Today I was given a T239 and I have been trying to get ringtones on here all day. The phone doesn't accept mp3 format and I was wondering what format do I have to put my ringtones in for the phone to accept them.

I was helped last night to move the converted files to my BB, when I go to test them as ringtones a message comes up "the ring tone is invalid". That occurred with both formats. I go into the profile & generalize then I look at my list of songs but when I click on the one I want to use it says 'unable to select object'. Also sometimes it does let me use one eventually (after i select it about 10 times) but then when my phone rings it's just the normal nokia ringing tone. Can anyone advise how to use songs as ringtones and how to keep that tone being used?

I've noticed there are some challenges with setting ringtones for text messages from my contacts. I still can't figure how to do this. Am I missing something? I'm trying to set up my alarms with the ringtones I used to use - and I have everything in folders on my SD card as shown below. However, the alarm doesn't seem to want to use these folders. If I select music I get a list of the 5,000 songs that I have in Google music which is of no use since that's in the cloud and I need alarm to function at all times.how to change the location for the alarm ringtones?

I just got my tour this week, and haven't been able to figure out how to just have vibration when I get emails without the ringtone or chime following after.And I'm talking about when the profile is not on Vibration. I just want the email notifications to be on vibrations when the profile is on active or loud or medium. I didn't have an issue with the Curve in doing this.What am I doing wrong?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI got a Samsung Forever (SGH-A886) and I would like to be able to put games on it that I have DLed onto my computer.problem is that rogers and there infinite wisdom have fixed it so that you cant do this. I transfer the game to the phone, fine but when I try to run it it tells me that its an "unsuported file format". Now I know this is because the phone has been locked so that you have to DL stuff directly to the phone but I don't have a data plan and would really like to be able to put these games and such onto my phone from my computer.

Rogers, of course, has locked it to accept only Rogers DRM ringtones, and the Sony DRM wrapper doesn't seem to work on this phone.My odd question is this: If she were to buy a ringtone from Rogers, is it possible to take the DRM header from the bought file and use it on a different MP3 file?Also, any other ideas are welcome. She desperately wants her Doctor Who ringtones back.
