I have the popup "unfortunately samsung account has stopped" After opening apps, most of the time apps that are related to photos, or attaching them to apps.
Why this is happening?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5

Android version: 5.0
Starts normally and goes on to charging applications. Start showing messages saying "Sorry! The application TW Launcher has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" and the button FORCE CLOSE
Cannot make calls, cannot receive Call, also did try holding the power button in for a while and resetting it that way.
Google Calendar, and my phone app keeps opening on their own randomly. Every once and awhile my text messaging (Textra) or Dashlane will open.
It only opens however when the screen is shut off and I unlock the phone using my finger.
I don't know why its doing this and its so random.
I have an issue with my S5. I updated from KitKat to Lollipop 5 days ago. After reading some of the horror stories associated with Lollipop and battery life, lag, phone performance, etc., I didn't waste any time before doing a full factory data reset. I am pretty sure the FDR worked, since I have had absolutely no problems with battery life, lag, or my phone running hot.
However, I have this weird issue where apps will randomly start on their own. Two examples, the first is that I opened my recent apps and noticed a whole bunch of apps in there that I had 100% most certainly not opened at any time since clearing my recent apps. The second example occurred this morning. I did a 10 minute walk to work and when I got to my office, I noticed that Rocket Music Player had opened and was playing my music. I highly doubt this happened due to any physical touch because not only would the power or home button have had to be pushed, but then the screen would have had to be swiped, the Rocket Player opened, and a song clicked on to start playing. I highly doubt this all occurred in my pocket.
when trying to open the gallery to view pictures, sometimes it just wont load. Closing it and reopening it several times sometimes does the trick, but sometimes it has to be left for a while. I find this very annoying for such a lightening fast and smooth operating phone. My SGS 1 didnt have this problem.

Not sure if it's all of them, or just the recently opened ones before the restart.
It scrolls through them so fast that i can't really make note of all of them.
I tried uninstalling some apps,cleaning cache, etc but nothing seems to work.
I keep trying to update my Kies, as it demands, but all it does is repeatedly open half a license agreement window. I cannot move around the window and I cannot get to and tick where it is presumably asking me to 'agree'. All I can think of doing is uninstalling Kies and reinstalling the presumably new version. Will this cause any problems?

I came from a note 2 to the s6 and never once had a problem with the phone unlocking in my pocket but it keeps happening with my s6 and it's opening apps and texting and calling people. I don't want to have top set a lock code or anything of I don't have to. If there was a way to stop the phone from lighting up when I get a text I don't think it would unlock but I can't find an option to turn it off.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI just purchase my sg2 phone yesterday. Unfortunately, my brother has used my phone last night and register the Samsung account in it by using his email or id. When I tried to change the account, it cannot be done cause I have to do the factory reset in privacy setting (which will erase all my personal info and downloaded applications). I don't want that to happen as well. Plus, my my brother can't even remember what the password he has used for the Samsung account I'm very pissed off now that my Samsung account belong to him and the fact that I can't do the factory reset because of him. I'll mention again, he forgot the password he used for MY SAMSUNG ACCOUNT IN MY SG2.

I wonder what exactly it changed in the camera firmware? Hopefully improved things or bug fixes.I will test a few videos and see if the bitrate has changed or not.

I still get the notification in the top left hand corner that the message has been received, I still have sound with incoming ringtone and my alarm sound is still working.I went into settings - sound - volume and it looks good.I went into messages - settings - select ringtone and it looks good.i received a text message and had sound and then downloaded an application and the next text message I received the sound had gone. Don�t know if this had anything to do with it or not or whether its just a coincidence.I would like my sound notification back on my SMS.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI tried to download additional camera modes from the Galaxy app store, but nothing happens after tapping install. I then realized I didn't have a Samsung account on my S6. I tried going into Settings > Accounts > Add Account > Samsung, however nothing happens.
I am rooted, and debloated with TiBu. Tried enabling everything that was disabled, but still no luck. I'm wondering if disabling a Samsung system app changed something on my phone.

