Having a issue where apps will randomly launch when I unlock my phone (using the fingerprint scanner). It's just not one app it's many different apps on my phone. And no none of the apps where open before hand.

I have an issue with my S5. I updated from KitKat to Lollipop 5 days ago. After reading some of the horror stories associated with Lollipop and battery life, lag, phone performance, etc., I didn't waste any time before doing a full factory data reset. I am pretty sure the FDR worked, since I have had absolutely no problems with battery life, lag, or my phone running hot.
However, I have this weird issue where apps will randomly start on their own. Two examples, the first is that I opened my recent apps and noticed a whole bunch of apps in there that I had 100% most certainly not opened at any time since clearing my recent apps. The second example occurred this morning. I did a 10 minute walk to work and when I got to my office, I noticed that Rocket Music Player had opened and was playing my music. I highly doubt this happened due to any physical touch because not only would the power or home button have had to be pushed, but then the screen would have had to be swiped, the Rocket Player opened, and a song clicked on to start playing. I highly doubt this all occurred in my pocket.
Most of the time when i unlock my S6 a random app randomly opens. I am definitely not accidentally tapping a app as some of the apps that are opening are not on my home page. I am running Nova Prime launcher?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy M9 was locked and charging while I was in the shower. When I got out I noticed my phone was unlocked and awake. When I checked it Google Maps was open. I didn't touch it at all. I've noticed a couple of times when I've taken it out of my pocket that random apps would be open. I just assumed that I didn't lock it when I pocketed it.

It only opens however when the screen is shut off and I unlock the phone using my finger.
I don't know why its doing this and its so random.
I have the popup "unfortunately samsung account has stopped" After opening apps, most of the time apps that are related to photos, or attaching them to apps.

Starts normally and goes on to charging applications. Start showing messages saying "Sorry! The application TW Launcher has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" and the button FORCE CLOSE
Cannot make calls, cannot receive Call, also did try holding the power button in for a while and resetting it that way.
About half the time, when I unlock my phone, it opens a random app. Started with Google Play. I disabled. Then it was Google Music. I disabled again. Then it was Audible. I disabled. Now it is Amazon. I changed lock screen, disabled apps, checked settings.

Not sure if it's all of them, or just the recently opened ones before the restart.
It scrolls through them so fast that i can't really make note of all of them.
I tried uninstalling some apps,cleaning cache, etc but nothing seems to work.
I came from a note 2 to the s6 and never once had a problem with the phone unlocking in my pocket but it keeps happening with my s6 and it's opening apps and texting and calling people. I don't want to have top set a lock code or anything of I don't have to. If there was a way to stop the phone from lighting up when I get a text I don't think it would unlock but I can't find an option to turn it off.

View 21 Replies View RelatedAs of a few weeks ago I noticed my phone would randomly restart, I didn't think much of it until one day it shut off, restarted, and then it was locked and would not unlock no matter how long I held the side button down for, plugging it into the charger did nothing. I ended up having to let the phone just die and recharge it once it had died. I could deal with all of that, but today I noticed after it had some sluggish responses to me wanting to unlock the screen (it would stay locked and not respond to button presses until i waited around 2 or 3 minutes after hitting the button initially).
I tried to use several applications, the appstore, snapchat, youtube, and i got little to no activity from any of them. Never ending loading from just about all, or no activity whatsoever from the appstore, yet the net browser and facebook/ etc worked just fine. And to top it all off, I noticed my battery draining at an alarming rate, maybe 10% every 30 minutes even with nearly no applications running or open.
Since ugrading to Android version 5.1.1 my Sony experia Z3 has been opening all applications at once i can seem to be able to use it when it starts to do this cant use the phone.

Initially I thought I might have leaned on the screen when it was in my pocket (although I was sure it had screen-locked) and it was processing the outstanding signals, but it is now doing it when I haven't touched the screen or had anything else pressing on it. Things I have done > Factory Reset: I did a factory reset and while I was uploading contacts through kies it restarted.I have used another launcher: it still restarted while I was web browsing. ( did not download any apps for a couple days and problem still persisted randomly due to web browsing) Turned off Google Sync: It seemed to have solved the problem because it did not restart for like 2 days, but while using Pandora it lagged the music and it ended up restarting again.Cleared the cache/cookies: did nothing and still randomly restarted. Removed all facebook applications: problem still persist after a while of use.
So I have noticed lately during the middle of the night, my phone will vibrate like I got a notification. When I check, there is nothing. What is causing this?

It happens sometimes when I am doing something on the phone or the phone is in the pocket.What happens is that the phone turns off or something of that nature because the only way I can turn it on after this is by plugging it in to charge.

I don't have it set to live, I don't have an app that changes it and I haven't done the lollipop reset that ive read most people with this problem have done. I keep pushing it off a day until I start hearing good things. So far the update seems to turn your phone into garbage. I've already had to reset my phone once bc it crapped out on me and it's barely a year old so I am not updating.
View 7 Replies View Relatedthe phone maybe 6/7 weeks ago, plugged into laptop, checked up to date, restored some data from S3 backup, installed a few standard apps, all good.. After two weeks or so phone starts randomly rebooting - not with any specific app, could even be sat on the table and you'd suddenly hear the start up noise. Spoke to EE Support, tried some 'resetting the network' thing from their end, no change. Called again and was passed to Samsung Support - talked me through a hard reset. No change. Posted back to Samsung. Came back a few days later saying no fault found but they wiped it, updated it and it's good to go. Booted and phone was crashing every time I opened Internet and a few other apps. Didn't get as far as installing apps or backup. Posted back again. Phone came back again, no fault found but same problems straight out of the box. Called and explained again, posted again, this time they've told me that the phone has been damaged and is beyond repair and included a screenshot of a screen saying 'Know Warranty VOID 0x1'.
After having a rant about their packaging and that it must have been knocked in their support centre (yes, that is my level of knowledge of phone rooting) I've just Googled and found it actually means that the phone has been rooted. The phone definitely hasn't been rooted by me on purpose and the only update I've run is through Kies. The only apps installed via Play Store. Is it possible that something that Samsung Support has done or asked me to do has changed this flag?
Twice in the past week I got my phone out and it was off and unresponsive. I had to do soft boot with power volume down to get the phone working. This is something that I have not experienced with other android phones. I am on Verizon with stock Galaxy S6 running 5.0.2.
Is this a defective phone or some application causing problems. What steps can I take to troubleshoot the problem. Having my phone randomly stop working is unacceptable as this is my primary line. I can't afford to miss calls.
