is there a way to disable the alarm from the calendar? A memory comes again after a few minutes, although this was pushed away. On the Internet you read something from a menu in the calendar. How to get to that in the standard calendar?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever I set a reminder for an event (meeting, to do etc) and was not there to turn off or set to snooze when the alarm goes off, the phone stops vibrating. The light continues to blink, but no matter what buttons I press or press and hold, even the power button, the light continues to blink and the phone hangs. The only way is to remove the battery and restart the phone.
Is this a bug in the phone? I've never had such problems with previous Nokia phones. With the previous phones, once the user forgets to turn off the reminder alarm or set it to snooze, after a minute or so, the phone stops vibrating and blinking and the message hides in the background.
I am using a BB Curve 8520, black.I had initially set the alarm for all weekdays. But now I don't want the alarm anymore.The only option I have in this BB in the clock tab is Weekdays ON / OFF [blue in color in the centre of the clock].I do not have any third option of OFF, irrespective of weekdays/weekends.But it still rings sometimes though being OFF for the weekdays & the alarm time in red still shows & the tiny alarm/clock icon even shows on the desktop.
I've done options of keeping the alarm silent & all that. But it does vibrate sometimes. Sometimes the icon disappears & it comes back automatically.How do I DISABLE this alarm?? Just off it types, like we do in other phones!

View 3 Replies View Relatedwhen I first got my Desire that entering an event in the calendar did not allow me to also add an alarm to that event; the most common thing I do in the calendar is to add various events at all different dates/times, say enter an appointment in three weeks time at 15:00 and set an alarm for 13:00 on that day.The stock calendar does not allow the alarm. I have work arounds for this problem but what is the likelyhood that HTC will build that in? Surely any electronic calendar worth its name should have that facility as standard?

When I have a calendar event upcoming the notification alarm starts at the set time, but the alarm will continue until I press Stop or Snooze, which is a little bit disturbing if I'm in a meeting etc. Is there any setting so I only got a single notification signal/vibration and then the device stay quite when an upcoming calendar event (as many other devices do)? Will this function depend on witch alarm sound is activated?

My brain is lined with teflon and I forget a lot of stuff - up until now my mobile phones have been vital in remedying this.Â
Say that I have an important appointment at 14:00 two weeks from now, I punch it in the calendar on my iPhone and let it alert me an hour before the event. When the time comes my iPhone lets out a measly "beep" that no one hears and I miss the appointment - I can go entire work days without looking at my phone (and phone usage is strongly discouraged at my workplace) so this is really a big problem for me. So far I've missed a couple of important meetings, left important stuff undone and forgot to pick my kid up from kindergarten (my wife usually does, but there are those rare, calendar reminder occasions when I have to)!Â
On all the other phones I've owned I'd be able to set the calendar alarm so that it would go on and on and on until I reacted, thus minimizing the odds of me missing the alarm. How to make my iPhone do this.Â
Sure there are workarounds like making the calendar alarm go off a day before to remind me to create an actual alarm clock alarm for the day after but that really seems to be an uneccesary hazzle and a major design flaw - also, what if I'm really busy when the early reminder goes off and I forget to set the alarm? Or perhaps I should attempt to tame myself to constantly check my iPhone for possible alerts?

On main page in Active Standby, it shows all To-Dos as pending including those from future as well, like it will say 10 pending tasks while actually 2 are pending while 8 are still from some future date. This was not an issue with my earlier 6120.
To-Do alarm rings only once. Any time I miss a To-Do alarm there is no way that it reminds me again that I missed it until I check my Calender. There should be something like repeatedly ringing every 5 minutes till we respond.

