I downloaded the Google calendar since I prefer that over the stock HTC one. However, I am still seeing meetings in the stock one show up in my notification tray when I swipe down.
I can't figure out how to remove this. Unchecked all calendars, turned off notifications etc.
List of apps safe to disable on stock S6 Android 5.0.2? I've found some on the internet and on the forum, but nothing specifically for Samsung/TouchWiz and nothing for Android 5.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAny way to disable the limit of characters in a text message using the Xperia messaging app. Whenever I go over a certain number of characters, the app splits my text message into 2 or 3 SMS. So the person I'm sending it to receives 2 or 3 SMS instead of one. I had the same issue on my iPhone years ago, but Apple fixed it, so I can send super long SMS. Is there a way to fix this on my Z3?

It was rooted so it was easy to disable those apps that I didn't want to ever start. Now, that I have upgraded to the Bionic, I can't play/pause or forward/back using the volume buttons nor my BT headset without it starting the stock player.

Disabling the stock messaging app enabled me to access the GO SMS app from the lock screen as well as from the Circle widget.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHave been happily using the LG V10 for about a week now (I'm a convert from Note 3, after seeing Samsung neglected we users and removed the SD card slot and removable battery). Phone has performed pretty flawlessly except for one curious thing: I expect any apps that I open will stay that way until I close them or do a 'clear all'. That has proven true so far for all apps except for the stock Calendar app! I can open it and view it, then go work with other apps or invoke the lock screen. When I unlock the phone, all the other running apps are still available, but the calendar app for some reason has been shut down and I have to reopen it. This is very curious, and I never had that issue on the Note 3.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAbsolutely loving my new HTC One here...traded in an HTC Rezound on Verizon for the ONE on AT&T and couldn't be happier! I have noticed on the stock calendar app for the One that most of the time the actual month written out (i.e. Jan, Feb, Mar, etc) along with the actual day of the week written out (Sun, Mon, Tues, etc) is missing. In the month view, all I see for individual months is the numerical value of the month without any names of the months (4/2013, 5/2013, etc).
The same I find with the day and agenda views....no names of days just dates as I scroll through (04/21/2013, 04/22/2013, etc). The week view seems to be the only one I find that has days spelled out but it actually the one view I use least...lol. Is there any setting I'm missing to get the names of months and days to show up in month, day and agenda views? My brain seems to process names of these items quicker than the numbers and so I'm wondering if I'm missing something here....my old Rezound always had the name of the day/month in clear view.
I cannot create new events in the stock calendar app. If I try to add an event when I select save the following message pops up:
"Loading Calendars"
>Insert circle that rotates similar to an hour glass
And that message with the rotating circle will stay there indefinitely if I let it.
I also have Yahoo, Outlook and Google calendars that I cannot get to sync with the stock calendar app.
How I can create a reoccurring event on the stock calendar app that repeats every 6 days?
View 5 Replies View Relatedwhen I first got my Desire that entering an event in the calendar did not allow me to also add an alarm to that event; the most common thing I do in the calendar is to add various events at all different dates/times, say enter an appointment in three weeks time at 15:00 and set an alarm for 13:00 on that day.The stock calendar does not allow the alarm. I have work arounds for this problem but what is the likelyhood that HTC will build that in? Surely any electronic calendar worth its name should have that facility as standard?

Some show up, but others(most) don't. I installed silence app to have my phone silent during repeating events, and they don't show up there either. I tried turning off sync on my Google account, and back on, but it didn't change anything.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I have 2 calendars, my personal gmail calendar, and my work (exchange) calendar. I like the gmail calendar to have a certain notification sound, and I like the work calendar to use another.
I also use Microsoft's Outlook app for my work email and calendar, and set those notification sounds how I want them.
What happens is if I have a work calendar notification popup, I get the right notification and sound from the Outlook app, but then I also get a notification and wrong sound (it uses the gmail calendar sound) from the Android calendar app.
I know I could just disable the work calendar within the Android calendar app, but I want it in there because I have a widget set up that shows my agenda from both my personal and work calendars. If I removed the work calendar, it would leave the widget.
So I don't know if all that was confusing or not, but here is what I want: Personal gmail account calendar notifications from Android calendar appWork exchange account calendar notifications from Outlook calendar app. Both personal gmail calendar and exchange calendar set up in Android calendar app so I can see them both in my agenda widget
What I don't want is when a work event occurs, is to get 2 notifications about it using 2 different notification sounds. I only want to be notified from the Outlook calendar app.

So the Appointments stayed in my home time zone, they just showed in the equivalent time period on the iPhone calendar.Â

View 1 Replies View RelatedAm facing a peculiar problem with my Blackberry Calendars.A brief background of the situation : I have 3 email ids synced to my Blackberry Bold 9000 (OS 5.0.0.681). However, none of the emails have any calendars associated with them. I sync my Address Book & Calendar entries through Outlook 2010. At this stage, there are 197 entries in the Calendar, all marked in Blue. Default Services does not show an CICAL option. Neither is there any CICAL in the Service Book.When I install the Facebook app (1.8 or above), all calendar entries get marked in Red and named as Facebook. Default Services starts showing a CICAL option with only one entry "Facebook". A Facebook CICAL is added to the Service Book. There is no option or entry for any other Calendar.
The problem is that all the entries under Facebook are the same 197 as the Outlook entries. No entries from my Facebook account are added to the device. So it is as if the Outlook Calendar has been renamed as Facebook Calendar without any Facebook entries being added to the database. The entries are not duplicated under Facebook. Just that original Outlook Calendar has now become the Facebook Calendar.I would like to have both these Calendar entries (Outlook & Facebook) on the device as many of my business associates / clients etc are on my Facebook profile and i would like some reminder of their bdays etc too.Things that I have tried so far to rectify this are as follows. Each process has been repeated multiple times with no change in results:
1) Re-set up the Facebook Calendar Entries association in the Facebook App > Options
2) Deleted Facebook CICAL from Service Book and then re-associated the App as above
3) Re-installed the Facebook app after deleting the Facebook CICAL.
I have facebook App installed on my lumia 1320, but my lumia 1320's calendar is not synchronized with facebook calendar. Hence I am not able to see Facebook calender's birthday on my lumia calendar.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSamsung SGH-t749 using New PC Studio ver. 1.2.0 IEC. When I try to sync Outlook Calendar with the phone calendar it runs out of memory. I don't know if it is using the internal mem., but I don't see a way to direct it to use the SD card. It also mentions that it is getting email info from Outlook. Does this mean that it is also syncing the address book? I only want to keep the calendar on the phone synced. Anyone have any input?

Recently I have been unable to sync my Blackberry calendar with my Outlook 2010 calendar. I am getting a message "calendar not installed" when I synch my organizer files. My other organizer files synch okay. I am able to make calendar entries on my device and on Outlook but unable to synch calendars. I tried everything I could think of.
