I have a blackberry torch with 7.1 Bundle 1149 (v7.1.0.342, Platform 5.1.0.276). I cannot seem to set the date format or language to English uk rather than english us. I have tried the o2 shop but they were unable to help.

i have the date settings set as 31/12/10, it has this setting on the widget and on the notification bar but when it locks the format goes to 12/31/10.This is on the android 2.1, which came on the phone, not upgraded and i have twice used the repair function through pc companion and it still doesn't seem right.Is this normal?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhat's happening is the date format on various apps on my phone are showing an incorrect format. The format it is showing is DD/MM/YYYY instead of MM/DD/YYYY. I've looked everywhere, I've posted on the google nexus 6 forums, and even talked to google tech support. I've also just done a factory reset and that didn't fix the issue. In the date time settings on the phone, there is no option to change that format. This is really bizarre.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought a 8520 last month and I am using the telephone with the italian language. By mistake I had cancelled some pre-installed apps like DocsToGo and I reinstalled them by ising Desktop Manager. At the same time I got the chance to cancel the languages I don't need. Since then I have problems with the date format: date format should be in the european standard (DD/MM) but it always appears in the US one (MM/DD). This happens only on the desktop, clock, and phone call list. Otherwise sms and calender are correct. I have 4 languages installed at the moment on the device (according to the language option list): Italian, English, English (UK), English (US) and German. With all those languages I have the problem with the date, only if I choose German it's correct. I have been advised to update the firmware, but unfortunately it didn't help.
I have also unistalled some third party programs but it also didn't help. Theme is the standard one and no new one has been installed. This is quite an annoying issue, even though it doesn't dramatically affect the usage of the phone. I did a backup before installing the DocsToGo apps.
I can't for the life of me figure out where they hid the option to set the clock widget to 12 hour time format....

My Phone language settings are set to English US, but with the recent Music App update, the program itself displays English, but all the Mixes are showing in Russian. This wasn't the case with earlier versions. Please make sure the app does not override the language setting with location based language information for those of us working/living in different countries.

The spacing is very large so that I am able to only see a few random bits/pieces of the message. It doesn't appear to be a problem with e-mails that are sent from my BB. My cell phone service is through AT&T. I am aware of no changes that would have caused this problem.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased a 8gb memory card for my torch and it worked for a few days then brought up a message saying the card has errors and needs to be repaired i would repair these errors and i formatted the card and it still carried on bringing up the same message I then purchased a 16gb memory card and the same message came up. I formatted the card , repaired all errors on my computer and off my phone. when i transfer all my media to the card and put it in the phone it says format card everytime i put it in i then format the card and re put everything on the memory card , "safely remove" it and put it back in my phone and it says format again?

Any one know how to set the format of these numbers to add a separator - dashes, periods, or spaces - to make the numbers easier to read and faster to identify? When I charged it and switched it on, my wallpaper had change and I thought weird but whatever. Anyway, I found the next day, when I tried to take a picture of my kids, that all my photos are gone and I can no longer take any pics coz it says that the memory is full, even though the media says 'o photos'. I am gutted, but have found the following message on my storage menu ' device memory cannot be read. try to repair or format'. I've tried to repair it but it fails, and I am holding on to the hope that my photos are still in there, so want to avoid formatting it until the last possible moment. I am desperate for the pictures, there are just too many of my kids there to have to lose.

In some emails with images that have hyperlink, I just see a link and images not displayed. All the images comes as an attachment in the email. My friend having another BB Torch is able to view emails as HTML. But he is with BES.
Is there any solution for my issue? I am not receiving any options in the email preference to enable HTML format for emails.
