When I set up an new e-mail address I am getting the error "an error occurred during e-mail account validation" This is a new problem for me as I have 3 BBs on 3 carriers using e-mails off my domain - I even deleted an e-mail account on my BB that worked but when I reinstalled it using the same settings it had (when it worked) I get the above error?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to set up an email address from 123reg on my iphone. I can see my emails but I can't send any. I get the message The connection to the outgoing server failed. I have run through 123 reg instructions several times, I have live chatted with them on two occassions and am getting nowhere. They say its everyone's fault but theirs. Anyone have a clue how to do this before I cancel the email address?

I am having real and I mean real problems setting up my Mail.com email. Since their settings have changed I have not received any emails. I am on my third blackberry curve, Carphonewarehouse don't know what to do. It just wont set up. I get "update failed" I have tried to set up through T Mobile on my phone, no luck, says an error has occurred while setting up email...I have run out of ideas. Contract is ending in Nov and very tempted to go to another smartphone.

I have successfully set up my AOL email address so I am receiving AOL emails on the Blackberry. I also have my own domain name for use on my PC. When I type in my Gmail email address it works fine. Never had this problem with my S3. Is it because I am logged into my Google acct on my phone and if so how do i turn that off?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had my work emails on my Blackberry for the last few months. Yesterday it asked me validate my account. I re-entered my password, but it said it couldn't connect, password/details were incorrect.
I have deleted the account, and tried to add it back in - but still comes with the same error. I can access Outlook Web Access on my laptop, so the connection details are definitely correct, but it wont let me link to my phone any more?
Not sure if this is linked to the problems this week, and therefore may work once everything is back to normal, or if there is another error?
When I try to setup and email account for our company on BIS I get Email Address Domain cannot be found. The domain is arsnet.com I have other users who use pop3/imap with outlook with no problems. Does anyone know what the BIS looks for to validate a domain. Does it need some special DNS entry or something.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI cant seem to remove the AT&T Address Book, and after hrs on the phone with AT&T and RIM seems no one knows how to?! I am pretty proficient with tinkering with Blackberry's but I don't see anywhere in the OS a way to revert the contact list to default and remove the AT&T Address Book completely from the phone. This is really screwing up my back ups and contact list and I would appreciate some input from the true BB knowledge base on the web!
When I try to synchronise address book and tranfer contacts from mobile to desktop , it does not synchronise. stops at contact 881 and says Error encountered. Error code - 0x80043ac9. Check documentation.

Here is my problem:
Sometimes, but not everytime, when I try to REPLY to an email I receive an error message which says that the email contains an invalid email address. I have scrolled through all the email addresses contained in the reply and can confirm that they are in fact valid email addresses.
Things I have tried:
Battery pull
Renaming my own contact name
Eliminating custom email "aliases"
How do I get past the "Enterprise Activation" in your e-mail set up to set up my personal e-mail account. I don't have a work account. It does not give me the choice to go into "Internet mail accounts" as the e-mail account tutorial states. And when I try to enter my yahoo account for the "Enterpricse Activation" thinking that maybe if I enter that info and it will take me to a screen to I can ge to the "Internet mail accounts" log in...it doesn't work.

I do not have a data plan.I have a friend that sends me emails from his PC to my CellNumber@txt.att.net and I received them as TEXT MESSAGES. I then reply to that same TEXT MESSAGE and he receives it in his email on his PC.But when I try to send (not just reply) a new TEXT MESSAGE to his EMAIL address, it fails. I get a little red clock for a while, then nothing.I have spoke to AT&T and they say it should work.My friend is also on AT&T, and he too does not have a data plan, and he sends TEXTS to his EMAIL address all the time without challenge. He does not have a Blackberry.
