I just bought a Nokia 822 and have questions on the Calendar feature. First, is there a way to set new Occurrence periods. Want to add a 'Two-day' and "Every Two-weeks' option. Second, is there a way to set an end date for a recurring event - i.e.. 'Every Day' ends on a certain date or time period.

Not a big deal but once you know it, it is annoying, just like the creaking back cover.I don't think this firmware update fix the heating issue, my phone heats up quickly even when browsing internet with Edge.

View 1 Replies View RelatedEach time I restart my phone, it loses the current date and time and set's it to some apparent random day. This last time it chose the 16th of May 2012.
I took delivery of it yesterday and it's been fully charged. I've set the Date+time to 'Set Automatically' to 'On'
When I reset my phone I stupidly put in the wrong date in the "date and time" setup. Had texted two of my contacts before I noticed this. Have now changed calendar date to correct date but in my conversations list these two contacts always default to the top. I thought when I passed the date which I had incorrectly put in first this would remedy the problem. However I have now passed this date and these two contacts still aways default to the top of my conversations list. Does anyone know how to sort this without me having to completely reset my phone from start again?

While I think it is a nice feature to have, I do hope we'll also get an actual Silent mode that doesn't require visiting Settings. I have also noted that switching to "set automatically" does not alter the time and date correctly. When I first got the phone it was set to Automatic. After the first time I noticed the incorrect time/date, I set it manually, but for some strange reason, it happened again: the date and time were incorrect.
I have set it manually again, and waiting for the problem to re-occur...
I've got a Nokia Lumia 800 and every two weeks, the time has dropped behind by about 7 minutes and I have to fix it. I've had it for just over a month and just set the time for the third time.This simply wont work as I use the phone for scheduling and appointments.Now there is meant to be the option for the time to be updated by the carrier automatically, I've been into shops and compared my phone to the new ones and mine, for some reason does not have the feature. I don't have the option to turn it on or off, I just get the ability to change date, time and timezone.

View 8 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else had issues with the Lumia 920 showing the wrong date and time? I entered both manually when I first set up the phone as the automatic setting did not work. After a couple days I noticed that the date had changed to 1st Sep 2012 and the time was a couple of hours out. I corrected but again a couple of days later the clock is a couple of hours slow and the date was 3 weeks out. I then changed the settings to "automatic" turned the phone off and on again and the date is a week behind and the time is 3 hours fast.

View 4 Replies View RelatedFor the last 2 months now my FB chat message feature hasn't worked in 3G/wi-fi.I have phoned my phone provider (Orange) and they say there is no fault at their end data wise. I have checked the settings through my Windows Live account that my Facebook account is sync'd/allowed to send messages via chat to my phone.I have checked my FB chat settings to see No settings have been changed disallowing FB chat through my phone. In fact this explains perfectly my problem, as one day FB chat worked perfectly, the next few days it worked intermittently, and then from then on it has stopped working completely. I cannot see any contacts, and my phone says"Cannot Connect to see who's online".

View 7 Replies View Relatedbasically what happened was she setup a new live account at the AT&T store on the phone, and accidently did a birthday of 10/16/2012 not 10/16/1980 so the phone automatically went into My Family mode and won't allow any apps to be downloaded. We've tried to log in to live.com and change the birthdate but it wont let you. We've called AT&T who then called Nokia, but nobody knows. Basically it's giving an error of "My Family setup needed - my family must be setup before you can buy this item. Ask your parent to setup My Family settings on windowsphone.com" when you download an app.
View 2 Replies View RelatedCant understand why the backup to PC of vital Lumia phone information such as contacts, calendar and messges can not be easily and quickly achieved as with the Nokia suite and N8. I believe it is synced automatically to Sky-drive but I cannot find evidence of this. I would like to have control of this data for easy retrieval and stored on my PC. Windows phone software on my PC is sub standard in comparison with Nokia Suite. It is clunky, contacts cannot be backed up, photos have no picture reference when transferred and the overall Windows Phone software on my PC is second rate in contrast to the Windows Phone 8 phone experience. Can anyone enlighten me on how I can easily copy my contacts to PC. No problem getting contacts into the phone. Just unclear on how to get a copy of them out.
View 3 Replies View RelatedRight from day 1 the display date of my E52 does not update and reflect correct the correct date. Got the phone replaced once still the same issue. Called the customer service and they say there is no such problem with E52. They asked me to go to the repair center...(isnt that ridiculous to ask a customer of a new phone to do so?). I went to the repair center with a hope that they will replace it for me but all in vain. They also gave me a ridiculous answer that Nokia does not have a replacement policy...and I was like so is it Nokia's policy to sell broken and faulty mobiles? I was utterly dejected. The electronic store where I bought also refuse to replace because they think there is a problem and no matter I get it changed it will recur. I still do not have a solution as all my ways of getting this problem resolved are exhausted. Anyone has a solution or came across this issue which can be solved without repairing?

The same problem occurs whether I have automatic time update on or off.Also once or twice a week it will download emails with the date 01/01/2000 instead of todays date. I can log into my emails via Outlook Express on my p.c and the date will be correct there.I have software version v20 installed, the same problems still occurred on the previous firmware as well.Any help greatfully received

It would be fabulous, if it would be possible either to set a different "later"-time (propose 10 Minute and give possibility to change to e.g. 2:00 or 24:00) or to give a possibility to EDIT the shown calender item to set a new reminding time or day.
I am not able to get emails from my rediff account on my new lumia 800.It gives me error code 800C0000 when synchronizing.All other email accounts are working just great. Rediff was working on N8 but not on Lumia.
