IPhone 5 :: IOS Calendar Stuck In Trip Time Zone / Calendar Reverts To Original
Jun 3, 2014
I recently traveled overseas and had all my calendar items show on my iPhone as in the new locations time (ie, they moved X hours so wrong, but consistent). So the Appointments stayed in my home time zone, they just showed in the equivalent time period on the iPhone calendar.Â
When I returned home, my Calendar on my MacBook reverted to normal (ie, all appointments went to the correct, original time) but the iOS Calendar has somehow locked into the other time zone that I visited for a week or so. How can I get all the appointments on my iPhone to show correctly without changing or losing any of them.
I recently travelled to Melbourne from Perth with my fancy new N97, after successfully syncing my Outlook calendar etc from my laptop to the N97 using Ovi Suite (which I agree is not as good as the old PC Suite). Time zone change has caused me a few problems, as the automatic update of the time when I arrived in Melbourne didn't take daylight saving into account, so the alarm went off an hour late etc, and so I had to manually adjust the clock. Funny that now the world clock on my phone is out by an hour now that I have arrived back in Perth. So predictably, the calendar entries now that I'm back in Perth are an hour out.
Any easy ways of updating the world clock settings so that Perth (GMT+8hrs) actually reflects what the time is so that the calendar will sync? At the moment the N97's world clock states that Perth time is 0553hrs, but the time is actually 0653hrs. If I ask the phone to change to Perth as the current location, it asks whether to change phone time to match local time in selected location, which means that the clock continues to show the correct time, despite the world clock being incorrect. I think this is the problem anyway. Thoughts?
1. I can not open Calendar. i don't know why.. How can I update it?
2. My device does not update my time zone. I use phone in Moscow, Russia. In settings there is not Moscow time zone.I tried any attempt with time's zone updating, but it is not successfully. It gets me mnay troubles with using BB9700..
When I travel and change time zones events in my calendar shift, which can be a problem with flight times etc that are always set up in local time and then suddenly appear 1, 2 or 3 hours earlier in my calendar. How do I turn off that feature?
When I create an appointment (am using the stock calendar on my Atrix), about 20% of the time it decides to use the Mountain Standard time zone instead of the Centrral Standard time zone that I am in. The time zone is set to Central in both the settings for the phone and the settings for the calendar. Anyone else seeing this problem?
Am running the latest updates and have relatively few apps installed as my phone is used for business instead of personal and fun. Also, am running on an Exchange Server, but since the calendar is setting the time zone for the appointment incorrectly (I check the time zone before even saving the appointment), it's not a prolem with the Exchange Server or with sync.
I have an iPhone 4S, updated to current iOS, that is stuck in the wrong time zone. I recently took a trip out to Southern CA, so the time zone on my phone changed to match the area. Nothing unusual there. Upon my return to the east coast, the time zone for the phone did change -- in Settings it shows this, but when I look at the calendar, everything is still displaying as if I am still on the west coast. However, when I go into any event, the initial info screen shows PST time settings, if I go into EDIT mode, the correct EST setting is there.
I've restored more times than should be necessary to no avail. I've tried to go back another version of iOS, but that doesn't work (yes, I've tried all the available tools for jailbreaking, and none work).
I live in South Africa. I do not find a South African time zone in the list. If I use another city in the +2-hour time zone, my clock time is 1 hour fast. Does it matter to the other applications if a different time zone is selected? Can one perhaps download an augmented time zone list?
I tried to sync up the calendar between my calendar and the gmail calendar. Since the sync -up my normal calendar does not open saying there is a process error. Also Moxier calendar does not show anything in the calendar though I have given the right server name for google.
Is there a way that, when setting a time on a calendar item, that the time can be locked?Example:When travelling, the time of airline flights is set when at home city.Phone is set to Auto Time, to display the system time. I.e., when travelling to a different time zone, the local time is used by the phone.Problem: The time in all calendar items are adjusted to the time zone travelled-to, not the value orginally set. Therefore the time of an airline flight is advanced (or reduced), and does not reflect the time that the flight actually departs.. a problem. One work-around is to leave the phone time setting to home time, but then the phone can't be used in place of a watch. Is there a setting in the calendar function that ignores current phone time?