I use BIS with tmobile and have my gmail emails delivered to my device.I am doing a lotus notes one-way calendar sync with my BB calendar. I am able to do this successfully. But the alarm & free/busy thing does not sync.Even though I have alarm set in my notes which works perfectly and I see the notification 15 mins before the meeting on my PC. They don't show up in BB calendar. In BB Desktop Manager-> map fields, the notes 'notify me' is mapped to 'device alarm flag' but when I open the details of an entry that BDM is going to make in the accept/reject screen these fields are empty. I am using the default field mapping in the desktop manager.
All reminder works for the entries that I create directly in BB. The device calendar reminder is set properly. No issues there.What should I change in the desktop manager so that I get a reminder in my BB for the lotus notes entry?
I upgraded my Nokia 5800 to the latest firmware (US: 40.2.005). I'm not sure I like this new firmware. When a calendar event alarm surfaces on the touchscreen (new buttons in this firmware), if the keypad is locked, the touchscreen is unresponive when attempting to hit the STOP or SNOOZE button. Strangely, the calendar alarm recurs with the normal touchscreen message (old firmware) subsequently and is responsive to the buttons (despite a keypad lock). Please advise how I can eliminate one of the two repeat calendar alarms or make the new calendar alarm responsive to touch when my keypad is locked. I try to unlock the keypad and it does not work during this time.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I have 2 calendars, my personal gmail calendar, and my work (exchange) calendar. I like the gmail calendar to have a certain notification sound, and I like the work calendar to use another.
I also use Microsoft's Outlook app for my work email and calendar, and set those notification sounds how I want them.
What happens is if I have a work calendar notification popup, I get the right notification and sound from the Outlook app, but then I also get a notification and wrong sound (it uses the gmail calendar sound) from the Android calendar app.
I know I could just disable the work calendar within the Android calendar app, but I want it in there because I have a widget set up that shows my agenda from both my personal and work calendars. If I removed the work calendar, it would leave the widget.
So I don't know if all that was confusing or not, but here is what I want: Personal gmail account calendar notifications from Android calendar appWork exchange account calendar notifications from Outlook calendar app. Both personal gmail calendar and exchange calendar set up in Android calendar app so I can see them both in my agenda widget
What I don't want is when a work event occurs, is to get 2 notifications about it using 2 different notification sounds. I only want to be notified from the Outlook calendar app.
Where/how can I in Symbian s60rd3 disable info about calendar and meetings/events when phone is locked (device - not keypad)? For example in nokia E66 synchronized with exchange. I have on screen, when I lock device, info about meetings and other events. Exist app or function in my nokia with this?

I have Neo V for almost half a year and I haven't had any problems with alarm before. Recently I upgraded to ICS, but I haven't experienced any problems with alarm till today.
I am using the stock alarm. I do not have any task killers or any special apps, just some usual games or simple apps, nothing fancy or something that could affect the entire Android OS.
Yesterday evening I set alarm to 9:00, I checked the signal, everything seemed to be as usual. In the morning I woke up and looked at a clock near my bed - oh, it's 9:05. Hmm, but why my phone did not make any noise? Ok, let's wait a bit, maybe I did not hear... 9:15. Nothing. 9:20. Still nothing. Then I took my phone and pressed the unlock button. And exactly when I did that, suddenly the alarm window popped up and phone rang. It was 9:20. To test if the alarm still works, I set up a new signal at 9:40 and put the phone aside, so it can lock. This time everything went smooth, alarm went off exactly at 9:40.
I have set a few alarms, and sometimes they don't go off, and it is really annoying since I need my alarm to get up for stuff like lectures etc! I have a Z5 and for some reason my alarm does not make a sound? On several occasions this has caused me to get late for work! Initially I just thought I was sleeping through but have tested it and for some reason it continues to be silent?!
I have checked the settings and put the alarm volume on loud and set the time according to the step by step and still no luck...
Updated Z3+ to Marshmallow 5.0.2 and subsequently discovered (on the first day back to work) that alarms (native clock) no longer work after the phone is left overnight.

If I test the alarm during the daytime (with normal phone usage) it works fine, the problem only occurs when the phone is left idle for extended periods.

View 8 Replies View RelatedDaylight savings time stared today and the alarm on my Z3v was correctly set to 0730. The alarm didn't go off though until 0830. I did set the alarm with google now, but around 8 o'clock i also checked the Alarm and Clock app and verified the correct alarm time was set and turned on. Then the alarm went off at 0830. It was a one time alarm and no other alarms were set.
