View 1 Replies View RelatedI live in South Africa. I do not find a South African time zone in the list. If I use another city in the +2-hour time zone, my clock time is 1 hour fast. Does it matter to the other applications if a different time zone is selected? Can one perhaps download an augmented time zone list?

When I sync my BB using desktop manager the time zone re-sets itself from GMT Dublin London time to Eniwetok-12 gmt ( I don't even know were Eniwetok is) . Here's some of the settings and systems information. On the Blackberry under Date and Time the update time is set to automatic, time zone- 12 hour-auto update. On the Desktop Software I have all the default settings to standard 2 way sync default with Microsoft Outlook 2007. The time zone on my computer is GMT London Dublin. I am running on Windows 7 - 64 bit.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI travel a lot and I've noticed that quite often when I turn on my phone after landing that the time zone doesn't automatically switch time zones and network time is unavailable. Is there a reason for this? I would have thought that all networks would broadcast time and that all phones would be able to receive it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had a handful of times I've looked to check the time and it is off by at least 5 or 6 hours. The time zone is correct under settings and it eventually fixes itself... but it is really strange. When I send a text while the time is off the time stamp on the text is also off.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just switched from one curve to the exact same one. I'm not exactly sure what is going on, but the only time zone I have available is Casablanca. Which is not where I am located.
I've updated the time manually, but my calendar and everything else is in the wrong time zone.
I live in the central time zone part of Florida. Yesterday I took a trip into the eastern time zone part. My Iphone 4 time switched over to the eastern time zone. It did not switch back over when I returned home.

everytime I synch my Curve 9360 with my desktop software, the Time Zone changes from GMT to Eniwetok (which is minus 12 hours) automatically. I had this problem with my old 9700 since the issues a few weeks back, and hoped the upgrade would change the problem - not so.