With Calendar, when creating an event, it is possible to customise the time of the alarm. I like to have them all at 6am when I wake up, and that's easy done if I have my computer. But when creating an event fron the iPhone, you only have a few choices of time for an alarm, such as "1hour before the event" or "the day before", that doesn't really suit me.
Calendar and Time showing in arabic but my phone's language is English. I bought my phone from DU in UAE Dubai.solve this issue while keeping the Region to United Arab Emirates
On my iPhone I have, in my calendar, an appointment set everyday for the tablet I have to take at 8PM everyday.
But when I go to another time zone, like Paris where they are 1 hour ahead of me here in the UK, the appointment is still at 8PM, even though I know it should be at 9PM.
I have noticed that my calendar events aren't displaying correctly on my iPhone 4S. I'm not entirely sure how long it has been like this. I checked iCal on my Mac and the dates are correct there. I checked iCloud and it's correct there. I've checked my iPad and iPhone are both off by a day. Could this go all the way back to Daylight Savings time change?
Info: iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.2), 2.93 GHz Intel Core i7 Processor
Is there a way to set a default start time for new events in calendar? For some odd reason my event start time always is 3am,and I'd like to change it to 8am ...
I wanted to share my Home iCloud calendar on my iPhone with my wife so we could both add our respective events and see when the other person is busy. So far, all well. I logged on to the iCloud web site and shared my calendar with my wife.
She then accepted the shared calendar, but then her own Home calendar was replaced with mine, and she can no longer find hers anywhere. It's not on iCloud when she logs on to the web site, and there is no trace of it on her iPhone. And is there a chance we can get her calendar back? There were a lot of events on her calendar.
Recently a couple of my board members purchased IPhones and IPads. And I have set them up the best I can. If they create a calendar entry on the IPhone or IPad it will show up in Outlook right away. However if they or one of their admins log onto their Outlook calendars and remove a schedule meeting the entry will not delete off the IPhone or IPads. I know there is a 15 minute sync on the devices but I have tested them after hours and days and the entries are still on the calendars on the mobile devices. This creates serious issues when people show up to meetings and destinations that have been cancled days in advanced.
I travel a lot to different timezones with my iPhone, and have just got back from India which is 4.5 hour ahead of the UK. Since getting back and resetting the timezone in General - Date & Time to London, I've found what seems to be a bug.
I have my iPhone synced to our Exchange server at work.
When I received ICS meeting requests from anyone, the meeting request notification that appears shows the time in India Time Zone, even though if I then open the request it's shown as the correct time in my Calendar and in the details of the request.
As mentioned, I'm set the the correct timezone in Date & Time. And in Calendar settings I've tried with TimeZone Support both on and off, but nothing makes a difference.
I have also tried rebooting the iPhone. I haven't done a restore yet as I have loads of stuff on there and it takes ages to restore.
So my wifes iPhone 5 likes to send me invites with incorrect times. She will set the appointment for say, 7am-8am West coast time. But when I receive the invite, it shows 10am-11am EST. Â
If an outside user sends me a calendar invite from their Iphone (my wife), it only adds event to my iphone, won't sync back to my exchange server, and ultimately my PC.
There are two different calendars in my phone, and would make life much easier if all events would sync within one calendar, and ultimately back to my exchange server.
Since the time change on Saturday night, my phone keeps jumping between two time zones. I have tried resetting it in the set up menu and turning my phone off and on again. Any ideas why and how to fix it?
When traveling to a location in a new time zone, phone does not display correct time. Network time shows correct time, but is not displayed on home screen.
I am new to apple products and have purchase an iPhone and an iPad. I have figured out how to work with my iPad calendar but don't know how to sync it to my iPhone,
