On my old phone the notification alram would repeat after 15 minutes of so until I had read my unread messages and ackowledged my notifications. This was really useful as I work in a noisy envirmonment. Can you do this on the Mini or do you have to keep looking at the phone to see if you have anything new - very sad. Also can you get a view only of new messages as currently I can see all including drafts so its tricky to know whats actually new incoming.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a Z5 compact. I was using Android KitKat (on Nexus 4) and I had a notification from the Alarm 2 hours before it rings (which also allows me to switch it off if I was already awoken for instance). It seems to have disappeared with Android Lollipop, and in spite of my searches, I couldn't find a solution. Is there a way to stop an alarm without desactivating it ?
View 5 Replies View Relatedam completely new here and completely new to the smart phone. It's just that all my other Sony phones, the alarm worked (and calendar reminder) when the phone was switched off, to wake me up ect. Is there a way to activate this so that it will work, or does the phone have to be switched on to use this facility

It's the generic clock.
It works if I set an alarm one minute away but normal work alarm does not.
I've tried deleting data and cache but no luck.
I have a C5-00.2 device and confused about the calendar alarm function. When I have a calendar event upcoming the notification alarm starts at the set time, but the alarm will continue until I press Stop or Snooze, which is a little bit disturbing if I'm in a meeting etc. Is there any setting so I only got a single notification signal/vibration and then the device stay quite when an upcoming calendar event (as many other devices do)? Will this function depend on witch alarm sound is activated?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've been having a problem these past few days, something strange is happening..
1) When i use google voice to set a reminder, for example "remind me in 2 hours to take out the laundry" it sets an alarm for that reminder instead of a notification
2) If i set the same reminder for a couple of days from now it sets it as an appointment in the calendar (it asks me which calendar app i want to use, which is new) instead of a reminder.
3) When i manually set a reminder it doesn't notify me
4) I cant seem to find where the setting is for the sound played for the reminder notification, which was somewhere in the past.
I've recently encountered a problem with my HTC One S in that it will not recognize any of my music, notification and alarm sounds at all. I've connected it to my PC to verify that the music is indeed in the music folder, but nothing comes up.
View 2 Replies View Relatednot long had my s2 and do like it a lot, when trying to use the built in alarm (from going in the clock icon), when ever i try to set time it constantly has the alarm sound as 'good morning' and i am having to set the sound to the sound i want every time i create a new alarm, is there anyway to set the phone up so anytime i create an alarm it will use the sound i want by default?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I get a text message from anyone, I get this notification chirp sound that is VERY loud. Once I was walking down the hall at work with it in my hand and the alarm went off. Someone jokingly said it sounded like a pacemaker alarm going off. Anyway, this notification usually startles me and since I share an office with 3 other people in a cubicle, I don't want this notification going off. I don't text a lot thankfully, but when I do this loud alarm really is annoying to both me and I'm sure to my co-workers.
Is there a way to change it to where I do not receive the notification when I get a text message without turning off the rest of the ringtones (i.e. putting it on vibrate)? Or is there somewhere on the phone itself I can change it? Or at least lower the volume of this notification? It doesn't seem to be in direct correlation with the volume of the phone because I've got the ring volume at 1 so I can keep down the volume, but still hear the ringtone when the phone is sitting on my desk. But this notification tone is REALLY loud. My choices shouldn't be "off" and "really loud".
What is the best and/or easiest way to have songs be used for alarm sounds? Is there any way to do it without adding apps I.e. staying native or not...?
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got the SE Xperia X10, I'm not sure what I click but it won't go to landscape anymore when I text. I really prefer texting in landscape mode. I just got the phone 3 days ago. I installed juice defender and task killer, I'm not sure if it has any thing to do with that.

