Since the time change on Saturday night, my phone keeps jumping between two time zones. I have tried resetting it in the set up menu and turning my phone off and on again. Any ideas why and how to fix it?
View 5 RepliesI went to a different time zone last month and of course changed my clock on my Curve 8520 to that zone (6 hours ahead of my home zone EST). Of course when I returned I changed back. Since then every time I sync to my computer the zone changes to a different time (7 hours behind my zone). Also now after a sync when I click on the clock icon it shows 2 analog clocks. One large one with the new wrong time and a small one to the left showing the correct time. After I reset the time I get only one large analog clock showing the correct time until I resync again.I have checked and rechecked the settings. I have changed the date/time source setting from 'Blackberry' Network Time to 'Network' Time and this does not make any difference. I've pulled the battery. I've reset the sync maagement options.What a pain having to change the time every time I sync. I've called my service provider (rogers) and they went through the same steps I have already tried.

Does it matter to the other applications if a different time zone is selected? Can one perhaps download an augmented time zone list?

View 5 Replies View RelatedLast night my BB had a bit of a "moment" whereby for some strange reason, it changed the time and date of it's own accord to a future date in September, so my Twitter was showing tweets as "61 days ago" and my email was arriving with a future date showing.
It's back to normal now, (again, of it's own accord) apart from my emails - the ones I received are still showing as September which is rather annoying as I now have to scroll down to read new emails.Is there any way of changing the received date on them? I can't seem to find any option to do so. I know I could delete them but I kinda need them saved for now! Why did my BB do this in the first place?
I travel a lot and I've noticed that quite often when I turn on my phone after landing that the time zone doesn't automatically switch time zones and network time is unavailable. Is there a reason for this? I would have thought that all networks would broadcast time and that all phones would be able to receive it.

It took about 25 min to boot up But when I 1st got it, it took about 3-5 min to boot up.Can someone help me figure out how to fix this problem?
View 14 Replies View RelatedThe Last sync and Last backup dates don't update when I connect to BB desktop and do auto sync and backup. This causes backup to run every time I connect instead of weekly like I have it setup. If I do a manual sync the date updates but if I do a manual backup the date stays unchanged. I'm running desktop 6.0.0.43 and OS 5.0.0.886. Does anyone know how to cure this problem?

The time zone is correct under settings and it eventually fixes itself... but it is really strange. When I send a text while the time is off the time stamp on the text is also off.

When I sync my BB using desktop manager the time zone re-sets itself from GMT Dublin London time to Eniwetok-12 gmt ( I don't even know were Eniwetok is) . Here's some of the settings and systems information. On the Blackberry under Date and Time the update time is set to automatic, time zone- 12 hour-auto update. On the Desktop Software I have all the default settings to standard 2 way sync default with Microsoft Outlook 2007. The time zone on my computer is GMT London Dublin. I am running on Windows 7 - 64 bit.

Before the most recent update my phone occasionally change time zone from eastern to central. After the update I pretty much lost the ability to automatically connect to LTE, it would mostly only connect by toggling airplane mode or the CDMA CDMA/LTE mode. Spoke with HTC which suggested remove and re-install sim card.I followed HTC suggestion.
After phone rebooted it connected to LTE but was stuck in Central Time Zone for about 4 hours, then the phone finally went back to Eastern Time Zone.My LTE issue seems resolved but the phone continues to revert back to Central Time 4 to 5 times per day for up to a half an hour each time regardless of where I am locally.I know I can manually set my time zone but I dont think I should have to do that.In CDMA only mode the phone is fine.
Each time I go out and return to sit back at my PC, OVI Suite window jumps out.Now dear developers, if anyone reads it - this issue is dreadfully annoying and has been reported on many forums for a really long time.Yet on all the threads I've seen (at least here, at Discussions) I have seen no single entry saying "we will fix" or anything.If coding a simple checkbox "do not pop out" is really that hard, then at least say "we will not fix it". Just few words of information would be sufficient.

When I recently flew to the East Coast, all my iCal appointments shifted 3 hours. Thus appointments I had at 9 am rang at 6 am, etc. It had shifted all my appointments by 3 hours. How can I get iCal to not shift appointment times as I cross time zones?

I just switched from one curve to the exact same one. I'm not exactly sure what is going on, but the only time zone I have available is Casablanca. Which is not where I am located.
I've updated the time manually, but my calendar and everything else is in the wrong time zone.
About half of year ago in Russia was passed the low, that we don't transfer to winter time. About two mounths ago my nokia 5230 transfer to winter time. I wait update program every day, becouse my clock wrong to me.I try to tune clock by hand and change time zone, but GPS disordered my clock everytime. I try to get help from russian call center, but them except as standart phrases "The Developers know about this problems, We don't know nothing, Just wait and belive, The developers develop development... bla bla bla" and nothing more. I like my phone very much (much more than all Android and Iphones taken one with another) but i think that case is irresponsibility of Nokia Company and its Russian offices.

I've had this phone for about a year, maybe a little over a year, and it's always updated to the local time zone when I travel. It just does it automatically. When I turn the phone on when the plane lands, within a minute or two it's on local time.
This week I'm in Dallas, which is on the Central time zone, but my phone is not updating to Central -- it's still showing Eastern time, which is my "home" time zone.
I looked at the settings in the setup wizard and "update time zone automatically" is selected. But it's not updating.
I've turned the phone off and on again. I've taken the battery out and replaced it, letting the phone reboot.
My Blackberry Torch Is always changing time zone have done all I can DOI have talk to My support center whit BELL and now it goes to repair now have the phone for two weeks and half its brand {word filter avoidance} new and it don't want to change My phone because I talk whit more than 15 minutes.
