My Nokia Lumia 800 seems to only get data with WIFI, but when I put my SIM card in any other phone I am able to connect to the 3G network.My Nokia Lumia has an H beside the reception bars. I had data working perfectly fine on my previous phone though?ALSO, how do I change the clock to 12 hours? Right now it's on a 24 hour time system and I can't seem to find anywhere in the preference how to change it to 12 hours...
View 1 Repliesbasically what happened was she setup a new live account at the AT&T store on the phone, and accidently did a birthday of 10/16/2012 not 10/16/1980 so the phone automatically went into My Family mode and won't allow any apps to be downloaded. We've tried to log in to live.com and change the birthdate but it wont let you. We've called AT&T who then called Nokia, but nobody knows. Basically it's giving an error of "My Family setup needed - my family must be setup before you can buy this item. Ask your parent to setup My Family settings on windowsphone.com" when you download an app.

I took delivery of it yesterday and it's been fully charged. I've set the Date+time to 'Set Automatically' to 'On'
It's been over 14 Hours that my new Nokia Lumia 920 is hang. I could not understand the reason behind its malfunctioning as I was on a call and when I tried to hang up.It just choked and react nothing. When I wave my hand over the light sensor, phone lit up and shows me the same phone call screen with minutes and after few seconds it goes as if it is locked. I tried to take out the sim, tried turning it off..Used back switch 100 times but it did not reacted at all.If this is the way it is going to be...I would say Nokia is under water and struggling period will let them down to their certain end of corporation. I switched from iPhone and was very happy to purchase 920. Despite of other big issues I was holding back and was thinking to keep it as Microsoft will fix he bugs with new applications.

been trying to keep nokia lumia 900 charged up at all times...last night went to bed with little over 50% power in battery and in about 2 hours, battery was totally dead.. I try not to let battery go totally dead before putting on the charger.. what caused the battery to suddenly lose all the power it had in a couple of hours... I can't afford this battery to do this when traveling.. I need the phone.. and where I am .. I have no idea how to get a battery changed in this phone... since I cannot buy a new battery and install myself.. Don't know why Nokia made a phone that the consumer cannot change the battery in it by himself... this is not good... I can't have the battery reaching 50% power and then suddenly have it go dead in short time... I had hard time getting it to respond to the electricity charger this morning when I plugged it in... I need to make sure I have battery life when out of the country and I do the best I can to keep it charged up all the times...

I have also noted that switching to "set automatically" does not alter the time and date correctly. When I first got the phone it was set to Automatic. After the first time I noticed the incorrect time/date, I set it manually, but for some strange reason, it happened again: the date and time were incorrect.
I have set it manually again, and waiting for the problem to re-occur...
I've got a Nokia Lumia 800 and every two weeks, the time has dropped behind by about 7 minutes and I have to fix it. I've had it for just over a month and just set the time for the third time.This simply wont work as I use the phone for scheduling and appointments.Now there is meant to be the option for the time to be updated by the carrier automatically, I've been into shops and compared my phone to the new ones and mine, for some reason does not have the feature. I don't have the option to turn it on or off, I just get the ability to change date, time and timezone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just got my Lumia 800 and seems pretty fancy. But still one thing which really bothers me a lot. The battery life! I have update to WP7.5 on day 1. System information as below:
OS version 7.10.8107.79
Firmware version : 1600.2487.8107.12070
The thing is, I unplugged the charger at 9 in the morning and when it came to around 9 in the night. The battery is critical low. I just made few calls, text and no more than 10 mins twitter stuff and the battery is done? My iphone could even stand for 1 day with this usage. I tried everything, reset the fone. But seems not working.
Has anyone else had issues with the Lumia 920 showing the wrong date and time? I entered both manually when I first set up the phone as the automatic setting did not work. After a couple days I noticed that the date had changed to 1st Sep 2012 and the time was a couple of hours out. I corrected but again a couple of days later the clock is a couple of hours slow and the date was 3 weeks out. I then changed the settings to "automatic" turned the phone off and on again and the date is a week behind and the time is 3 hours fast.

View 4 Replies View RelatedRight from day 1 the display date of my E52 does not update and reflect correct the correct date. Got the phone replaced once still the same issue. Called the customer service and they say there is no such problem with E52. They asked me to go to the repair center...(isnt that ridiculous to ask a customer of a new phone to do so?). I went to the repair center with a hope that they will replace it for me but all in vain. They also gave me a ridiculous answer that Nokia does not have a replacement policy...and I was like so is it Nokia's policy to sell broken and faulty mobiles? I was utterly dejected. The electronic store where I bought also refuse to replace because they think there is a problem and no matter I get it changed it will recur. I still do not have a solution as all my ways of getting this problem resolved are exhausted. Anyone has a solution or came across this issue which can be solved without repairing?

The same problem occurs whether I have automatic time update on or off.Also once or twice a week it will download emails with the date 01/01/2000 instead of todays date. I can log into my emails via Outlook Express on my p.c and the date will be correct there.I have software version v20 installed, the same problems still occurred on the previous firmware as well.Any help greatfully received

My old E70 is best in that case.This fu... device hangs up always after date change to 1 year past. I do that to install application which has certificate expired .After reset (8 secs. power btn. press) situation is still persist - hangs on pulpit and no reaction for any button but power (8 sec. reset).

It is amazing that this can happen without any warning. This is definitely not the first time I'm loosing all my data. View 5 Replies View RelatedI cannot understand why a phones camera software does not allow the user to lower the resolution below the max resolution.The Lumia 710 only allows 5MP res. in 4:3 format. WHY?? And I cannot find an app that easily allows the res. to be lower than 5MP.Is there anything in the works, ie. camera software update that will allow for lower resolution pics? I use this feature for work and 1.3MP was sufficient for my needs, and when archiving my photos didn't take up 1+MB per pic on my hard drive.I may have to go back to my C7 belle.
