trying to set up my aol email on my phone. When trying to set it up it takes me to enterprise authentication and does not give me any other options and obviously does not recognise aol details.

setting up my email accounts at a new Bold 9790. Somehow I only get the enterprise account option on the email screen. There is no official BB dealer/service in Greece and my service provider is not to be trusted with help any longer! In the past few years I even have to buy my BBs from abroad. need to use it the email app on the phone ASAP?

On my work blackberry I was able to easily set up both my personal AOL and hotmail accounts but I am not being given the option with my new phone. Can anyone help please, I'm getting very frustrated with not being able to find a blackberry technical support service or helpline!

Whenever I get to the setup Internet Mail Account menu, it just would not respond or go any further. Only Enterprise Account menu would response which I am not interested in.

View 4 Replies View RelatedToday in the office we set up a microsoft exchange and OWA, nothing to big or fancy but we have a server etc. Now I logged into my BIS site, set up my email entering my own details and putting in our OWA details.. The email works fine, but it takes about 15 minutes for the emails to come through to the blackberry.. i thought that this was only with POP3 and if it ran off an exchange it would be near instant?

However, if I open my Yahoo emails on the Blackberry and select 'Compose email' it will automatically send my email from my 'Default email' which is my other email address. I can of course change the 'send from...' setting but I often forget which is annoying when the email has already gone. I have tried all ways to change the 'Default email' setting but I can't find out a way of doing this.

1- Whenever I go to the E-mail setup, it says "Checking For Updates"
2- Directs me to the Browser in order to download the update
3- Once I do the update, my phone just freezes and does not reboot after a long time. And even if it does reboot, the home page does not load I had to reinstall the OS several times and now I can't even set up any E-mail accounts because it just brings me back to the "Update".I need to be able to receive e-mails on my device.
I have recently purchased a used Bold 9000 and am trying to set up an email account.On the setup screen in the Setup Wizard there is only one option instead of the 2 I'm supposed to have. The only option listed is to set up a work email account with a Blackberry Enterprise Server and I want to set up a personal email account.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a question... and some have been partially answered by the "Similar threads feature" when creating this thread, + I have searched thru the FAQ, etc.. before creating this thread. And done some google searching, but I mainly run into enterprise account users posts, etc.. Mine are just MSN, and GMAIL.
I have multiple accounts that all forward to one GMail account. One of them is a @msn account which is setup to forward, but keep copy on server.
Right now I have my main GMail address setup in my blackberry. I also have the GMail App installed, but since email opened with it is not HTML, it's sort of worthless to me.
Anyway, I would like the ability to send to/reply to certain emails using the alternate account, that in all likelihood was sent to one of the alternate accounts.
How to go about adding the MSN account as a "SEND ONLY" account?
And also, how do I add the other GMail accounts that forward to my primary, so that they show up as an option to use to send FROM, but never receive from the account?
My Carrier is Sprint, but I don't think that makes much difference.
If I could get this setup, I would be very happy.
Is there a setting to adjust how often my email is checked? I sent myself an email from one account to my other Hotmail account which is setup on the BlackBerry, but it did not appear for a while.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have searched hi and low so i assume there is no way to set the default DIFFERENTLY for each email account i have (i have three). i know how to set the default for the entire device (options, device settings, advanced, default) but that sets the default for all three of my accounts the same, which forces we to use the pull down to change it. is there no way to have a different default for each account?

The message i get is "Invalid email address or password. Verify your email addres and password. If the error persists, contact hotmail.co.uk." to setup my email address i chose "othe"r although there are options for windows live, [URL] is not there.
The strange thing is my sister got the same phone and i set her phone up for her and her's weorked straight away and she too registered a hotmail.co.uk email address.

View 9 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone have issues using their Bold 9790 outside, in the open air, when there is a breeze/wind blowing? Or even in the car if the air vents are blowing, even slightly? Whenever I am outside, even if there is hardly any wind, I am unable to send any kind of messages or scroll through menus, as the 'cursor' keeps going back up to the very top of the phone. So if I am trying to send a message, it scrolls right back to the oldest message. I have gone into the settings and made the sensitivity as low as it will go, but it makes no difference.
View 3 Replies View Relatedsince i bought this phone in April, its always been giving me SOS mode except for when i orient the phone in a certain way, in certain spots of my room. Other that that, i can't go anywhere in the house, its just SOS. I bought the phone with WIND Mobile. Thinking it was WIND that had the problem, i unlocked the phone to try it with Fido. It's confirmed that it is NOT the wireless carrier that has the problem, its the actual phone itself.
I don't want to believe that I spent $400 to buy the phone and its nothing but an expensive paper weight.
I have had my 9790 for 3 months and about 2 weeks ago I updated the os to 7.1. After I did this I started to have this issue where it would start to reboot on its own, sometimes once a day, sometimes 5 or 6 times in a row and it would drain the battery. Also I noticed the battery level on the screen isn't reflective of what the battery level actually is, it would go from full to red in seconds. its really drive me crazy.
I would do a battery pull and it would be back to 80 or 85 percent. I bought a new genuine blackberry battery to see if that was the issue but still same problems. I wiped the device and re-installed the original os from desktop manager twice and the problem is still there, very frustrating, any one have the same issue and managed to fix it?
Three weeks ago I got my BB 9790 and I am very happy! Only thing is, it keeps rebooting (about 3 times a week) . I have changed phones 3 times now (within 8 days I get a new phone) but I have the same problem each time. Probably a software thing? Are there any others that have the same problem and maybe a solution?
