View 6 RepliesI'm trying to set up my personal email on the 9700, but it seems that i have only one option, Blackberry Enterprise Server option. Is that suppose to be that way? I don't seem to have the " I want to create or add an email address" option.
Im using a Bold 9700, v5.0.0.442(Platforms 5.1.0.121)
Carrier: M1(Singapore)
I am trying to configure a personal email address on my blackberry curve 8520 but it only gives me the option on the Email Set-up - i want to use a work email account with a Blackberry Enterprise Server and not the option ' i want to create or add an email address. I have currently got an ASDA SIM Card. Is there a way of setting up an e-mail address on this phone?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI want to setup email connection. On this 9360 I do not have any Connection Assistant so I use "setup" mode and "mail accounts" options. Usually (as on my previous Curve 8520) I used to have two options when entering there :
- Use my own email address (personal address) or create a new one
- Use my Enterprise email address
But when I launch Email setup on my curve 9360, I have only the Enterprise option so that I Cannot setup email! My 9360 runs under OS 7.
I am try to add my gmaill account to my Torch 9800 but keep getting a message "Invalid email address or password. Verify your email address and password. If error persists, contact gmail.com."

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have got myself a blackberry and have been told by t-mobile UK that I am on a BIS account plan. I have set up my gmail email and emails come through nearly instantly. With my work emails I am not getting them instantly. Work does have a BES server and can give me a password to access their server but T-Mobile are using my webmail URL to connect me to the emails.
1) is this correct
2) Can we get rid of the time lag/delay in receiving emails from my work email address so it is more instant?
I am holding my new 9810 in my hands but cannot activate emails. I am connected to my SP, I have a data plan,I am up to date on payment yet, I do not have the option to connect to a personal email only an enterprise account.Connecting to an SP should not be the only option as through the wireless I should be able to get emails as well so I do not accept a previous reply that it is down to the SP provider.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am quite new to BB even if I used a Curve 2 years ago before switching to Iphone. I purchased an unlocked Torch 9800 from Vodacom South Africa and now use it with a ORANGE MAURITIUS sim card. I am registered with the network on a BIS plan (I can see the BB logo on my home screen- and already received registration message from the network). I am also registered on the internet and have already confirgured my emails on internet) .But have a few problems:
1. It seems my phone does not accept some of the service books sent by my provider, specially the email and browser ones. They told me i would not be able to browse internet till they upgrade their platform (or something like that) but would be able to receive emails- Which is the most important thing for me.
2. In the email set up screen I can only see the enterprise activation option. My enterprise does not use any exchange server and I want to setup my emails [url]....
I just bought a new Torch and am unable to set up personal email (internet). I have read the postings and have doen the follwoing but to no avail:
1. Re-installed the DM
2. Reset handset
3. Updated and downgraded the softwareon the handset
4. Changed SIM Cards
5. Security wipe of email and contacts.
Unit works fine but I cannot set up my email. I do not have an enterprise server at my work so I do not need to activate it but this is the only option I ever get when trying to set up emails.
I am having trouble deleting the icon for my personal email account from my (work) Blackberry Torch 9800.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Torch 9800 and my OS is V6.0.0.723. My carrier is AT&T.I am having issues trying to send a TEXT MESSAGE to an EMAIL address. I do not have a data plan.I have a friend that sends me emails from his PC to my CellNumber@txt.att.net and I received them as TEXT MESSAGES. I then reply to that same TEXT MESSAGE and he receives it in his email on his PC.But when I try to send (not just reply) a new TEXT MESSAGE to his EMAIL address, it fails. I get a little red clock for a while, then nothing.I have spoke to AT&T and they say it should work.My friend is also on AT&T, and he too does not have a data plan, and he sends TEXTS to his EMAIL address all the time without challenge. He does not have a Blackberry.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy BB ID for my Torch has an email address that is missing a digit. When I reached the maximum login attempts, I tried resetting the password but the BB ID for this device is missing a '1', thus when it sends the reset email, it's sending it to an email that isn't mine. I reset my password for the BB ID I thought was for this device, which includes the '1', but when I try using that BB ID on this phone, it says something like "use the BB ID associated with this device".

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have 2 contacts lists on my blackberry, one under desktop and the other under my email address. When I sync to outlook using the desktop manager it only syncs the contacts on my email contact list and not the desktop. How I get it to sync both contact lists?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI haven't had any problems with my blackberry torch when I first got it having set up all my email accounts fine. Now however, I received a message asking my to verify my email address, so in setup, email accounts, there is a list of my accounts. When I type in the password and type verify - I get a message "sorry, unable to continue your session."
Looking online, I've read that I need to register my phone with 02 my service provider. So, when I go to the correct page and enter my pin and IMEI for my phone I receive another message "Your account is not accessible via the HTML browser..." Again, looking online this is due to my phone automatically registering.
I have seen that you can change this in the same email account option where you add emails, but, when I click on the email account option like mentioned before, it presents me with a list on my emails to verify but no other options. I don't know what I need to do now to start my emails coming through again.
