Nokia :: 6210 Navigator - Mac (Powerbook) Internet Connection Via Phone?
I just bought a 6210 Navigator. I'm also the proud owner of a Macintosh Powerbook G4 running MacOS 10.3.9 (a bit old, but who would complain of a 7 year old laptop perfectly running). However I did not (yet) succeed to connect my Mac to the Internet via the 6210 under Bluetooth. It worked with previous phones (Sony-Ericsson, Motorola). I can connect my Palm TX to the Internet via the 6210, so no general issue. The Mac requests authorization to access the Internet (on the phone, to which I answer Yes), then runs for a while and ends with "no answer from remote site" and the log states "connect script failed".

Motorola :: Moto Q9H / AT&T Charges?
I was wondering about the charges of AT&T with the Moto Q Globals services. If I have unlimited texting plan, can I also use AIM without an addition charge? If I download a free navigation application such as MOLOGOGO, do I still have to pay AT&T data plan? Does the Music ID cost money? Lastly, do the WiFi MicroSD cards work?

Does it cost anything to send someone a ringtone, pictures or anything else via bluetooth to another phone with bluetooth. I asked the AT&T rep this yesterday and they said it costs 1cent per kb sent even bluetooth. Is this correct? Example, I have been sending my wife ringtones and picturess via the bluetooth connection on my phone to hers which also has bluetooth. We both have Razr V3xx phones.

Motorola :: Moto Z9 AT&T Navigator?
I just purchased the Motorola Moto Z9 and thought the phone was great until I got signed up for AT&T Navigator. The extra 10 a month for this service puts my bill up to about 80 a month but I didn't mind considering I need GPS. So I fired up AT&T navigator...and the program launched and I tried to get some driving directions...and then thats as far as I got. The "Finding GPS" or "Finding Directions" gets to 96% at the very best and then stops, stalls out, and says weak GPS signal find better skyway. This is whats happening WHEN I'M OUTSIDE UNDER A CLEAR SKY. I know the GPS service is in my area because the rep at the AT&T store who signed me up has it and says it works fine for him but what a surprise tonight when I went in to complain and his wasn't working either! What's the deal with this, has anyone else had this issue? I need the GPS and am so far disgusted with AT&T navigator. Anyone have any idea whats going on with this service in my case?

Motorola :: Karma - Gps - Navigator
I have just got a Motorola Karma QA1 and I pressed ok for "Where" In AT&T gps/navigator. It said I'll be charged for 2 dollars if not canceled within a week. I've tried every way in "Where" to find a way to cancel, but no luck. How can I cancel ?I found the billing section and it instructed to go to www.att.com/directbill and Purchase History and I cancel it there. Nothing is inside the data range and it says Accounts are updated regularly, usaully within 5 minutes of a transaction. It has been about 30 minutes.

IPhone :: Charges For Wi-Fi
I was just looking at Bell's rate plan promotions for the iPhone 4 and I noticed it said

From July 30 to September 30th get 6GB of data for only $30 per month with unlimited Wi-Fi in over 750 locations.

Now I was thinking is this a some sort of marketing tactic, to make some people think you normally really do have to pay, or do you actually normally have to pay?

IPhone :: FaceTime Charges?
A colleague mentioned they have been charged for using FaceTime by their UK provider? It got me thinking, although it uses wifi to carry out the call, it initiates as a standard phone call so even when it switches to wifi does it still maintain that cellular connection and then the call comes out of your inclusive minutes or charges you? It got me thinking because if the new iPod does get FaceTime, with no cellular connection they obviously cant initiate the call in the same way the iPhone 4 does. Which then led me to think if you just go straight to the FaceTime button in the contacts app and use that does that go straight to a FaceTime call and therefore does not do anything cellular?

IPhone :: 3GS And Contract Charges
Has anyone bought the iPhone and canceled the contract?

Please let me know if the math is correct.

iPhone (32GB) - 299.00 + tax on 599.00 price
Activation Fee - 36.00
ETF (prorate 2 mths) - 165.00
2 months of service - 140.00 + tax

Grand Total - Over 640.00

Correct me if I am wrong.
They charge tax on the full price of the phone and they don't prorate the final month of the bill.

IPhone :: What Are International Usage Charges
I'm just a little confused about how international usage works. If you don't sign up for any kind of plan and take your iPhone (to say India, where I'll be headed), will the phone still work and if so, what charges will apply? I will be using the call and voicemail feature little to none and I won't be getting incoming calls, but what about text messaging and safari? How much will those cost me if I don't agree to any plans? Or will none of it work at all?

IPhone :: What Are The AT&T International Charges
I've gotten several stories so I'm unclear, but here's what I think the rules are: If someone calls me and I don't answer the phone, there's no charge unless it goes to voice mail. If the caller lets it go to my voice mail, even if they don't leave a message but the greeting starts, I get charged the applicable per minute rate. There's no way to shut off voice mail capability if I wanted to, even though I doubt I would.

Text messages I receive are no charge. Text messages I send are 50 cents each without an international text messaging plan. If I use Skype to call someone while on WiFi, there's no charge from AT&T's end. For those with experience on all this, does this sound right? I'm heading from the US to Europe.

iOS 4

Nokia :: Maps Charges On 5800
I just got a 5800 and have been using nokia maps (pre loaded) and it all works well with navigation from point to point and voice directions. I got a free 90 day licence when I started the application. What I wanted to know is about the charges for using the service. My situation does not seem to come up in internet searches. This 5800 is an Orange phone, but I unlocked it to use on another network. It still wants to connect to orange world and go online at startup of maps etc and it has been working fine. But, how do I get charged. Will my network simply charge for packet data? What will orange do if I use their network for positioning?

Samsung :: Blackjack II Only Charges On USB
Recently I received a warranty replacement phone from ATT.  My old phone's center button ceased working?  My new phone arrived and using my old battery and wall charger it rapidly discharged the battery until total charge hovered around 30%.  I thought that my wall charger had somehow broken as I had just returned home from travel.  I then tried to charge my phone on my computer using the USB cable, which worked.  Finally I was in my can today and plugged the phone into the car charger and the same discharging cycle occurred.  I thought the phone was finally broken but plugged it into my computer just to see and low and behold my phone is charged up again?
