Before on Lollipop, I remember that I can set mp3 songs as my alarm wakeup on the stock alarm clock.. Just place the mp3 files inside the "Alarms" folder. Now on 6.0, the stock android alarm doesnt pick up any mp3 songs... I rather not use any 3rd part apps, how to get this to work?
View 1 RepliesI am rooted on stock 6.0.1 with ElementalX kernel. I have Xposed installed, but I've tried disabling all modules. I've tried deleting the stock clock data and cache. There are no alarms set or off. I've checked the alarms.db file and there are no entries.
How do I get rid of the icon and lock screen info? I only have the Google Clock installed.
The only Google result says to do a battery pull on a different device. Can't really pull the battery on this phone, though.
Alarms go off while phone is off? It don't seem to work on pure nexus which is worrying.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have started having issues with the Alarm on my 6P. I have three reoccurring alarms set up throughout the week. Sometimes they work sometimes they don't. It's as if the time is not being recognized because it could be 6:39am and the alarm was set to go off at 6:30am and it'll say upcoming alarm at 6:30am. I do not think this is inherent to the 6P as it seems like others are having issues on other devices running Marshmallow.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was never a fan alarm clocks, the awful alarms they sounds are certainly no way to start the day. My CD radio alarm clock is slowly starting to pack in and I figure my iPhone4 can do the same thing. Can anyone recommend an alarm app that randomly picks music from my library and plays it back until I make it stop? There seem to be pretty decent ones like iHome but as I understand it you pick what it plays - I quickly take a disliking to songs that wake me up too often and manually changing the playlist is a bit of a hassle.

So I went to set an alarm last night for the first time since having the iphone 5c, and for some reason it showed all of my music (including music I don't have on my ipod anymore) when I went to select a song. I was messing around and clicked a few songs I hadnt heard in a while (and don't have synced to my ipod.) Now those bands and songs are showing up in my music. I've also deleted most of these bands from my Itunes completely, so it doesn't work to just uncheck them or d and sync again, they're still there. I tried swiping to delete and was able to delete one song, but the delete button doesn't show up now. I've tried turning "show all music" on and I still can't delete manually, and I'm not sure where these songs are coming from since they're deleted from Itunes.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been having a problem these past few days, something strange is happening..
1) When i use google voice to set a reminder, for example "remind me in 2 hours to take out the laundry" it sets an alarm for that reminder instead of a notification
2) If i set the same reminder for a couple of days from now it sets it as an appointment in the calendar (it asks me which calendar app i want to use, which is new) instead of a reminder.
3) When i manually set a reminder it doesn't notify me
4) I cant seem to find where the setting is for the sound played for the reminder notification, which was somewhere in the past.
i currently have an iphone 3gs and i'm considering getting a nexus one however i have a few very important questions that i can't really seem to find answers on any reviews.so, 3 questions:
1) does the nexus one support ms exchange (and if it does, i'm assuming it's push?)
2) can you have more than 1 alarm clock? i have problems waking up sometimes, so i set about 7 alarms in the morning. is this possible with the nexus one?
3) how is the phone with at&t edge? the only thing i ever use my phone for when i'm not near a wifi network is sometimes stream music with pandora, watch Internet vids, and basic web surfing. now obviously it isn't going to be as fast as the iphone due to 3g vs edge, but is it bearable? because the original iphone on edge was fine with me,
So basically, for no reason (no update, no restart of the device), my Nexus 5 does not show my music in Google Play Music, and my Ringtones/Alarms/Notifications that I customized do not work too (and they do no show in the list when I try to apply parameters).
No file has disappeared:
- Music is in Nexus5 > Internatl Storage > Music
- The rest of the stuff is still in Nexus 5 > Internal Storage > Ringtones, or Alarms.
Everything is here right at its place. But nothing works as before. I tried to restart the device, but no. I tried to empy cache/clear data/force stop of Google Play Music, but no. I did the same with the Media Storage app, and it did not work too. I got all the files out and back with other names, but no.
