I cannot figure out what happened. My daughter got a hold of my phone and she made my email and text messaging screen small like the bottom bar has been moved up to almost the top of the screen.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Torch 9800 has developed a weird problem with the text icon on the home screen. When I tap on it, my desktop messages open instead?it used to work fine when I first got the phone. The only way I can write a text is to select a contact from the contacts list and then select to send that person a text message. This all works but is a pain. I'm sure this is just finger trouble and a setting has been changed somewhere but where.

When I receive a new message (sms or mms) from a specific contact, the message shows in my text message folder (along with others I've received and am able to open and see), but when I open it to read the full message, it just shows the grey screen and all previous messages also doesn't show.I've deleted the entire conversation and would be able to read 1 or 2 new messages afterwards and then at some point when I receive or send a new message, everything will dissappear again.I've removed the battery, marked all as unopened, changed options settings such as combine sequintial, autoscale images, leave messages on sim, etc. but nothing works.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I get a new text or email if I unlock my phone and touch the email or message app and read or delete it, it still shows the notification in the upper left. If I then lock my phone and unlock it again it still shows the notification on the lock screen. I have gone and cleared the cache and data from the message app and restarted. The only way it goes away is if I swipe it away on the lock screen or select it from the lock screen and view/delete after it opens.

Even though I have deleted the text message and I've tried everything to try and get it to go away. Today I have a Blackberry Messenger Message that won't delete as well. Does anyone else have this problem and figure out a way to refresh and get ride of it? I've tried turning the device on and off a few times but doesn't fix the issue.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhenever I receive a text message from a sender like American Airlines where their name/number is a random set of numbers, it will not remove itself from the home page list even if I delete it. If I select it after I have deleted it, it's just a blank message. Any ideas as to how to resolve this? The only thing that has worked for me so far is to reset the phone. I don't want to have to do that each time a message of this type comes in to my inbox.

View 14 Replies View RelatedAfter only a couple of days with my torch and not having modified it all, all of a sudden when I click on the TEXT message icon, it just shows my regular inbox.It used to show only SMS messages and was really cool. Now it shows emails and all!
I dont see anywhere to change this back to the original behavior. I did a hard reset with no luck.So far I love my phone even with the minor annoyances like it hangs for a few seconds after unlocking it everytime, fine I can live with that. But I really want to fix this text message thing

Issue:When I recieve a text message instead of going to the latest message when i tap the txt icon in the notification area or on the icon on the screen it dumps me to the middle of the message where i have to scoll everytime to the bottom.. and since some messages are very LONG in thread, they take forever to have to scroll to the bottom.Torch 9800, Carrier:BELL, Software 6.0.0.695 (6.0.0.246).
It comes up as Uncaught exception: java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException and I'm unable to text messages on my phone.
