IPhone :: Stuck In Wrong Time Zone?

I have an iPhone 4S, updated to current iOS, that is stuck in the wrong time zone. I recently took a trip out to Southern CA, so the time zone on my phone changed to match the area. Nothing unusual there. Upon my return to the east coast, the time zone for the phone did change -- in Settings it shows this, but when I look at the calendar, everything is still displaying as if I am still on the west coast. However, when I go into any event, the initial info screen shows PST time settings, if I go into EDIT mode, the correct EST setting is there.

I've restored more times than should be necessary to no avail. I've tried to go back another version of iOS, but that doesn't work (yes, I've tried all the available tools for jailbreaking, and none work).

iPhone 4S, iOS 5, iOS 5.1.1

by one hour and 40 minutes. Time zone correct. Auto time has been toggled on and off a couple of times. Reset the phone a couple of times. In the short time I've written this, it's lost 2 minutes. Was one hour and 38 minutes off when I started.

BB Bold 9000 :: Time Zone Changes - How To Change Time Zone And Leave Appointments In Their Original Time Zone
Problem, though probably addressed somewhere, so sorry......left this AM for Chicago....one hour time difference from NY. BB's don't automatically change the time as cell phones do, you need to go into tools and change to appropriate time zone. Problem is, and you all probably know, the appointments in BB calendar change by one hour as well. How do you change the time zone and leave the appointments in their original time zone? I guess you can change the time manually, but is there a setting or such that I am missing?

BB Curve 83xx :: SMS Text Timestamp Wrong (Time Zone?)
So I used to live on the East Coast but recently moved to the West Coast. My phone number is still the East Coast number, which COULD be the reason my INCOMING texts have the wrong timestamp on them.

If someone sends me a text, on the main messages screen it has the correct time, but when I open it up it will have the wrong timestamp above the message. It will say I received it in the future.. 3 hours later than the current time on the West Coast (aka it says the time on the East Coast).

When I send a message, it has the correct West Coast time. So in the thread of messages with someone, it goes back and forth between, for example, 6 PM and 3 PM. It is extremely annoying! I know for a fact that my date/time is correct, with the correct time zone and everything.

BB Curve 8900 :: Charged With Wrong Battery Now Phone Stuck On Date And Time Is Wrong
Just got back from holiday, took my BB with me but only had minimal charge on it, went to charge it in the hotel ... and I'd brought the wrong charger. So battery died and wasn't charged for a week. Got home, had it on charge for 24 hours continually, but phone is stuck on Wednesday 24 June and the time is wrong. I've tried taking the battery out and putting it back in, leaving it switched off for a while, pretty much everything I can think of and I am stuck.

Motorola Atrix 4G :: Calendar Appointments Randomly In Wrong Time Zone
When I create an appointment (am using the stock calendar on my Atrix), about 20% of the time it decides to use the Mountain Standard time zone instead of the Centrral Standard time zone that I am in. The time zone is set to Central in both the settings for the phone and the settings for the calendar. Anyone else seeing this problem?

Am running the latest updates and have relatively few apps installed as my phone is used for business instead of personal and fun. Also, am running on an Exchange Server, but since the calendar is setting the time zone for the appointment incorrectly (I check the time zone before even saving the appointment), it's not a prolem with the Exchange Server or with sync.

IPhone :: Time Zone Changes To Mac Time Zone When Cable Is Connected
Since the new update of iTunes came out, I had a problem with the time zone in my iPhone. I travel a lot, and always keep my

Macbook on Hong Kong time
Wristwatch on UTC/GMT time
iPhone (or previous phone) on local time

This all worked well until a few days ago. But now, for SOME reason, whatever setting I have in my Macbook now (which is Hong Kong time), CHANGES the time zone in the iPhone when I INSERT THE USB CABLE, NOT when I just sync it. I tried this and can replicate it 100%. I change the time zone on my Mac to any time zone around the world, pull the USB cable out, and insert it again. Watching the clock on the iPhone, I can see it changes about 1 second after I insert the cable, to whatever new time zone I have selected on my Mac. If I then, afterward, change the time zone on my mac and click "sync" in iTunes, nothing happens. Only when I re-insert the cable, the time zone changes one second after connecting it.

