i performed a security swipe after backup, then i restored my Blackbery Bold 9700 however i am not able to activate my emails even after i type the password for email activation.

I tried putting face unlock and PIN but after few minutes the phone goes back to swipe to unlock. I don't recall installing any new apps in past few weeks nor installing any phone updates except for app updates for already installed apps

Please note format and reinstall is not an option since the restored data does not work. Awaiting a quick solution.
View 19 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Droid Turbo. I have never locked the phone. I downloaded ANDROID PAY app last night. It required a screen lock to secure credit card. I agreed and set up a pattern screen lock. I got tired of unlocking phone every time. I went to disable the screen lock and I am NOT ABLE to do that. The security settings for NONE and SWIPE have been grayed out and are no longer an option. I have removed ANDROID PAY and still have issue.

I have also foun a problem with my BBM, I am able to send messages, but no one can send any to me. This problem has also come about after the security wipe.

At the Email Account Activation Screen, I am prompted to typen in the passwords for each of my email accounts. When I do this, I get the message "Sorry, unable to continue your session. Please log in again". I have verified that the passwords are correct. Not sure what to do next.

Here, I was given an AT&T number, permanent number from a family plan, and I wanted to set up an email account. However, when I got to the Setup > Email Accounts, I was only given two email options, both of them were supposed to be the email accounts of the previous user of my permanent number right now. I was confused since I cannot add nor erase the email accounts which are not mine, and when I went to to blackberry site to activate my blackberry email accounts online, the site just keep on posting error messages.. 1. Perform a complete back up using Blackberry Desktop Software.
2. Perform security wipe manually on the phone via Options > Security > Security Wipe.
3. After wiped, I using Blackberry Desktop Software to restore my backed up data.
4. Starting from now, i can't send/receive emails.
I have try go to Setup > Email Accounts > click into Internet Mail Account, but it bound back to the Setup page. Then i try Message icon > Options > Email Account Management, it prompt up "Unable to open email setup application. Contact your wireless service provider" message. May I khow what happen to my blackberry?

I've searched every forums and search engine for this, but cannont pin point my exact problem...I bought a 9780 yesterday, everything was fine, i set up my emails etc... everything worked.THEN... i stupidly security waped the phone this when things changed.Once the phone came back on i re-configured my email accounts, but now when i go onto my emails i see no inbox folder or emails what was there previouslyALTHOUGH i can send and recieve emails, but these come in list format...Ive made sure and uncheak the hide folder and sent numerous service book requests (these come through...)

When I try moving my old email account it says to put my email password in. I put the right password in and when I press activate it says 'Sorry, unable to continue your session. I have an unlocked BB Torch which I've successfully used for international travel all summer, just buying prepaid SIM cards in different countries.I returned yesterday to the US and put my AT&T SIM card back in the phone. Everything is working (calls, texts, browser, BBM, Facebook, etc.) - EXCEPT email. Nothing has pushed to the BB since I put the card back in.
I went to Setup -> Email Accounts -> Email Account Activation and entered the passwords for my two accounts (personal gmail and work Google Apps) but keep getting "Sorry, unable to continue your session.
Everytime I try to activate my email address to my Blackberry 9800, i get the same message - "unable to continue your session. Please log in again."
