I read an article that you can access Google with Motorola navigator on the smart phones without charges or I didn't understand well the article maybe you can translate it to me in english because free internet too good to be true.
View 4 Repliesi appear to be unable to acces the internet anymore, however all my mails, texts, phonecalls work fine and even some of my applications, though one that will not is Tube Buddy, this one says oops there is a data problem. Although this is a company device our IT dept are unable to solve.

View 6 Replies View Relatedust out of curiousity apple's iphone has a non removable battery, but if the battery needs to be replaced due to end of life (most cellphone batteries last about a year, maybe a little longer before it dosn't hold its charge as well) apple charges 80 dollars to have a new battery installed by them into your phone. Does motorola offer something simular? Or do we just have to get a new device once the battery is dead?
View 6 Replies View RelatedIn the Battery and Data Manager > Data Delivery settings we have some options with respect to using data over the mobile networks and roaming.Last weekend my wife (iPhone) and I went to the Canadian side of Niagara falls. I double checked that on both of our phones, we had the Data roaming option disabled, but as AT&T still gets reasonable signal, I left data enabled over our home network.From time to time, the phones roamed to Rogers where we either got texts or in the case of my Atrix a notification saying were roaming and that we had disabled data so couldn't access anything. Great - I thought.The iPhone made it through the weekend just fine. The Atrix, not so much.Very early in the trip, at one point when I woke my screen to check it, I saw AT&T at the top with the data transfer indicators active (and blue). Then, the signal switched to Rogers and the transfer lights stayed on for a few seconds, before eventutally disappearing and only then did the data roaming notification pop up.
I thought this was weird, so I checked my balance, and sure enough, I had 80kB of roaming data present. Not much but at 1.5c per kB I wasn't sure I wanted to keep chancing this happening, and so resorted to turning off mobile data alltogether - which I don't think I should have to do (and DIDN'T have to on the iPhone).I'm not all that impressed. The data roaming option is a software issue - as the network by default allows it and so the onus is on "us" to make sure we don't accrue unwanted charges - but how can I if the phone just kinda does what it wants anyway?
I know I should have it in airplane mode, is there anything else that needs a check mark to avoid any IP service charges?

View 34 Replies View RelatedThe new kind of t9 with nokia navigator 6710 is really really bad, I'm searching to get the older one on this phone.the problem is that when you press * to change the word, the phone become slower, and open a new window where you can see the words and choose. this thing is really uncomfortable and make you really slower and harder to complete the sms.the big problem is that you can't enable or disable this option, you must use it! this is a very bad thing from nokia, cause people must choose their way to write sms.i can disable and enable t9, so why can't i enable and disable this option? this is a bug from nokia in this phone!please help me to find a patch, a software or something else to solve this problem, or if doesn't exist i need someone that advice nokia to put something to download on the site, to solve this problem.

This morning i read in the newspaper the NOKIA gives for free the Navigator o its cellulars.I opened the Nokia WEB site and the news was real: you can free download maps for Smartphones (but non for N86). My N86 has its drive navigator with an original 10 days license (expires on 31/01/2010).
The walk navigator has a lifetime license.
I then updated the drive navigator license data, but no change. It keeps prompting me to buy a new licence for the drive navigatorr( 99 euro, one year).
It does not sound correct: is now free or not free the NOKIA navigator? Before trying Nokia Maps, I upgraded to 20.115 via software updater and it prompted me to install nokia maps 3.0, which I did.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI used to have a bracket for my old 6110 Navigator which was was fitted with the power supply jack at the top of the phone.The bracket has the power jack inlet at the bottom. I am looking for a similar solution for the 6710 Navigator which also has the power inlet jack on the top. So far I can not find any such solution for this phone. Anyone have any solution for this?No good solution to have the charging cable come in on the top. Cannot see that Nokia has bothered to care about this problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I was using VZ Navigator for a little road trip this weekend, and as I was using it I noticed my Tour getting very hot. I checked the temp and Meterberry said it was 114 degrees! So I turned off VZ Navigator but a few minutes later my phone restarted itself and now the only screen I can see is a white one saying: "Technical Issues Please Return to Place of Purchase for Repair". Took it to VZW and they told me I need to get one overnighted to me and there was nothing they could do. Oh and I tried Desktop Manager and it wont recognize my bb no matter what I did (even the version without media manager). So now I play the waiting game without my BB. Has anyone else run into this problem with their tour overheating?
