Here, I was given an AT&T number, permanent number from a family plan, and I wanted to set up an email account. However, when I got to the Setup > Email Accounts, I was only given two email options, both of them were supposed to be the email accounts of the previous user of my permanent number right now. I was confused since I cannot add nor erase the email accounts which are not mine, and when I went to to blackberry site to activate my blackberry email accounts online, the site just keep on posting error messages.. I logged on to the AT&T site and found nothing that can change the email account setup for my blackberry.

Mar 17, 2012My Bold 9780 got the white screen of death. I have sent it off to get fixed, but while that is happening I have switched back to my old Bold 9700. When I try moving my old email account it says to put my email password in. I put the right password in and when I press activate it says 'Sorry, unable to continue your session. Please log in again.' I have tried logging in again multiple times but it still doesn't work, what shall I do???

Apr 19, 2010Got my BB curve 8025 at the weekend and have encounted afew things i didnt understand serched the net and found this site which as been a god send! I'm trying to set up email but atm its only giving me the option for setting up work email account with a BB enterprise server - I just want to set up a normal email account using my normal hotmail account but i cant get any further along as it asks for my enterprise activation password - which i obviously dont have?
Also - a few friend have gien me their pin so i can add them on BBM, i type the pin and it says contact pending but the person/s im trying to add get no notification that i'm trying to add them - we try it the other way with me giving them my pin and get the same result WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

Apr 9, 2012My wife has a Curve 9300 and was getting app error 603 with the white screen. I tried to fix the problem by installing the latest updates including the newest OS 6.0.0.666. This seems to have solved the app error but now I can't set up our email account!
Originally, under set up, the email icon was there but when highlighted and selected nothing happened. I tried restoring the device and now my email account appears but does not work and when I went back to the set up there is no icon for email accounts.

BB Curve 8300 :: To Add New Email Account?
Jan 7, 2010I want to add a new email-acount to my Blackberry 8310. Following the instructions I did it with the installation wizard. I found the option "installing email". Pressing these, I only can choose the options:
1. 'I want to install an account with the BB Enterprise Server' and
2. 'I want to quit with installing email'.The option 'I want to create or add a new account' doesn't appear. Does anyone know how to resolve this and how I could add a new email account?

I'm still on the Setup main page and nothing has happened. Sometimes, it will take me to the next page, with the two options: internet mail account or enterprise account. Click on internet mail account. It does nothing. Or takes me back to the main Setup page.

BB Curve :: Cannot Setup New Email Account
Sep 6, 2011I am a consultant and have a client that has a BB Curve. He has been using a certain provider inet for his email. He has now changed to a different provider (for technical reasons). I have tried to setup his new email account for the new provider - I also use a BB curves and have performed this operation for over 50 of my clients. However in this scenario, the Curve keeps asking for his account id and password. We have tried to enter it and it says that the Username cannot be blank. If we exit and re-enter the setup tool, and then enter the same info again, it says that the username and/or password is incorrect. His credentials have never - ever changed.
We cannot get his password (or acct info) sent to him by BB (RIM), because he no longer has the email address of record. Of course I tried entering a different email address to send it to, but of course it doesn't get to his phone as there is no eamil address setup (except his old one). The provider here in town (TELUS) has been quite useless in helping and have been quite specific that we need to talk to RIM, well of course this seems to be the only avenue available.Can someone direct us to the appropriate area or resource in order to proceed with setting up his new email account.