Ive had no problems with my sgs2 since getting it apart from battery life being very poor and only lasting a day at work, so a friend told me to turn on the power saving, i cudnt get along with that as i like my phone bright and fast...so i turned it off.
Since doing this my emails no longer update unless i click refresh in the gmail app? im no longer getting notifications for new emails and i cant find any setting to stop this?
I recently upgraded from Gingerbread to ICS and had battery life and overheating issues. I was told by Samsung to do a drain the battery, recharge to 100% and then to a factory reset. I followed these instructions, but now I get the following message on my screen: "Unfortunately, twlauncher has stopped"I can no longer use the phone or reinstall my data from KIES (Kies does not even recognize that my phone is connected). I have tried to reboot in Safe Mode and do a factory reset, wipe cache, and reboot from there, but i still get the same error message about the stopped twlauncher. my phone is unlocked (International European version GT-i9100) and was rooted using SU-Busybox and Recovery Clockwork Touch.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy S2 and about a week before my contract expired I bought the Galaxy, all was well and everything worked and I was getting all my emails (I am on Gmail) direct to my phone and could view them using the Gmail icon on the front of the Galaxy. A few days ago my contract expired and I am now SIM only and everything has gone downhill since, basically push email has stopped, I have rung my provider and it's obvious that they don't know what they are doing because I have received about four or five different bits of advice/guidance from them and none of the options work. The first option was to set up another email address using the email icon on the Galaxy, I did this (with the same Gmail address) and it does work...but it's intermittent (the social hub is now showing this email address).The problem with this method is that I am sure that the two emails are clashing and push Gmail is still not working although I can retrieve emails via the refresh button (in other words pull email). Another member of staff at my provider claimed that he was an Android expert and he said that any emails sent to my Gmail account should be received by the phone, he added that the SIM card is irrelevant and that I should not have to have extra email bundles etc (which is apparently what I have right now although I did not ask for them). I have checked the manage applications route and I can't select a default email, the box is greyed out so it appears that neither of my email facilities have been selected as a default...is there a way to select default email? I reckon that I should delete the additional email account and try and get the push Gmail account working again....as I said both the accounts have the same email address. In addition although I have synched my calender no dates are showing on my Google email account on my PC, the dates were showing last week but nothing now, I have not changed any of my settings on my phone and the PC since the SIM contract started, apart from setting up another email account. Lastly I can't see a way to back up my phone on Kies Air (via Wi-Fi)..
View 2 Replies View RelatedI received a new gs5 phone. I crushed my previous gs5 and after retrieving files and resetting it, I mailed it off for my insurance claim.
While setting up the new gs5 everything went smoothly, but for some reason my Samsung account would not sync, displayING "sync unavailable right now, we areally working to fix the issue"(or some thing along the lInes of that. I didn't think much of it.
Now everything a Samsung app goes to update, it says update failed and the app is deleted. I started to get concerned... I went to the Samsung App store directly and upon entering it said my Samsung app store needed to be updated, and now it is deleted too.
The S Health app seems to be the only app that I am noticeably able to use that Samsung had on my phone. The Geo News app says registration failed every time I loads up.
When I reset my phone, it has a pop-up bog that says "Download Fail. Please try again later".
I have created a new Samsung account at the web site and I am trying to link my phone to that account but at the Settings-->Accounts and sync-->Add account
There is no Samsung Account option available! There are Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, MS Exchange, Google, Facebook and Qik Lite.
BUT NO Samsung Account. I have already linked with my Google account but still nothing changed. I have already shutdown the phone but nothing changed.
ever since I bought my Samsung Galaxy S II 4 months ago If I connected my laptop the phone would enter 'PC mode' or would say 'PC mode only available when idle' and I would have to close whatever was running at the time, this worked fine for connecting to Kies and syncing my contacts, calendar and updating the firmware etc. For the past week whenever I connect it to a laptop (tried 2) the phone only chargers via USB so I can't get it to work with Samsung Kies. I have tried enabling/disabling USB debugging in the options to no affect. I tried a factory reset assuming that would sort it out and it just the same! how annoying.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn Japan, where I bought my SGS II from NTTdocomo, GPS was always working fine. But since I moved to Germany a month ago GPS has lots of problems. Google Maps as well as other map application seem not to be able to get a GPS fix:
- The map shows a location near me but not accurate.
- In Google Maps there is always a large circle around the location mark, indicating low accuracy.
- Even though I move my physical location, the location mark on the map doesn't update for a long time.
- MyTracks (by Google) constantly shows the message "Waiting for a better GPS fix".
Is my GPS sensor broken or could this be related to using a NTTdocomo branded SGS II in another country? All this is happening with a clearly visible sky.
Last week I bought a S2 and the charging from the mains has been fine. I bought another S2 for my wife, and she put this on charge in the bedroom but after a few seconds of putting on charge the charge stopped and it said 'Battery Disconnected'. Tried with my charge which was plugged in and worked OK with mine and it said the same. Tried the charger in a different plug socket in another room and the phone didn't show the message and charged ok overnight. My phone charges OK from the bedroom, but the other doesn't, but it charges ok elsewhere so it can't be any issue with the plug sockets.

In the middle of the setting up process, I was redirected to a separate page asking me to log in to the previous account I had before I abnormally reset the phone. Since I never made one, I am now stuck on that screen. Is there a way for me to bypass it or reset my phone so that I do not have to go through the Samsung account log in?
