Jun 21, 2010I am trying to set up a 2nd email address on my Curve 8520. I currently have 1 gmail set up. I had a 2nd awhile back, but deleted it when I didn't need it any longer. Now I have another that I need to set up, but every time I go to the email setup wizard, I get this error message:The site cannot be accessed in this manner. Aug 27, 2012Until a couple of days ago my blackberry message tone used to beep twice when a new message was received, and the ringtone would continue ringing until answered/gone to VM. Now it will only beep/ring once. (My daughter was playing about with phone so not sure if she has managed to change a setting). How do I amend the number of time phone beeps/rings?

Sep 17, 2011How do I get past the "Enterprise Activation" in your e-mail set up to set up my personal e-mail account. I don't have a work account. It does not give me the choice to go into "Internet mail accounts" as the e-mail account tutorial states. And when I try to enter my yahoo account for the "Enterpricse Activation" thinking that maybe if I enter that info and it will take me to a screen to I can ge to the "Internet mail accounts" log in...it doesn't work.

May 16, 2011When I set up an new e-mail address I am getting the error "an error occurred during e-mail account validation" This is a new problem for me as I have 3 BBs on 3 carriers using e-mails off my domain - I even deleted an e-mail account on my BB that worked but when I reinstalled it using the same settings it had (when it worked) I get the above error?

E-mail: I have 4 e-mail accounts.When I hit compose, it defaults to one I'd rather not use.I can hit the drop down key & choose one of the other 3, but I'd rather have it default to the one I use most.I had no problems w/ this in the Curve.There was a place to set the default mail.Any ideas?

Dec 19, 2011I am using BB9860 (OS7). After couple of days proper operation, now always i am getting 1 message as unread in email.
Even i have opened individually all the mails inthe inbox and marked as Read. But still showing 1 message as unread. If new 5 messages comes to the inbox then it shows as 6 message as unread. After reading 5 messages the alter goes back to 1 message as unread. how to clear this message.

Jul 4, 2011I had my BB Torch 9800 for few month. Previously used to work fine, all my emails used to show up in message folder. But these days when I receive emails my bb flashes red and it shows on top of the screen emails icon. But when I open my messages folder it shows empty folder without any emails, even though I can see the email icon showing there is emails awaiting. I do aware of this option that, if I press bb menu and then press show all, my email address with my name will show up. With this way I can view received emails. But I don't want to use this option, as I prefer all my emails goes to message folder, that way I can have more space to download other apps.
Note: if i reboot my device all emails shows up in message folder! I don't want to reboot my device everytime I face this problem.

Aug 11, 2010I have an imap email. This happily syncs with ipod, Nokia, Outlook, Palm, etc.When I go into the email app it asks for my email address and password which I fill in. On the next screen it asks for connection settings which I fill in. Pressing continue then brings up the message "Server not found. Check server addresses or edit email settings for manual setup."
I know the server can be found as everything else is happily syncing my email apart from the X10 mini pro. The issue may be that I haven't been able to set up the security settings (I need to log in to my outgoing mail server) but I can't find any other email settings other than just the options of typing in email, passowrd, selecting imap/pop and putting in server names.Laughably it seems the SE page on email doesn't even bother covering the setup.
RIM :: Setting Up Email Folders On BB?
Sep 6, 2011I recently went through and organized my hotmail account. So if an email comes in from a certain email address it goes into a certain folder automatically instead of the regular inbox. Because of this I now no longer get those emails to my BB. I only get emails that still go to the general inbox.[URL].. and have attempted to set it up but it does not work, it says the only folders I have are inbox and spam, when in reality I have at least 10 other folders. I have tried to use the BB desktop manager thing but I get stuck at step 1 as I cannot find email settings anywhere in the program.