Moreover, since I forced stop of Google Music and relaunched it, now my library is polluted my dozens of songs and albums that I suppose are automatically put here as a "try it" thing, but I don't want them appearing at all, even more in my small library (okay, right now, nothing would appear I know).
after Christmas "until next alarm" option disappeared from "Do Not Disturb" menu and then magically reappeared on January 1st. Now again it has disappeared. I'm running the latest stock android MMB29S.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOne feature I miss from the Torch 9800 is the ability to switch songs without turning the screen on. You just simply hold volume up/down to go to next/previous song. When I listen to music while sleeping, I hate turning on the screen every time to skip a song. Even with the lowest brightness setting it is still bothersome.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I'm connected via Bluetooth and skip a song with the steering wheel controls it wakes the screen which causes increased battery drain. On Pandora the screen stays off to conserve battery. To me it doesn't make sense for the screen to come on when switching songs. As stated it increases battery consumption and you shouldn't be looking at your phone when driving anyway. I don't know if the same can be said with Bluetooth headphones as I don't have any to test with. People switch songs until they find one they like. If they like a song and don't know the artist then they could wake the screen to see the information at that point. To me this is a HUGE negative as phone manufacturers are making phones thinner and thinner thus reducing battery size. Not to mention upon switching songs it increases the chance of accidentally skipping another song since the controls come on the wake screen. I've tested this on wired headphones with controls and the screen doesn't wake so it only seems to be a Bluetooth issue.

Draft a txt and then send to multiple recipients without each recipient being able to see the other? Basically the same thing as sending an email to multiple people via BCC option.
Would be handy for business purposes. I don't care if they see my contact. I just don't want them to see eachothers contact since not everyone I'd send to would know the other (and/or want their contact information shared).
Obviously I could copy and paste the same message to multiple people via individual txt msgs... but being able to send a group txt would be way more efficient.
I got my Nexus 6P in australia yesterday and I was playing around with the settings. One of the things I wanted to enable was Now on Tap but everytime I try and enable it (either through holding the home button, or doing it through Settings), it won't enable! When I click Get Started, nothing happens. If i'm in the settings app, the toggle just turns off after I press Get Started.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI tried to install Cataclysm ROM, and then it went into some sort of installer, after that I tried to reboot, but TWRP said it didn't have any OS?? So i tried to boot it up anyway? but nothing, just stuck on Google Logo. After that I tried to boot into TRWP agian. But then TWRP says "Mount Decrypt Data" and then i have to enter a password?? but i removed my pattern lock before flashing.
Because i made a Nandroid and i read i had to remove the password before making a backup. But then i just press cancel. Then it says " Unmodified System Partition" "Swipe to Allow Modifications" and i do that. Now i have nothing on my SD card?? Then i thought i could flash stock through Fastboot/ADB, but now it won't see my device in ADB? I have updated my drivers, both by Google and Intel But nothing? so i cant return to stock and can't boot up.
Some how i got i to reboot by an ADB command and then i could flash factory image and return to stock.
I've noticed something since I got my phone and that is that certain notifications (Snapchat and Messenger are the main 2 for at the moment) will not make a sound unless my phone is either: Unlocked or locked with the screen turned on. Sometimes I won't get even get the notification until I actually unlock my phone which then all the notifications (sometimes 10+ messages in a facebook group) will pop up and vibrate my phone multiple times.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI've been on the Pure Nexus rom for a while now and I wanted to try out the Screw'd Rom. So I downloaded and installed said rom. When It boots up and goes to the setup wizard I get no network data what so ever. I looked through the thread and it said to also flash the update vendor.zip. I did that hoping it would bring back my data but it didn't. So I decided to go back to the Pure Nexus rom, clean install, and again I have no network data. What I could do to get it back? I've tried messing with the APN settings but no dice. I should have made a back up before switching roms but unfortunately I forgot to do so.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been getting reboots semi randomly for the last week or two. Going back two weeks ago I was having some pretty poor battery life compared to some other users so I tried to do a full purge and restart. I went through the file manager on twrp and deleted any folder for any app that I wasn't using in a possibly misguided attempt to curb any file conflicts. After I did this I did a fresh install of cataclysm and Franco. After running into some reboots I tried with Kylo kernel and had the same issue. I then tried full wipe with Ubermallow and Kylo and had the same issue. Then I did a full lock, unlock, flash stock, root and recovery, and fresh install of chroma and Franco and it still reboots.
What I want to know is whether or not this could be a hardware issue and if not how to get this to stop. It's seems so random yet specific and it's happened on so many different installs. I have been rooting my phones since the OG Droid but I have never had an issue like this that lasts through so many installs of so many different things.
