Samsung :: Tocco F480 - Touchscreen Will Not Function At All
Apr 5, 2010
I have been given a faulty Samsung Tocco F480 if I can fix it, its mine basically. It starts up fine, screen display is crystal clear, it vibrates when starting and plays the startup tone but the touch screen will not function at all. The person who gave me it took it a mobile repair shop and asked how much it would be for a new screen, £45 they quoted but he's unsure if that was for the LCD screen or touchscreen. They then looked at it and said it was water damaged and the motherboard/circuit board would need replacing too! Now I've had this phone to bits and the water mark indicators inside the Tocco casing as well as on the battery were both white so I dont think it is water damaged. I think it could just do with a new Digitalizer Touchscreen casing as if the circuit board was to fault surly the LCD screen or vibrate motion would be effected. I've done some reasearch and a lot of Samsung Tocco phones with similar probs like mine just need a new Digitalizer when the touchscreen isnt working and that works fine after.
I am having problem with F480 Tocco. My wife put it through washing machine. I put it in ultrasonic bath and then isopropanol. It will not power up but gets very warm.
I recently purchased a samsung SGH-F480. Thanks to this forum website I was able to enter the proper codes so it would work with my provider (At&t). However, the icon always shows as G network, and not 3G. Does anybody know what the problem is or/and how to fix it? My phone is 3G capable, so I know the phone should be able to do that. What can I do? Who is "in charge" of that: the phone or the service provider?
I have a problem with my Samsung F480.I want to change the default name of photos and videos (Photo) that I take with this mobile phone's camera !I searched through settings but I can't find such option!
When I try to send text messages, they sometimes end up in the Outbox, and I cannot send them on from there. This seems to happen mainly when the message has a photo attached. There is also a red letter "G" in a square which has appeared next to the signal indicator. Can anybody suggest a solution to this?
I have bought a Tocco lite a few days ago and I want to download some games from the Internet and install it in my phone but unfortunately when I download a game and transfer it to my phone it says ''unsupported file type.Waiting for some support from you.
Suddenly my Tocco started to play, when I press anything on the touch screen it registers the touch in completely different place, or doesn't at all. So, either you have to press ALOT of times to do anything or you just get angry and cannot do anything. I took it to local samsung store with my warranty, after a week I had it back and they said it was liquid damaged therefore you have to pay. What I though is, if it was liquid damaged (But I never remember to have any liquid on the phone, even a small bit) wouldent it be worse? Not just screen sensetivity. After looking on ebay I have found Digitizer with touch screen for Tocco, which costs 15 pounds. So my question is, would it solve the problem if I bought it and replaces, and if not, any way to sort it out without paying too much?
Listen a lot to my radio on my phone. The ear phones which I got with the phone broke the other day(one ear piece went mute to be more precise) Bought some new ear phone for my tocco and when I tried them I could not get a reception. When I do a search with new earphones in it wont pick up any stations, its just comes across as crackling through my ear phones. But when I put my old earphones back in and search it picks up all the stations no bother.
basically paid a website to get the unlock codes ,gave them the network the phone was on and the IMEI numbers, got the codes no problem about 4 days ago had not had time to put the codes in there still unused when all of a sudden today the phone went blank and froze after 5 mins it came back to life instead of dispaying Tesco mobile which the phone is locked to is said unlimited i thought great the websites unlocked it for me, i put an o2 sim in it came up o2 network thought great its worked then realised even tho the o2 sim is in the phone is still using the mobile numer from the tesco sim card how is this possible ? any ideas whats happened far as i knew u ordered the codes online they give you them then its up to you to install them, is it possible for the website to have done something? as i have not entered one single code into my phone all i did was send them the IMEI number and pay for it that was it never ever used the codes?
Since purchasing the Samsung i-780 in July 2008, I have had to change the motherboard three times and I am still having problems today. The phone is not stable and I frequently experience incoming/outgoing call failures and touchscreen failures. I do not even load my phone with any additional softwares and I do not use it for browsing internet, and yet the software and motherboard is not stable. The frequent malfunction of this phone has caused a lot of problems and inconveniences to my business trips. Also it is embarrassing when my business partners find out that my expensive phone is not working. This is my first and last Samsung phone.....
I cant change my screen lock setting (either to swipe, pattern or finger print), currently it is in pin setting. It shows disabled by administrator, encryption policy, or credential storage.
Since this morning i experience the problem that when i switch my phone on i cannot use the touchscreen. No input is accepted. When i switch the phone off and remove the battery and then switch it on the problem dissapears...
I've got my S2 now for maybe 2 weeks now and only now I noticed that my Wifi hotspot function is not working. I tried that with 2 different SIM's (in different countries) with the same result. Tethering via USB works fine. I can switch on the wifi hotspot (open or secured) and I can even connect to it. On my Win7 machine I have a connection for a few moments, after that I lose connection and at the end I lose connection to the wifi hotspot.
