So my battery died early this morning and i plugged it into my laptop to charge through the usb cable. (I don't have my wall charger, i left it in NZ as i am over seas)Now when i plug it in theres a white light which then turns green. After about 10mins the phone swithes on and jsut as it says starting services, it says shutting down.
View 9 RepliesToday after turning my phone back on it got stuck on the 'Now' screen and wouldn't finish powering up. During this time my phone was connected to the network and the phone received messages and rang once but of course I couldn't view the messages or answer the calls. I wasn't able to turn it off either. The only way to fix it was to pull the battery.

Now the Phone wont power on. The battery is fully charged & i have tried the vol down + Power button combo.
Just bought a new boost mobile i776 and planned on unlocking it for use on Telus as a Mike phone.

Has anyone heard of this error or could explain it? I've done some searching but turned up nothing.It said ready to program so I ran the CNS unlock on it, but still no luck. I'll return it if I have to or call motorola but I have to deal with the border crossing involved in that and that makes it much more time consuming if this is an easy fix.
My droid Razr randomly powers down. Never when I'm using it, only when it is sitting idle. This is the second droid razr I have had in the last month and both phones have had this problem. There are no third party apps on the phone, and I have tried numerous factory resets with no success.

If I then shut it off a second time, it stays off. This happens infrequently, maybe 3-4 times since I got the phone on 11/11/11.
I have a Motorola Xoom wifi edition that will not power up. When on a charger, it goes from white to green as normal. I've tried power and volume down, power and volume up, and power and both volume, all to no avail. It was working just fine until my dad got it, then it refused to power up.
View 1 Replies View RelatedLast night my droid razr maxx turned off without me powering it down. I tried to turn it back on, but nothing happened. I plugged it in a still nothing happened, the light didn't even flash. I know the battery did not die because I still had abour 70% left and leaving it plugged in all night did not help. My best guess is that it crashed, If anyone has had this problem and knows how to fix it or knows what may have caused it I would like to know so it will not happen with my replacement phone. I've only had my phone for exactly two months. Update: Version informed me that an app actually caused this to happen and got it to reset. Apparently i was pushing the up volume button instead of down.

I held down the power button and chose to POWER OFF. That was last night around 1AM. Today, around 7PM, I held power to turn it on but it wouldn't. I kept trying to no avail. Finally, I plugged in a USB charging cable and it slowly came to life. At this point, the white charging light refused to come on (normally it's on right away).

Mine seems to hang at night (seemingly about 20min after I plug it in for charging) and stays on yesterdays date and time until somehow it corrects itself the next day. There is no way to "activate it" or make it correct itself. All other clocks and calendars are correct.

The phone reboots itself sometimes when I try to make or receive a phone call (2 or 3 times a day). I know this is happening to other Photon owners and I already tried the factory reset twice. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a major issue with my corporate exchange calendar. If I accept an invitation to a meeting, the phone makes me the organizer of the meeting. This syncs back to my corporate calendar. This is obviously completely wrong. If I delete the meeting on my phone, or on my computer, it sends out a message to everyone that was on the meeting saying that it was cancelled. If I need to adjust the meeting only on my calendar, it sends out an update to everyone. It has caused a lot of confusion for me and my work colleagues.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHas anyone seen / experienced this? When I have my photon in the car dock and using the GPS, I am unable to receive incoming calls. My girlfriend has called me for the past three days and she says my phone rings and rings and goes to voicemail. I have Sprint Service. I am not using TeleNav or any other navagation, I am just using the GPS mode and Bluetooth is also running. I dont have any other issues with not receiving incoming calls unless its in the dock.

I did a full factory reset about a month ago. the last couple of days the phone has been freezing with the alarm. the alarm will go off and I might get one or two snoozes out of it then the display freezes and is unresponsive. O can push the power button to get the power off menu but the screen will not respond to allow a power off, I must remove the battery to reset the phone.and as anyone who has a Photon knows how much fun putting the back on is. Any ideas.again this is a pretty fresh reboot and I do not have near as many apps running as before the reboot

I have uninstalled updates and reinstalled a few times, but it seems that app is dug in there, and won't leave.Because Sprint customer service has NO CLUE (after 4 reps) how the app works, or how to get rid of it?

Does motorola offer something simular? Or do we just have to get a new device once the battery is dead?

I double checked that on both of our phones, we had the Data roaming option disabled, but as AT&T still gets reasonable signal, I left data enabled over our home network.From time to time, the phones roamed to Rogers where we either got texts or in the case of my Atrix a notification saying were roaming and that we had disabled data so couldn't access anything. Great - I thought.The iPhone made it through the weekend just fine. The Atrix, not so much.Very early in the trip, at one point when I woke my screen to check it, I saw AT&T at the top with the data transfer indicators active (and blue). Then, the signal switched to Rogers and the transfer lights stayed on for a few seconds, before eventutally disappearing and only then did the data roaming notification pop up.
I thought this was weird, so I checked my balance, and sure enough, I had 80kB of roaming data present. Not much but at 1.5c per kB I wasn't sure I wanted to keep chancing this happening, and so resorted to turning off mobile data alltogether - which I don't think I should have to do (and DIDN'T have to on the iPhone).I'm not all that impressed. The data roaming option is a software issue - as the network by default allows it and so the onus is on "us" to make sure we don't accrue unwanted charges - but how can I if the phone just kinda does what it wants anyway?
I know I should have it in airplane mode, is there anything else that needs a check mark to avoid any IP service charges?
