So my wifes iPhone 5 likes to send me invites with incorrect times. She will set the appointment for say, 7am-8am West coast time. But when I receive the invite, it shows 10am-11am EST. Â

I have an iPhone 4. When I use iCal (which is now synched to my Macbook) which is housing my google calendar, I can't invite anyone to my events in iCal. I have to go to the google calendar website and schedule it from there. My wife has a 4S and she can do it right from iCal on a google calendar.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've noticed with the new S2 or 5.0 OS calendar, entries use the "default" calendar. Which is great, zero duplication, syncing is always accurate, etc, etc. But the "default" calendar does not have an associated email acct with it, so it doesn't allow you to "invite" anyone to the appointment. If you use one of your email accounts, you are then adding and additional calendar, then the games begin (problems). ??? Is there a way to continue using the default calendar and invite attendee's to meetings/appointments?

When my husband creates an appointment he just invitee's me and the appointment shows up on my calendar, however, when I invite my husband to a calendar appointment he gets an email with the subject line stating the appointment name but nothing else (no time or date, just the name) and no appointment shows up on his calendar.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have discovered that some of my text messages are not being sent or received. Every text shows that it sends and shows a time within a few seconds. I would say I am 90% working fine, but important texts are falling through the cracks.Text messages I send with more than 160 characters auto blend into one message natively. Recipients are only receiving part #2.They never have received the first part on dozens of tries. Always the case from home and work. I'm connected to wifi at home and work. Oddly enough, I was able to disconnect from wifi and was able to send both parts of sms messages 4 out of 5 times. When i connected back to wifi, still only the 2nd part of the sms.A few of the regular sms messages that I confirmed didn't go through were more than 100 characters, but less than 160. So far, every small or low character count message has worked.
Didn't receive a couple of texts that I was able to verify were 100+ character texts. eems to be a larger message problem, but every picture I have sent has successfully gone through.Installed Go SMS tonight. Still had the issue when sending multipart texts that only text #2 came through.I spent quite a bit of time on the phone with Sprint today. We did a battery pull and he did a phone refresh remotely. I tried a test text while he was on the phone. I sent a 2 parter to my wife and it was received. I thought the problem was fixed, but the very next 2 part text only showed the 2nd part of the message. I have not been able to get a 2 parter to go through since.

So the Appointments stayed in my home time zone, they just showed in the equivalent time period on the iPhone calendar.Â
When I returned home, my Calendar on my MacBook reverted to normal (ie, all appointments went to the correct, original time) but the iOS Calendar has somehow locked into the other time zone that I visited for a week or so. How can I get all the appointments on my iPhone to show correctly without changing or losing any of them.

With Calendar, when creating an event, it is possible to customise the time of the alarm. I like to have them all at 6am when I wake up, and that's easy done if I have my computer. But when creating an event fron the iPhone, you only have a few choices of time for an alarm, such as "1hour before the event" or "the day before", that doesn't really suit me.

On my iPhone I have, in my calendar, an appointment set everyday for the tablet I have to take at 8PM everyday.
But when I go to another time zone, like Paris where they are 1 hour ahead of me here in the UK, the appointment is still at 8PM, even though I know it should be at 9PM.

I checked iCal on my Mac and the dates are correct there. I checked iCloud and it's correct there. I've checked my iPad and iPhone are both off by a day. Could this go all the way back to Daylight Savings time change?
