IPhone :: Stuck In Wrong Time Zone?

May 19, 2012

I have an iPhone 4S, updated to current iOS, that is stuck in the wrong time zone. I recently took a trip out to Southern CA, so the time zone on my phone changed to match the area. Nothing unusual there. Upon my return to the east coast, the time zone for the phone did change -- in Settings it shows this, but when I look at the calendar, everything is still displaying as if I am still on the west coast. However, when I go into any event, the initial info screen shows PST time settings, if I go into EDIT mode, the correct EST setting is there.

I've restored more times than should be necessary to no avail. I've tried to go back another version of iOS, but that doesn't work (yes, I've tried all the available tools for jailbreaking, and none work).

BB Bold 9000 :: Time Zone Changes - How To Change Time Zone And Leave Appointments In Their Original Time Zone

May 30, 2009

Problem, though probably addressed somewhere, so sorry......left this AM for Chicago....one hour time difference from NY. BB's don't automatically change the time as cell phones do, you need to go into tools and change to appropriate time zone. Problem is, and you all probably know, the appointments in BB calendar change by one hour as well. How do you change the time zone and leave the appointments in their original time zone? I guess you can change the time manually, but is there a setting or such that I am missing?

BB Curve 83xx :: SMS Text Timestamp Wrong (Time Zone?)

Oct 5, 2009

So I used to live on the East Coast but recently moved to the West Coast. My phone number is still the East Coast number, which COULD be the reason my INCOMING texts have the wrong timestamp on them.

If someone sends me a text, on the main messages screen it has the correct time, but when I open it up it will have the wrong timestamp above the message. It will say I received it in the future.. 3 hours later than the current time on the West Coast (aka it says the time on the East Coast).

When I send a message, it has the correct West Coast time. So in the thread of messages with someone, it goes back and forth between, for example, 6 PM and 3 PM. It is extremely annoying! I know for a fact that my date/time is correct, with the correct time zone and everything.

Motorola Atrix 4G :: Calendar Appointments Randomly In Wrong Time Zone

Sep 4, 2011

When I create an appointment (am using the stock calendar on my Atrix), about 20% of the time it decides to use the Mountain Standard time zone instead of the Centrral Standard time zone that I am in. The time zone is set to Central in both the settings for the phone and the settings for the calendar. Anyone else seeing this problem?

Am running the latest updates and have relatively few apps installed as my phone is used for business instead of personal and fun. Also, am running on an Exchange Server, but since the calendar is setting the time zone for the appointment incorrectly (I check the time zone before even saving the appointment), it's not a prolem with the Exchange Server or with sync.

BB Curve 8900 :: Charged With Wrong Battery Now Phone Stuck On Date And Time Is Wrong

Jul 3, 2009

Just got back from holiday, took my BB with me but only had minimal charge on it, went to charge it in the hotel ... and I'd brought the wrong charger. So battery died and wasn't charged for a week. Got home, had it on charge for 24 hours continually, but phone is stuck on Wednesday 24 June and the time is wrong. I've tried taking the battery out and putting it back in, leaving it switched off for a while, pretty much everything I can think of and I am stuck.

IPhone 5 :: IOS Calendar Stuck In Trip Time Zone / Calendar Reverts To Original

Jun 3, 2014

I recently traveled overseas and had all my calendar items show on my iPhone as in the new locations time (ie, they moved X hours so wrong, but consistent). So the Appointments stayed in my home time zone, they just showed in the equivalent time period on the iPhone calendar.

When I returned home, my Calendar on my MacBook reverted to normal (ie, all appointments went to the correct, original time) but the iOS Calendar has somehow locked into the other time zone that I visited for a week or so. How can I get all the appointments on my iPhone to show correctly without changing or losing any of them.

BB (RIM) :: Time Zone Does Not Automatically Change When Cross Into Another Time Zone

I have noticed on my phone and a few of my buddies blackberries that the time does not automatically change when you cross over into another time zone. Why is this? I am driving from the midwest to the east coast this week on a 10 day trip. Unlike when you fly, my phone will never be turned off.I seem to recall threads that blackberries DON'T adjust times like regular cell phones. But, I don't want to look at the wrong time for a week. Since this is a pleasure trip and I don't have any meetings scheduled, can I just change the time manually and then change it back when I return?Pros, cons, suggestions?

Good evening everyone. I just spent the last week in Dallas in two back to back meetings. When I got off the plane there and turned my 8310 back on, I expected it to recognize the new location and adjust my time to Central time from San Francisco Pacific time. It did not automatically adjust. I had to go in and tell it that it was now operating in the Central time zone. Is my BB working properly or should it have automatically added 2 hours?

BB Bold 9000 :: Change Time Without Changing Time Zone?

Sep 24, 2009

Is there a way to change the time displayed on the home screen without changing the time zone? Most other dumb phones and the iPhone (which I came from) displayed the time depending on what the network shows. From what I've seen with BlackBerry, even if you change Date/Time settings to Network instead of BlackBerry, it still shows it based on the time zone you have set. I travel between NY and CA, which is why I'm asking. When I change time zones in the BlackBerry settings, it changes all the times of my Calendar entries, which makes it difficult when I'm trying to look at where and when my next meeting is while I'm out in CA.Anybody know a way around this? I'm not on a BES and use Google Sync to get my Calendar data to my Bold.

IPhone :: 3G Keeps Defaulting To Time Zone Cupertino

I noticed my mail is showing the wrong 'received' time. On receiving a mail, it shows the received time several hours before the current time on my phone. The time on my phone is correct.

So I looked in the time zone settings and it is set to Cupertino. I have repeatedly set this to London or Edinburgh but when I go to mail, the times are still wrong. When I return to Prefs, the time zone has reset to Cupertino. I have tested all this loads of times and my changes seem to stick until I go to Mail. As soon as I do this, it revert to Cupertino. This happens regardless of the Time Zone Support settings in mail.

IPhone :: 3GS - World Clock Showing Wrong Time Even Time Updated Correctly

Mar 14, 2010

My iPhone 3GS is set to change time automatically with the Daylight Savings change. That worked as the phone time itself is correct, but the times for the different places in the built-in World Clock app are still off by an hour (they are on the old time). This is also true of my husband's iPhone 3G. Strangely, I have an iPod touch that adjusted both its system time and the World Clock times without difficulty.

I have tried syncing the phone, toggling on/off the update time automatically, and rebooting, but the time is still incorrect. If I try adding a new place, it will also have the wrong time.

There may also be an issue with other apps - the ESPN app had the start time of a game today off by an hour as well.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this?

Edit: To clarify, the times are wrong for US cities that do observe DST, such as New York, Chicago, etc.

HTC :: How To Change Time Zone?

Mar 13, 2008

how to change my time zone..My issue is this, I frequently travel between time zones, with outlook you can enter your time for an outlook entry by time zone, but I can not seem to do this with the standard calendar in my TILT nor any custom application (I have tried agenda fusion & Pocket Informant).Does anyone know of any custom app that allows a user to do this? You may be asking why is this such an issue?? Well essentially my travel itenerary gets put into outlook with the start time of my flights based on the zone where that the flight departs from and an end time of where the flight terminates. When the phone changes the time zone, it screws up all if my flight times... This is an annoyance as I will, at any time, have 8-10 flights in my calendar.

It would be nice to be able to put my flights leaves at 9:00 EST and lands 11:00 CDT, like i can do in outlook.Just as an FYI, my flight information is automatically put into my calendar I do not do it manually.
