BB Torch :: Getting Error When Setting Up New Email Address?
May 16, 2011When I set up an new e-mail address I am getting the error "an error occurred during e-mail account validation" This is a new problem for me as I have 3 BBs on 3 carriers using e-mails off my domain - I even deleted an e-mail account on my BB that worked but when I reinstalled it using the same settings it had (when it worked) I get the above error?

I have run through 123 reg instructions several times, I have live chatted with them on two occassions and am getting nowhere. They say its everyone's fault but theirs. Anyone have a clue how to do this before I cancel the email address?

Sep 13, 2011I am having real and I mean real problems setting up my Mail.com email. Since their settings have changed I have not received any emails. I am on my third blackberry curve, Carphonewarehouse don't know what to do. It just wont set up. I get "update failed" I have tried to set up through T Mobile on my phone, no luck, says an error has occurred while setting up email...I have run out of ideas. Contract is ending in Nov and very tempted to go to another smartphone.

Mar 1, 2010I like my E72 but I have two problems that really annoy me.
1. In the past when ever I would write a new email I would get list of suggested email addresses in the "To" field. For example, if I would was to write the letter S I would get the email address of the people in my address book whose name starts with an S (sam, Sofia etc). for some reason this feature stopped working on my phone and I can't find how to make it work again. if I want to send an email I need to manually write the email address in the "To" field. The auto suggestion feature works perfectly on my wife's phone (an E72 with the same firmware - 22.007) but on my phone it won't suggest email addresses from my contacts.
2. Another problem is that my Gmail that is synced to the phone, through the Nokia Messenger server is locked on "hide emails older than 2 weeks". Now, I have hundreds of emails stored on my phone that dates to February 1st - the day I got the Phone.
Is there a way to delete these emails automatically, without deleting them on the Gmail account itself? It makes my phone really when going through the emails.

Dec 7, 2015Just got my 950 two days ago and unfortunately running into an issue with setting up a couple of email accounts.
I have six email addresses I track on the phone. Five of them are all on the same server but are different inboxes while the sixth is the Hotmail account from Microsoft.
Unfortunately two of the accounts on my personal server are not setting up. The phone tells me that it is synced by nothing is showing. I even submitted a test email from the phone that did show up on my desktop Outlook but does not show up on my phone.
I did a hard reset of the phone and still the exact same issue. I'm stumped as the other emails work just fine but for some reason these two inboxes are causing problems. They worked on my 920 and they work on Outlook desktop version. So what is the trick to get this working?

Dec 31, 2012I have Nokia Lumia 900 running Windows Mobile 7.5. The Nokia Drive running on it is 3.1.0.3206. It had been working great for me till 10 days back. Suddenly whenever I open the application and tap "Set destination", the app shuts down. The Nokia Drive then needs to be restarted.
It seems to have something to do with the destinations. The same behavior is also witnessed when I try to "Clear history" using Settings >> Clear history.In appears that the app on my cell phone does not like number of destinations stored, or a specific destination.

My Phone language settings are set to English US, but with the recent Music App update, the program itself displays English, but all the Mixes are showing in Russian. This wasn't the case with earlier versions. Please make sure the app does not override the language setting with location based language information for those of us working/living in different countries.

I am going in via the messaging section, i'm asked to define the mailbox which I do by using the email wizard, select yahoo mail and add my email address, click ok and every single time it just keeps coming back as "unable to connect to server. Try again later"

Nokia :: Virgin Email - Setting Up Messaging
Jan 9, 2010I am trying to set up my outbound mail on Nolia Messaging with my mail provider, Virgin. I have found that when I synch the mailbox, the previoulsy read mail disappears. Virgin have recommended that the email address is prefixed with Recent: e.g recent:username@virgin.net. The problem with this is that the Virgin SMTP server does not recognise the email address when Recent is added and the outbound emails are not sent. I have tried using the T-Mobile SMTP server settings using the Nokia messaging portall by adding smtp.t-email.co.uk but this is not accepted when adding it into the server details. Anybody got any ideas - I am going crazy and being bounced between Nokia, T-Mobile and Virgin.

The MAC address is currently set to 00:00:00:00:00:00.So each time I try to use my bluetooth (just turning the power on) I am given a warning that the Bluetooth MAC address is not set. Since I have no MAC for my Dare I cannot even do a simple OBEX push.
