I just got the blackberry style, and before I realized that you could create a custom profile setting for the ringtones, I messed with the NORMAL setting and changed it all around. Is there a way to change it back to default or can someone tell me what its supposed to be at so I can change it back to where its supposed be and then I'll create my own custom setting?

View 2 Replies View RelatedIn my Nokia E63, when I try to create a new Profile (an office profile, where I want the tones, volumes etc. to be customized), the profile creation page screen does not open.I do it this way. Menu > Tools > Profiles > Options > Create new.
I expect a create new profile screen to open, but nothing happens. 'Create new' option just exits the Options panel and does not open the create new profile screen.
I'm having trouble setting up a new email account. I am able to connect to the Internet using the browser, so it doesn't appear to be connectivity issue. Doing a Soft Reset and pulling the battery doesn't help.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue with custom alerts that are set with some people and the active profile setting. here's what's going on...i have custom ringers on a few family members and since some of the ringers are low in volume, i set the volume individually. today i had to go to a memorial service and i decided to make sure my phone was on silent so i don't have my phone going on in the middle of the service. i set my profile to silent, called myself using my dad's phone and what do i hear, his ringer! i did a battery pull...same thing. i tried to call myself using my dad's phone again, but this time using *67 and no ringtone, just showed that i had a call coming through. with no time on my hands before heading out the door, i just turned off my phone.
Now i found an alternative, but not quite a solution...i can have custom ringtones for people, but not change the volume and whatever profile is set will happen. is there a better way? did i receive a faulty device, although i think it's more a software issue.
After the OS upgrade to 50.0.005 the create new profile option seems not to be workin'is it only with me or anyone else has same prob?

So my question is, can I create a new profile which is offline, and also stops all alarms etc. Ideally I would like two offline profiles - one which is offline and quiet, one which is offline but still has audble alarms.

Just got this phone (new) and have been fairly happy. HOWEVER, I have one grief that I have yet to get resolved. Except for one of my contacts, I can not seem to set either mp3's or aac's as a custom ringtone for a contact. Though I have gone through the process multiple times, only my custom default ringtone plays when I receive a call.
I would appreciate any and all help that will assist me in getting this resolved. To say I am slightly frustrated would be an understatement.
there is a plug-in for custom ringtones per contact! it is in the Extras repository open xterm apt-get install per-contact-ringtones you will notice that it is integrated with the contacts manager.after you open a contact, tap the menu and you will now have an option "custom ring tone"

the torch clearly can detect when a connection is made to the audio jack - e.g., removing a headphone pauses the media player, and plugging one in pops up a headphone icon and changes the audio level.but I cannot figure out a way to create a profile (with custom alerts, vibration settings, etc) that takes advantage of this info. anyone know how to trigger a profile upon plugging the headset in.