I've had this phone for about a year, maybe a little over a year, and it's always updated to the local time zone when I travel. It just does it automatically. When I turn the phone on when the plane lands, within a minute or two it's on local time.
This week I'm in Dallas, which is on the Central time zone, but my phone is not updating to Central -- it's still showing Eastern time, which is my "home" time zone.
I looked at the settings in the setup wizard and "update time zone automatically" is selected. But it's not updating.
I've turned the phone off and on again. I've taken the battery out and replaced it, letting the phone reboot.
I've read all of the posts about time zones NOT changing as you travel, but I have the opposite problem. My BB Storm will momentarily update to Eastern Time, then immediately go back to Central Time. Considering I live smack in the middle of Central Time, this is a bit "Twilight Zone". It also seems more prone to doing this when I'm in an area where I know my phone service goes in and out. Anyone else run into this?
Options -- Date/Time -- TimeZone -- Auto Update TimeZone "on"
I just changed the Auto Update to "off" and updated the software (now v5.0.0.328, platform 4.2.0.128), so I'm waiting to see if it does it again, but I'm hoping someone can tell me what's going on. I'd kind of like to go back to the Auto Update On.
I have an iPhone 4S, updated to current iOS, that is stuck in the wrong time zone. I recently took a trip out to Southern CA, so the time zone on my phone changed to match the area. Nothing unusual there. Upon my return to the east coast, the time zone for the phone did change -- in Settings it shows this, but when I look at the calendar, everything is still displaying as if I am still on the west coast. However, when I go into any event, the initial info screen shows PST time settings, if I go into EDIT mode, the correct EST setting is there.
I've restored more times than should be necessary to no avail. I've tried to go back another version of iOS, but that doesn't work (yes, I've tried all the available tools for jailbreaking, and none work).
Info:
iPhone 4S, iOS 5, iOS 5.1.1
I have an S5 and haven't had any issues with it until now. I was in Puerto Rico recently and saw that my display clocks on my home screen and the task bar above were not syncing. The home screen clock displayed the correct time for the time zone, the task bar clock displayed the time in my home time zone. This never happened before and I travel a lot throughout the continental US.
Also when I wanted to set my alarm to wake me up, I had to set it according to my home time zone. That's a lot of math for someone to do while on vacation.
I recently tried doing an update to my phone - what a mistake. Finally I got it working but now the time zone list only shows 1 timezone, and it is not mine. How do I restore that list again, another software update>
View 3 Replies View RelatedSuddenly, the phone's clock started showing a time that was offset by two hours for my local time.
I deselected automatic time zone and auto date/time and set them manually. If I return it to automatic, it will show my precise location but the timezone and local time would be offset by two hours (earlier, not later).
Currently, I have auto date/time and selected my time zone automatically. It shows the right date and time but the screen showing my current position still shows the clock two hours behind.
I recently travelled to Melbourne from Perth with my fancy new N97, after successfully syncing my Outlook calendar etc from my laptop to the N97 using Ovi Suite (which I agree is not as good as the old PC Suite). Time zone change has caused me a few problems, as the automatic update of the time when I arrived in Melbourne didn't take daylight saving into account, so the alarm went off an hour late etc, and so I had to manually adjust the clock. Funny that now the world clock on my phone is out by an hour now that I have arrived back in Perth. So predictably, the calendar entries now that I'm back in Perth are an hour out.
Any easy ways of updating the world clock settings so that Perth (GMT+8hrs) actually reflects what the time is so that the calendar will sync? At the moment the N97's world clock states that Perth time is 0553hrs, but the time is actually 0653hrs. If I ask the phone to change to Perth as the current location, it asks whether to change phone time to match local time in selected location, which means that the clock continues to show the correct time, despite the world clock being incorrect. I think this is the problem anyway. Thoughts?
So I live in california and traveled to hawaii. Time adjusted fine but when I hooked up my storm2 to my laptop thru usb to use tether it reverted back to California time. Now my laptop is still set to cali time but why would it change my phone? I tried a reset and *228 but its still on california time.
View 6 Replies View RelatedThere is one thing that drives me insane about my BB 9000 and that is when displaying the time it takes into count the time zone. When I travel my BB is also my clock. So when landing into an airport that is in a different time zone I have to take that into count. For example I live in CST, so landing into a EST city I have to go into my option and change the time zone from CST to EST. If I don't then I am am an hour slow.
Now I see there is an option in Options => Date/Time called "Date/Time Source". I have this selected to "Network". This doesn't seem to help. I do see that it updates based on the network but the time zone is still in effect. For example;
Time Zone: CST
Time: 2:30 PM
Network time: 3:30 PM
Is there a way to force the BB not to take into count time zone?
1. I can not open Calendar. i don't know why.. How can I update it?
2. My device does not update my time zone. I use phone in Moscow, Russia. In settings there is not Moscow time zone.I tried any attempt with time's zone updating, but it is not successfully. It gets me mnay troubles with using BB9700..
As of Monday, we noticed all our BB fleet's times were an hour ahead.[URL]... as per the link from Telstra's web site.I uploaded the required time zone update as per the instructions, confirmed it is resident in the Blackberry but am still an hour over.
Checking the time info on the BB, it shows the Network time is correct but the device time is still one hour out.As I have not been able to find anywhere in the KB article that it is for Western Australia, I am guessing this DST patch was NOT applicable for ourselves. Is there another patch I need to try to allow the BB's to work?
I would like to know if there is a way to avoid calendar appointment times changing when the time zone automatically updates. I would book theatre tickets in New York at 8pm and put that in my calendar. When my BB Curve updates the time to New York time from South African time, all my appointments also change by the 7 hour difference.
Is there a way of keeping the calendar entries at the entered time when the phone updates it's time zone. This also happens when updating the time manually on the phone.
I just bought the n900 and it's great but I ran into bit of a problem regarding Conversations and SMS. Somehow, every message I recieve is timestamped 5 Hours behind my time. I live in Toronto, Canada and my settings for Time and Date + World Clock are all set to reflect my time zone (+5 GMT) When I reply, it posts the correct time.
Example-
Me: Hey (05:02 pm)
Person: wsup (12:03 pm)
Me: nm (05:04 pm)
It's quite unpleasant to see the times all messed up. I've double checked all the basic settings and nothing points to a solution.
My Storm II about a week ago started doing this Updating Time Zone. When it does it, it does it about every three minutes, switching to another time zone and then coming back to the one it belongs in. This is getting frustrating as it messes up my calendar and I keep getting these meeting notices. I have removed the battery and that has not helped. At first I thought it was when I was in areas with bad coverage but today it was doing it while in Minneapolis Minnesota. Anyone else having this trouble and what did you do? I have updated the Roaming and it still does it.