I have checked my settings and it is set to rotate when I turn the phone and still nothing. View 2 Replies View RelatedI've recently acquired an Xperia Mini Pro (SK17i) with Android 2.3.4 but the screen is permanently in landscape mode. And before anyone says check display settings. Yes it is in auto rotate with full animations on. Tried repair from SE companion, hard and soft reset but to no avail.
When i check services using the *#*#7378423#*#* request, accelerometer appears to work just fine as does the Slide flip Keyboard count. I originally thought it might of been hardware fault. But these tell me otherwise.
Although, admittedly it did switch to portrait view once for a split second whilst sliding the keyboard in half way. I haven't been able to replicate it since.
Why does the camera in Xperia Z3 open directly in landscape mode? How can I prevent that and keep it in portrait mode?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a problem very similar to this [URL] but i am not using flash. White stripe only shows when light is coming direct to camera from a light source like fluorecent lamp and from a particular angle.Stripe shows in both portrait and landscape mode and always at same place. I am attaching 2 photos 1 taken in landscape and other in portrait.I have a protecting cover but it is not covering the camera lens.
I think other z3 devices do not have this issue as i have searched a lot but i only found 1 other person facing this issue and i have shared the link above. Why this stripe shows on photos? Is it a known issue? Should i claim warranty?
I noticed when I play a video on my new Z5 Premium Dual, it's displayed a little bit choppy especially when using landscape mode. I tried playing different videos that I recorded in 720p and 1080p all of them are stored in internal-storage.
I tested displaying these videos on iPhone5 and they are playing well. I did reset my device to factory settings and repair it from the computer but with no luck. It appears that all Z5P have this problem at least here in Kuwait. This is strange, I went to the store and transfered one of the videos to other two Z5P devices and the same problem happened. Moreover, the quality of the video displayed on Z5P is bad.
This 4K screen should be awsome but instead of that, I'm getting choppy/lag videos playback.
My son has sent me a photograph by MMS from his cadet camp and it has arrived in landscape. I am wanting to use it as his contact picture but it need to be in portraight style, how do I turn the photograph round through 90 degrees on the Xperia X8? So I can use it as a contact photo.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have Xperia Neo (MT15i), with the latest available ICS 4.0.4 update installed and working. Here is something that's been eating me for a while: I've always missed a landscape orientation of the home screen, and I've eagerly anticipated it with every new update. To my great disappointment, I still unsuccessful in achieveing landscape oriented home screen on my devise. That is, until recently, when I noticed that if I connect to phone with an USB cable to a computer, and then put the phone in a lanscape position, after about 15-30 seconds of heavy thinking, the screen does come up in a landscape mode! Totally shocked, I picked up the phone and disconnected it from the USB cable. Immediately, the home screen went to a portrait position and no matter how I did rotate it, it never switched back to a landscape mode. Until I connected it again to the USB cable... Weird! True, it takes it about 30 sec. to make the switch but it comes up in a landscape orientation only when it is connected viaUSB cable to a computer. why can't I have the landscape mode without the USB connection active?

View 3 Replies View RelatedAny ideas as to what I'm doing wrong here? Sometimes (about 1 day a week), I'll set my alarm, but it will not go off. When I look at the phone, it'll have the pop-up indicator thing saying "DISMISS" or "off" (can't remember exactly what it says), that indicates that the alarm was triggered, but it doesn't actually make the alarm sound.Any ideas why this may be happening? I am 100% sure the alarm is set to the right time, and the AM/PM is correct, and the phone is not on "Silent", but the alarm won't actually ring? It doesn't do it all the time, but maybe only once every 7-10 times I set the alarm, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out why. This is a big problem for me because I don't have a regular alarm clock, and I use it to wake me up for work. Twice this month I have been late for work because my alarm didn't go off.Can anyone out there possibly help me diagnose this problem? I think my boss thinks that I'm lying to him when I tell him my alarm doesn't go off, and it's really becoming a problem.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIt seems on Nokia E71, the alarm settings are lost when an alarm is activated while the mobile is turned off.The sequence which i followed was.# set an alarm with time = current time + 5 mins# switched off the mobile# When the alarm time reaches the alarm goes on and asks "if we want to turn on the phone"; select 'no'.[My opinion is that at this stage it should just inform the user that the phone is switched off, rather than giving an option to turn on the phone.]# turn on the phone and go to Menu_office_clock and check the previous alarm settings. All of them would be deleted. I saw the same error in E72 and E63.
