View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't access mobile internet, but can access internet over wifi. What is going on? Do I need something called a Blackberry data plan? AND Why do I need to pay extra for this, if I pay £5 a month, do I get unlimited access for the cost? Or will I incur further browsing charges? i don't know why they do this, as it is no more superior to any other phones browser!

Sometimes when I want to use whatsapp, I can't send a message or receive one. When I use the internet, I can't get any pages. The only solution for me now is to pull out my battery and put it back in, but after a while the same thing happens again.
Monday i'm going to Paris and i don't like to pay for my blackberry internet when i'm there. Does any of you know how to turn your internet off? So you.don't have to pay for internet when you are in an other country.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI brought my BlackBerry a few weeks back, and brought the Data Plan (£5 for BBM, Internet etc for 1 month)... IT was working PERFECTLY until yesterday Morning... I woke up, checked my BBM as usual, Ended all the chats that were Broadcast Messages blah blah blah, and went to speak to one of my Contacts on BBM... THe message wouldnt send... I thought it's probably just slow or something.... Yet im still having the same problems now... Nearly 2 days it hasnt worked now, and it's getting very annoying!
Features that are being affected are;
- BBM
- Facebook App
- App World
- Browser
This is one message I usally get while trying to use the Browser:
"Unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later.
If the problem persists please contact your service provider."
Another thing that's really annoyed me is the fact that most people with a Similar problem to my has "gprs" in Lower Case letters, yet i have "GPRS" in Capitals, yet still not working.. I admit, on the rare occasion i can send a message but it takes ages, usually about 30 minutes. No matter where I go, whether it's my house, the woods, the town, anywhere, im getting the same problem, whereas before, I could go anywhere, including those 3 place and it would be FINE!!
I've done everything I could, Battery Removal, Wipe, SImple turned the Mobile Network off, then back on... NOTHING is helping!!
Until yesterday morning i had NO problems what so ever, then suddenly I get this!!!
I got my Phone from T-Mobile, and im with Vodafone
There is a 1xT(bar)x on the top right hand corner of my phone. My phone is able to receive and send calls/texts but my internet/email is not working at all. When I go to manage connections, mobile network is checked off, but Mobile Network Options shows that even though data services are on, my mobile network is listed as 'none." I tried a reset by taking the battery out but that didn't work. I've only had this phone for a few weeks and it worked fine up until yesterday.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just recently purchased an unlocked Blackberry 8900 phone which I placed my current contracts sim card in. My sim's contract includes mobile internet, just wondering how I can use this on my blackberry?
I can set up the Blackberry to use my wifi connection no problem, just can't figure how to set it up to use the mobile internet included in my price plan?
Also when I try to install the Blackberry Appworld, it says my device is not supported - even when I try viewing on the Blackberry's browser and connecting to my laptop! Why is this?
I would like to know how - I am sending these phones to my folks, and just by pressing up on them, it connects to the web. Verizon wants to disable it for me but that removes text message abilities. So........I can't do that!I am adept at Bitpim and other methods of phone programming, except I am new to these phones.
I honestly wanted to get them e815's, but Ebay has not had any new ones for Verizon in a while, so LG5500's were bought. Eventually they will be replaced by e815's. Why can't they just make phones with antennas anymore? The field mode said the phone had -105db.
I know this has been asked before about other devices, but I have not been able to find a solution anywhere.
When turning off mobile data, each time I get a warning that reads "Unless you use Wi-Fi, you will no longer be able to use the Internet, Email or other apps that require a data connection."
I turn mobile data off and on frequently throughout the day. This message has become gradually more annoying. I think it is bad UX and at the very least, there should be a way to disable it.
Im using blackberry 8520 phone from few monthes. But unfortunately time to time my internet going to disconnect status. It says contact service provider when i goingt o use third party applications. BIt dosent correct the issue when i restart my phone either. But when i switch off the phone and replace battey. then wait few seconds and again switch on the phone internet is working fine for some time.Im curious about this issue hence its a intermittentl one. Do you anyone have experiance about this kind of issue.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have bought a C2-01 phone for use away from my home country and wish to disable all access to the internet as it would be extremely expensive. In Menu/Settings/Connectivity/Packet Data/Packet data conn./ I only have 2 selections "When needed" or "Always online", what is missing is "Never". The trouble is there are lots of internet accessing options within the phone menu system that use the internet and if you accidentally select one it will go "online" without asking.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI know this might sound weird, but... I realize that I am addicted to the internet and spend too much time on it, and want to purposefully restrict myself by NOT being able to access the internet at all on my Blackberry Bold 9700.I don't have a data plan, but I log onto my landlord's WiFi using the password he gave me. Therefore, I have internet access through WiFi, but I would like to either get rid of that ability altogether, or find a way to password-protect the browsers (the regular browser and Opera).

View 7 Replies View RelatedOn my nokia 97 mini you could set the connectivity so that when the WiFi connection was active the mobile internet would be inactive.
However, I can not find a similar option on the DHD.
According to my usage analysis from my service provider, Meteor Ireland, I have been using mobile internet even when I have been using WiFi.
I bought an unbranded 6700 classic on amazon and I tried to disable internet access completely. So in the first place, there is no option to disable packet data or internet access at all. I can only choose between on demand and always online. I tried to make new hoax profiles with made up usernames and passwords for those data links and access points and set them as defaults but this phone always just connects to the internet by edge after all.
I also can't just delete my provider's access points which seem to be sitting on the sim card or however that works. On sony ericsson devices there is at least some kind of workaround which works by setting the access points to ask for a password before they actually connect but in this phone there doesn't seem to be any option to protect myself to go online by accident.
How can I disable the internet connection since the phone switches onto internet at random when I do not what to go on line and I am getting unneccessary charges