On my blackberry I can connect the first time. That connection stays open for maybe a minute. After that it automatically disconnects and I cant connect anymore until i restart the hotspot. When I switch off the hotspot it takes a long time and it ends with error (the status under wifi hotspot). If I just enable hotspot and disable it again it is without errors. So this seems only to happen when a client actually connects... I tried already a factory reset and read somewhere to enable bluetooth before enabling the hotspot, but the problem stays the same ...
I got my HTC One over a few months ago, and I kinda broke my charger in the process. I have an extra charger that came from my GS3, and everytime I use it, the screen lags soo much. Does it have to do anything with the output rating? The output rating of the GS3's charger is 1.0A.
I swapped out two LGV10's because of touchscreen issues before finding out that FB Messenger was the cause of malfunction. It would work ok for awhile after restarting the phone and then stop responding in the upper part of my screen again.Uninstalled the app.
I signed up here less than 5 mins ago in the hopes of finding some assistance with my problem.I have a N97, the touchscreen is not responding at all, the phone starts fine, the keypad works fine, but the touchscreen isnt working.
I live in Trinidad, so there is no recognized company or nokia trianed technicians I can send it to.I did however send it to a general phone technician, he said that the touch sensor isnt working and he needs to get a touch sensor (have to wait 2-3weeks for this as there is a lack of parts for the N97 in my country also.I only read about the "hard reset" today on these forums, I plan to retrieve the phone from the technician tomorrow and try the hard reset but any information or ideas in the meantime would be greatly appreciated.
I believe the phone may have fell down atleast once (sibling may have dropped it and didnt tell me)
I have a severe Nokia C7 problem. I woke up yesterday and found out that the phone touchscreen is not working while it is always locked. I tried several solutions but it didn't work. I tried to do a hard reset. Now the phone is asking me for a language setup but the screen is not responsive at all.
So I am trying to find out more info on what technology of touch screen the 9800 will have. The main reason being that i played with the Droid Incredible and the I-Phone 4 and the touchscreen on the I-phone is so perfectly responsive. The Droid felt like crap to me, so all I could dig up for the 9800 was that it is a TFT touchscreen. Does anyone know what that means and what kind of performance to expect?
Seems so far if the phone is locked i cant unlock it without having to pull the battery. Since lunch today i havent been able to get into my phone. Now if i get a call i can unlock it (After i missed the call )This all started today, which it has never done before.. i have tried the suggested found on the tmobile site for troubleshooting the HTC HD, but only works as long as i dont let the phone lock.Once its locked i have to wait for something to happen to unlock it, my buttons on the bottom work and turn on the phone. I have only had the phone for 1.5yrs maybe 2yrs. It running WM6.5 if that matters or helps suggest solutions.
My touchscreen has stopped working. There were no error messages. It was intermittenent for about one hour before it stopped completely. At first I could turn it off and turn it back on again. It would work again for about 5 minutes then become unresponsive again. I am unable to turn it off even now. I cleaned the screen, it wasn't dirty. I've updated to iOS 5. I restored to factory settings and its the same issue. It hasn't had a bang or anything.
My touchscreen was working normally; but after i got a screen protection cover i applied some pressure on the screen in order to push the air bubbles. This resulted in a dead strip on the top line of the screen that is not responding well now.
for example,Genera-Settings-Network-Enable 3G : i can't swipe it from on to off .
same with wifi : i can't change it on or off.
another example is in Safari : on the google bar when i type something & then tap & hold, i see the 3 options " Select,Select all,Paste" ...i can't press any of these 3 options.
My Iphone 3GS touchscreen has been off and on working for about a week. Now it completely will not respond. I have reset the settings, restored factory settings, turned off wifi, powered it off, let the battery did, switch the vibrate switch on and off, but nothing has worked. I really need my phone to work.
Software up to date. I am finding that my touchscreen often is not responding, particularly on certain letters when texting such as "a" & "w"...but it will also not respond when I touch the text icon to begin texting. It's driving me nuts.
i bought a new housing for my phone and followed directions exactly but now that my phone is reassembled my touchscreen is not woking and when i make a call they can hear me but i don't hear them any suggestions
I have had a motorola i1 since September of 2010. Since then, I have had 3 refurbished i1's sent to me due to issues with the touchscreen messing up and not being able to receive calls. I am on my 4th phone and my touchscreen has messed up once again. It does random things on its own and selects things on the opposite side of the screen when I try to select something. It's very frustrating. Called customer service and have done master resets / feature resets and still it hasn't fixed the problem. It is so inconvenient for me to keep setting up new phones with our IT Department at work and I have spent countless hours on the phone with Nextel or at a Sprint / Nextel store and all they ever do is give me a refurbished phone. This has to be a common problem for me to continue having it!? Can someone provide some expertise or insight on this issue?