I DON'T WANT THIS, I need to keep my local time in my iPhone. I already now missed several items because my alarm did NOT go off. CALENDAR events are NO PROBLEM as they adjust for time zone already, so they are on time.

I live in South Africa. I do not find a South African time zone in the list. If I use another city in the +2-hour time zone, my clock time is 1 hour fast. Does it matter to the other applications if a different time zone is selected? Can one perhaps download an augmented time zone list?

I have noticed on my phone and a few of my buddies blackberries that the time does not automatically change when you cross over into another time zone. Why is this? I found out you can go into the settings and select "update time", but is this the only option for making sure you have the correct time on your Blackberry?

IPhone :: Date And Time Keeps Changing To Cupertino Time Zone
Every time i change my Time Zone in Settings>General>Date & Time to "London,United Kingdom" it correctly changes to "London" but if i exit Settings and navigate back to Time Zone settings it has changed to "Cupertino".

This effects World Clocks and other apps which is most annoying.

I have firmware 2.0(5A345) installed on the iPhone. Is there a way to upgrade this? Will i lose all my current data if i do a firmware upgrade? Will it even fix the issue?

Please help, there are currently 2 options I have. Find a fix or move to Cupertino so that my iPhone displays the correct time.

Is there a less drastic option?

IPhone :: Keep The Time Of My Appointments Correct When Changing Time Zone
I travel all over the world and almost always put appointments first into my iPhone, since I rarely am at home. The iCal on my iPhone is therefore my principle diary and that on my Mac Pro effectively the backup. When syncing with iTunes (I think) the time of the entry I originally made is changed during the sync by the difference in time between the time zone I was in when I entered the appointment, and my home time. This makes my diary useless, and some of the changes I have made to repeat items have completely scrambled themselves.

When I put an appointment in my calendar for 11.30am that is what I want. I do not want my phone, or home computer, changing it to 12.30 because I was in Germany when I actually got the email organising the meeting and recorder the appointment in my diary.

To be honest I would have thought this would be the default, since I do not know anybody who would intuitively think that keying in appointment times offset by the difference in time between their current zone and where they will be in the future.

Perhaps the programmer does not travel much.

I have seen a "floating" time zone choice in the support pages, but can not find how to set it on my iPhone. I have updated to v3 iPhone, my Mac Pro is 10.5.7.

BB Curve 8300 :: Automatic Time Change Based On New Time Zone?
Good evening everyone. I just spent the last week in Dallas in two back to back meetings. When I got off the plane there and turned my 8310 back on, I expected it to recognize the new location and adjust my time to Central time from San Francisco Pacific time. It did not automatically adjust. I had to go in and tell it that it was now operating in the Central time zone. Is my BB working properly or should it have automatically added 2 hours?

BB Bold 9000 :: Change Time Without Changing Time Zone?
Is there a way to change the time displayed on the home screen without changing the time zone? Most other dumb phones and the iPhone (which I came from) displayed the time depending on what the network shows. From what I've seen with BlackBerry, even if you change Date/Time settings to Network instead of BlackBerry, it still shows it based on the time zone you have set. I travel between NY and CA, which is why I'm asking. When I change time zones in the BlackBerry settings, it changes all the times of my Calendar entries, which makes it difficult when I'm trying to look at where and when my next meeting is while I'm out in CA.Anybody know a way around this? I'm not on a BES and use Google Sync to get my Calendar data to my Bold.

IPhone :: 3GS - World Clock Showing Wrong Time Even Time Updated Correctly
My iPhone 3GS is set to change time automatically with the Daylight Savings change. That worked as the phone time itself is correct, but the times for the different places in the built-in World Clock app are still off by an hour (they are on the old time). This is also true of my husband's iPhone 3G. Strangely, I have an iPod touch that adjusted both its system time and the World Clock times without difficulty.

I have tried syncing the phone, toggling on/off the update time automatically, and rebooting, but the time is still incorrect. If I try adding a new place, it will also have the wrong time.

There may also be an issue with other apps - the ESPN app had the start time of a game today off by an hour as well.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this?

Edit: To clarify, the times are wrong for US cities that do observe DST, such as New York, Chicago, etc.
