BB Bold 9650 :: Go To A Specific Date On Calendar To Set Event
Sep 10, 2010After one week, I think I got my Bold under control, but something still bothers me:I have my calendar set up to display my agenda when I open it. When I want to enter a new event, I open the menu, navigate to Go to date, click on it, the slider with day, month, date, year appears, I set to the date I want to go to and press the pad. It takes me NOT to the date I chose, but to the closest date with an event on it.
Is it because I have it set to display agenda? I"m I using a wong command sequence? Is this program dumb?

Aug 3, 2010Just noticed that when look at Calendar icon located inside a folder the date is 1 day behind. Today it shows the 2ed. When I click on the folder and the Calendar icon goes to full size it shows the 3rd and still the 2nd on the small view icon. At first I thought the in folder icon just showed a fixed number (like the weather app) but it changes each day and is always behind.

Jul 14, 2010I just updated the software on my Blackberry Tour and now my calendar is behaving as it did two software generics ago! Specifically, when I change and appointment to a future date and then save that appointment, the calendar moves to that future date! This is terrible if you are moving several items out to future dates! Previously, the changed entry would just disappear from the screen (moved to the new, future date) and I would remain on the day I was working on.Secondly, when I open a future day in calendar, the “All Day Events” do not show first (as they used to). Instead you have to scroll up to see if there are any of these type events.Does anyone know of a way to change these settings/defaults.

I seem to recall that it did default to 'off' in an earlier software version, whereas now it is set to 15min.

Aug 18, 2010I came across the following problems whilst trying to update an address in my favourites list:
*Editing the address does not change the position of the place - i.e. I now have an entry that shows all the correct info for one location, but is actually pointing somewhere completely different! I edited my entry from the Homescreen search (which seems to take you through to Location>landmarks.
*In Maps, I can't move a place to the right collection (organise collections) There is no scroll bar so I can only access the first few collections!!!
*Trying to get around this using Ovi Maps on PC fails too - After selecting the right collection to move it to, the message "cannot connect to remote server" comes up. There is no problem connecting to the server for any other functions, but for this one it is persistent.
I then went on to plan a route:
*Using Search in Maps does not include (or allow you to select) results from your own favourites or history!
*When adding a route point you don't have access to your collections (only a raw list of favourite places)
*After clicking "Start driving" in a route, you can no longer access favourite places or history at all!

Dec 2, 2014I sync my iPhone 5 to Outlook 2013 through iTunes. My calendar appointments come through OK but I always noticed that I cannot see the attendees/invitees for meetings that are booked in my Outlook calendar. I thought that was a limitation in the sync then I noticed one of my coworkers had the same meeting invite synced to their iPhone and they could see the names of the people included in the meeting. I asked them about it but they had no idea how they did it. Is there a setting in iTunes or the iPhone which controls this?

I use Hotmail email I think this started to fail when I upgraded to the new OS. When I create a new Calender appointment, it no longer shows up in my hotmail calender. If I invite attendees, all they get is a blank email, they no longer get a proper meeting request in their Outlook inbox.
However, if they send me a meeting invite, it is properly recognized on my blackberry.
As best I tried scouring the internet looking at various BB forums, I went into options and deleted my Hotmail email account on the phone. I set it up again and it does not fix the problem. As far as I can tell, my hotmail account is a now typical account that has pop3 access.
EDIT: I removed the Hotmail account and added a GMail account. The GMail account workes totally fine with meeting invites. Also, after the creation of the GMail account, there is now a second inbox icon on my BB home screen. This icon is an envelope like the original one but also has a graphic of the world over-layed on top of it that resembles the Browser icon.

Sep 11, 2014I can't add a new event to my calendar on iPhone. The plus sign is greyed out and even when I try it with Siri it says "Sorry. I can't do that right now". I did my due diligence and searched all over the forums and internet and I can't fix this. There was a listing in a forum where a lady had this same symptom but it looks like toggling iCloud worked for her. Not for me. I went into Settings>iCloud and turned off Calendar and then turned it back on. Still nothing. I even went to iCloud Backup and turned it on then back off and still nothing.

May 10, 2010I have just bought a Nokia 6700 Slide and I'm quite satisfied but I have a little problem with it :
I had a lot of Nokia and on each one, you had the possibility to put the date and hour as a screen saver. But with my Nokia 6700 Slide, I just don't find the way to configure it. On the stand-by mode the screen is just black when the keypad is locked.
I went back to the shop where i bought it, the guy tried to configure it and he couldn't so he decided to change the mobile phone by a new one because he said all the nokia mobile phones do it so it's a bug. But with the new one, it's the same problem, the seller configured the 6700 slide with the "date" screen saver and nothing except black screen. I went back home and install 2 another free screen saver : cClcok and Largetime and it is the same ! black screen !
So I called nokia hot line and they could'nt help me because this phone is too recent, they hadn't one at this moment to try...
