when I change time zones my calendars change dates and times, why is this and how do I stop it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way that, when setting a time on a calendar item, that the time can be locked?Example:When travelling, the time of airline flights is set when at home city.Phone is set to Auto Time, to display the system time. I.e., when travelling to a different time zone, the local time is used by the phone.Problem: The time in all calendar items are adjusted to the time zone travelled-to, not the value orginally set. Therefore the time of an airline flight is advanced (or reduced), and does not reflect the time that the flight actually departs.. a problem. One work-around is to leave the phone time setting to home time, but then the phone can't be used in place of a watch. Is there a setting in the calendar function that ignores current phone time?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have began to implement the mobile version of the Sage Sales Logix application on Blackberry Bold devices and we are having an issue with calendar appointments being created on the BB inside this app are not holding the correct time when the client version of this application is accessed. We have tried to work with Sage support on this issue, but they think this is a setting issue on the actual device.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently traveled overseas and had all my calendar items show on my iPhone as in the new locations time (ie, they moved X hours so wrong, but consistent). So the Appointments stayed in my home time zone, they just showed in the equivalent time period on the iPhone calendar.Â
When I returned home, my Calendar on my MacBook reverted to normal (ie, all appointments went to the correct, original time) but the iOS Calendar has somehow locked into the other time zone that I visited for a week or so. How can I get all the appointments on my iPhone to show correctly without changing or losing any of them.

My iPhone 3GS is set to change time automatically with the Daylight Savings change. That worked as the phone time itself is correct, but the times for the different places in the built-in World Clock app are still off by an hour (they are on the old time). This is also true of my husband's iPhone 3G. Strangely, I have an iPod touch that adjusted both its system time and the World Clock times without difficulty.
I have tried syncing the phone, toggling on/off the update time automatically, and rebooting, but the time is still incorrect. If I try adding a new place, it will also have the wrong time.
There may also be an issue with other apps - the ESPN app had the start time of a game today off by an hour as well.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this?
Edit: To clarify, the times are wrong for US cities that do observe DST, such as New York, Chicago, etc.
When inputting a time for an appointment or an alarm, th time selection wheel doesnt show 24 hour time format anymore since updating to IOS 5.1. I have an iPhone 4 and the general time setting is on 24 hr time format.

After upgrade IOS 8.1.1 I have no service in my IPhone 5, lost WiFi connectivity from time to time and the battery is draining within hours. I tried everything that Apple support told me to do and still did not fix the problem.

I receive messages from people hours after they tell me they sent them but when I receive them it has the current time listed, as if it was just sent. It would be fantastic to know the msg was sent at 10am and now being 2:30pm, I can have a better reply. It's definitely with the phone, because I know a few of the people have the same service provider but different phones. When messages are received on my wifes phone, it shows when they were sent, not the current time. I've looked at my settings but do not see a way to change this, is there a way?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWith Calendar, when creating an event, it is possible to customise the time of the alarm. I like to have them all at 6am when I wake up, and that's easy done if I have my computer. But when creating an event fron the iPhone, you only have a few choices of time for an alarm, such as "1hour before the event" or "the day before", that doesn't really suit me.

On my iPhone I have, in my calendar, an appointment set everyday for the tablet I have to take at 8PM everyday.
But when I go to another time zone, like Paris where they are 1 hour ahead of me here in the UK, the appointment is still at 8PM, even though I know it should be at 9PM.

Does anyone know why iPhones do not automatically change it's he phones time when crossing over province borders etc? I have heard this from multiple people now and it's bugging the **** out of me. I have my iPhone settings to auto adjust time and it doesn't work or won't change the time until I restart my phone or disable then re enable auto time update. Is this a bug with operating system or is there a solution?

I have noticed that my calendar events aren't displaying correctly on my iPhone 4S. I'm not entirely sure how long it has been like this. I checked iCal on my Mac and the dates are correct there. I checked iCloud and it's correct there. I've checked my iPad and iPhone are both off by a day. Could this go all the way back to Daylight Savings time change?

View 8 Replies View RelatedHow can I make an all day event remind me the evening before. The only reminder options are 9:00 the day of (which is too late) or 9:00 the day before (which gives you a whole day to forget about it). Why can I not select when I want a reminder? I have tried both alert tab in the event itself, and the default alert setting under settings/mail, contacts, calendars/default alert times.
