I switched BlackBerries with someone, and did a security sweep. Now when I try to use setup wizard for my email accounts it asks me to select what type of email account I'd like to set up, then when I click it, it returns to the setup home page.
View 2 RepliesI have a blackberry torch. it has recently been replaced on the insurance, but now i can not set up my e mail accounts or connect to blackberry net (facebook, twitter). When i try to set my e mails up it asks me for the enterprise activation password. I have tried countless times with vodafone to rectify this. They sent me a link to activate my e mail accounts, but they are still associated with my old blackberry pin number. Vodafone have now told me to contact the manufacturers to change the security access to my new pin number, as my details have not updated like they should have done.I can not find any numbers to contact these though. I am getting increasingly frustrated with this as i am paying for a service i can not use, and they cant rectify.

View 5 Replies View RelatedHow do I get past the "Enterprise Activation" in your e-mail set up to set up my personal e-mail account. I don't have a work account. It does not give me the choice to go into "Internet mail accounts" as the e-mail account tutorial states. And when I try to enter my yahoo account for the "Enterpricse Activation" thinking that maybe if I enter that info and it will take me to a screen to I can ge to the "Internet mail accounts" log in...it doesn't work.

E-mail: I have 4 e-mail accounts.When I hit compose, it defaults to one I'd rather not use.I can hit the drop down key & choose one of the other 3, but I'd rather have it default to the one I use most.I had no problems w/ this in the Curve.There was a place to set the default mail.Any ideas?

Whenever I try to unlock my mobile, I am asked to press and sweep to unlock my phone followed by the draw pattern (which i have enabled in the location and security section) to unlock the mobile completely. Now I don't want the Press and Sweep option to unlock my mobile. I just want the draw pattern to unlock the mobile. Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to disable that Press and Sweep to unlock option in the mini pro or any app to disable it?? I tried the No Lock App but that is disabling the draw pattern to unlock as well.

I have also foun a problem with my BBM, I am able to send messages, but no one can send any to me. This problem has also come about after the security wipe.
I have a torch 9810 that i've been trying to view my Q-See cameras and since this version has version 7 ,supposedly according to Q-See teckniciansthere are no phone apps that will work with this phone.My old blackberry Torch 9800 had an app called DMSS which worked flawlessly, but will not work with this phone.

All of my Contacts were permanently lost and I had to set up my phone from scratch again - out of box. I'm guessing it's because he tried to guess my password again. The last time he tried to guess my password about 6 months ago, the phone did not Wipe itself out. Why it would wipe itself out is totally ridiculous. If a would-be thief actually somehow guessed my password, he deserves to have my Contacts, as I choose a password that cannot be guessed. It's up to the user how secure they want their phone by choosing a password of a certain level. It's not up to RIM to choose DEFCON 1 as soon as someone exceeds the number of retries set. It makes me want to get rid of my Blackberry altogether and get a phone that has a more reasonable security measures sequence of events. At the very least, there should be some kind of warning on the screen upon enabling the 'Password Lock' feature that states, 'the phone will be wiped if the number of retries is exceeded, it is highly recommended to Backup your Data using the Blackberry Manager PC software, in order to allow your phone to be quickly configured back to the state of when you backed it up, in the event a security wipe is activated'. I learned later that this was in the manual, but who actually reads the manual? I don't even know where my manual is. If I had known this, I would have most definitely backed it up. I think that since I'm basically starting from scratch, I may as well get another phone, but not one that has this ridiculous feature like Blackberry's.

I have checked my security updates and it's all up to date. Is this a problem on my end or is it the how the exchange is set up to screw over android users at work? I have checked for a notification while doing it by scrolling down from the top and nothing is there.
