View 1 RepliesDoes the nexus have a way of changing the tone the alarm plays? Been searching for ages and can't seem to find it in the obvious places.
View 6 Replies View RelatedCan't we choose our own alarm tones rather than their pre fixed tones. There's collection is so stupid. Only helium seems to be some what bearable.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo basically, for no reason (no update, no restart of the device), my Nexus 5 does not show my music in Google Play Music, and my Ringtones/Alarms/Notifications that I customized do not work too (and they do no show in the list when I try to apply parameters).
No file has disappeared:
- Music is in Nexus5 > Internatl Storage > Music
- The rest of the stuff is still in Nexus 5 > Internal Storage > Ringtones, or Alarms.
Everything is here right at its place. But nothing works as before. I tried to restart the device, but no. I tried to empy cache/clear data/force stop of Google Play Music, but no. I did the same with the Media Storage app, and it did not work too. I got all the files out and back with other names, but no.
Moreover, since I forced stop of Google Music and relaunched it, now my library is polluted my dozens of songs and albums that I suppose are automatically put here as a "try it" thing, but I don't want them appearing at all, even more in my small library (okay, right now, nothing would appear I know).
I've been having a problem these past few days, something strange is happening..
1) When i use google voice to set a reminder, for example "remind me in 2 hours to take out the laundry" it sets an alarm for that reminder instead of a notification
2) If i set the same reminder for a couple of days from now it sets it as an appointment in the calendar (it asks me which calendar app i want to use, which is new) instead of a reminder.
3) When i manually set a reminder it doesn't notify me
4) I cant seem to find where the setting is for the sound played for the reminder notification, which was somewhere in the past.
Since lollipop my custom ringtone has been replaced by a system sound. I checked settings and my custom ringtone is still selected. But it doesn't work.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI switch from GS4 to the N6. One thing that I am missing is the ability to have the alarm clock sound go to the speakers, when the headphones are plugged in.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe past week my phone has started not responding and just having a black/blank screen. I can tell it's running, I get notification sounds and stuff, but it just won't respond. I can reset it by holding the power and volume up button, and that seems to fix it for some random amount of time, but eventually the screen will die again.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm on 5.1. Does everyone's phone have a delay on the ambient display when they get a message or email notification after the sound is played? I have to wait a few seconds for the screen to light up to see what it is.
View 2 Replies View RelatedBefore on Lollipop, I remember that I can set mp3 songs as my alarm wakeup on the stock alarm clock.. Just place the mp3 files inside the "Alarms" folder. Now on 6.0, the stock android alarm doesnt pick up any mp3 songs... I rather not use any 3rd part apps, how to get this to work?

View 8 Replies View RelatedThe alarm does not sound on my s5.
It's the generic clock.
It works if I set an alarm one minute away but normal work alarm does not.
I've tried deleting data and cache but no luck.
not long had my s2 and do like it a lot, when trying to use the built in alarm (from going in the clock icon), when ever i try to set time it constantly has the alarm sound as 'good morning' and i am having to set the sound to the sound i want every time i create a new alarm, is there anyway to set the phone up so anytime i create an alarm it will use the sound i want by default?

View 3 Replies View Relatedmy new Nexus 6, but I'm noticing an issue with my custom notification ringtones or sounds. I have a custom Ringtone for my Calls, that plays fine, but the Notifications for my Voicemail and Texts is not playing or Plays once the first time, then defaults back to the barely audible notification sound on the N6.
I wiped cache partition and did a factory reset before setting up the phone after the final OTA of 6.0 the day I received the phone. I'm going to try to wipe Cache Partition once again, because I saw in another Notification thread to try it.

I've had my beautiful Nexus 5 since April now, and have got it just the way I want it (screenshot below for the curious ) but I was wondering if it is possible to have custom navigation bar icons at the bottom without rooting. I have seen many images on this forum and people have custom icons on it. Do you need to root in order to do this, or can an app do it?
Here is my home screen for those who wonder:
I recently bricked my Nexus 5 after attempting to load one kernel over another (I know now that what I did was stupid) and I'm now stuck in a bootloop. I believe I'm running on 5.1.1 and have no custom recovery anymore.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone now goes into random reboot and goes into "Android is starting Optimizing app x of xxx" mode. It take a lot of efforts to bring phone back to normal. I googled for this issue but didn't find any firm solution for the same. My phone has custom ROM based on 5.1.1
The issue started few days ago and I am using this ROM since long time.
I lost my rooted access but still have a custom recovery, how is that possible?
View 3 Replies View Relatedso I have a nexus 6 I am trying to root and I am using nexus 6 root toolkit I do everything they say to do but when I install the custom rom it says I don't have root access what am I doing wrong. I have tried to root it like 3 times now and it does the same thing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am on a stock rooted Nexus 5 (with TWRP). I want to install a custom rom; however, I would like to do a clean install of the custom rom (making sure no files/settings of my previous installations are left if that makes sense). What's the best way to go about this? Does it mean I have to install both the custom rom and the recovery again in order to do a clean install?
