I am using BB9860 (OS7). After couple of days proper operation, now always i am getting 1 message as unread in email.
Even i have opened individually all the mails inthe inbox and marked as Read. But still showing 1 message as unread. If new 5 messages comes to the inbox then it shows as 6 message as unread. After reading 5 messages the alter goes back to 1 message as unread. how to clear this message.
I have about 5 email addresses setup on my iPhone. However, I only want the badge on the iPhone home screen to display the unread count for my primary email address (instead of adding up all the unread emails in all of my inboxes).

The icon just indicates there is an unread message in my inbox..I also tried browsing the messages in my inbox opening them one by one but still the icon is still there. please help me.

I have read all my messages and it always shows me one unread.I realize it's not a serious issue, but could somebody offer advice on how to fix this? Seems like the OS hiccuped somewhere. Batt pull does not help. Otherwise the phone works perfectly

Even though I have deleted the text message and I've tried everything to try and get it to go away. Today I have a Blackberry Messenger Message that won't delete as well. Does anyone else have this problem and figure out a way to refresh and get ride of it? I've tried turning the device on and off a few times but doesn't fix the issue.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI sent a text to my friend. They replied but it came as a seperate thread not as a reply to the one I had just sent. Usually I can scroll up and read all our texts in seperate boxes. I have the bb torch 9800. This is what I see: from the main screen click on test messages. It shows as a green bubble as if it is a draft message and 4 characters that I don't ever remember typing. But when I click on the message all I see is their reply message to me but can't see the 4 characters from the supposedly draft message that shows in the list of text messages. Also there is no box at the bottom to type my reply. If I go back to the list of text messages and click the bb button I can click reply but when I do once again all I see is their message but still no 4 characters of the draft message or text box for me to type in.

My blackberry is receiving the email of today and also the email of 2 months' ago (marked unread) . For example, it received new email of July 30 and automically load the old email of May 30 again to the blackberry. The loading of old mail happens everyday. The problem happens since my office PC was recovered the outlook data.

*Mark all prior unread.
*Search saved
*Multiple battery pulls
*etc etc etc
None of this is working. Anyone know of any other fixes?
For the past few days my blackberry has said i have an unread bbm message then yesterday it started to say I have 2. I`ve tried taking out the battery deleting all chats and messages on my phone and also deleting bbm all together and even when i did this it still said I had the unread messages. I have no group updates nor have I synced a blackberry messenger contact with an existing phonebook contact. The only thing I think it may be is someone I`ve deleted trying to contact be but I`ve removed all deleted contacts from my ignored list so why arn`t the chats showing up?
View 4 Replies View RelatedRandomly, my bold restarted by itself (hasn't done this once since I upgraded the OS 3 months ago). Ever since it restarted, it's had the unread message icon saying I have 4 unread messages. I went to every folder and marked all prior unopened and checked to makesure nothing was unread. The icon wouldn't go away, it even stayed with the read star. Overnight, I got 6 new emails, so it told me I had 10 unread messages. I deleted the 6 new ones, and the icon is still there with the read star saying I have 10 unread now
Any ideas? I pulled the battery already twice and nothing
Okay..I've tried everything: Soft reset, hard reset [including holding alt, del & right shift], battery pull,
hidden folders, mark prior opened, using the Backup & Restore off of DM to erase the SMS messages
resending the service books.
It's not on the messages, but the SMS & MMS Message tab. And it's not just one, it says 22. And it's really annoying. Any ideas?

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe unread message indicator for a mailbox does not always clear after reading all new messages in the inbox. I have multiple inboxes, sometime after reading or opening all messages; or "mark all messages open" the red asterisk is still displayed with the the mailbox icon. The unread message count is 0, i.e.. Not displayed. The only way I can clear the red asterisk is to change inbox settings and save. I usually de-select and re-select an option so i get he save changes dialog. This does not always happen but happens enough to be aggravating since i have 5 mailboxes and use the indicator to determine which one i need to open for new messages. I recently upgrades from a 9650 which did NOT have this behavior.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I upgraded to BB OS 5.0 I now have my message indicator default is 10 unread messages. I have gone into SMS, Email, missed calls and have asked to have all messages marked as prior read and it doesn't go away.
so if my day starts with 10 messages marked as unread and I get new ones thru the day it goes up and as I read these messages it goes down BUT never goes below 10.
If I have to reboot due to an app upgrade It may go up, not always but sometimes, I am now @ a steady 14 unread messages according to my message indicator. I really have NO unread messages
For those of you experiencing a problem with your messaging where it says u have unread messages when u dont there is a fix for this...after searching high and low and going through 5 hard-resets there is a solution finally....Msg me for details if the attachment doesn't work. Unzip the software and send it to ur cell via active sync.Find it using file explorer and run the program.

i went into my text messages- and highlighted them all i accidently clicked mark unopened. then pressed delete (as originally intended) now i have icon saying i have 47 unread sms msgs but of course everything is gone so i cant bloody get rid of anything!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm experiencing a weird glitch that no one (including tech support at Verizon) seems to be able to figure out. I have a gmail account set up on my Bold 9650 and everything works properly EXCEPT that I cannot get it to show me the message count of unread messages (which usually should show up in parenthesis when I scroll over the account envelope icon). It seems that this is an issue with the Bold 9650 in particular because I have gotten the gmail unread message count to work on other blackberry devices, but not my (or another friend's) Bold 9650.
