says "no service" and I have a nice little "x" in the place bars would normally appear if I had a signal.I've tried everything I know, I'm sure there's something I'm missing. Under mobile network options, I have Network Selection Mode: Automatic, Network Technology: GSM/UMTS, Network Mode: 3G & 2G, just as the directions stated for setting up for Data Plan services.
