My contacts used to syncronize fine between my Bold 9900 and gmail. Now they don't syncronise at all. I have deleted the SYNC service book and had my carrier push the service book to me again. I have deleted and reconnected my gmail account. Plus rebooted my phone a least a half dozen times.
I was also curious about the frequency for gmail contacts to sync with the blackberry. Is this push based or does it happen every 2 or 6 hours.
When i launch the synchronisation, I get the following message: "Impossible de se connecter à Exchange server. Verifier l'accès au serveur ou saisissez un mot de passe valide".

Problem 2: Before, when I didin't get the Problem 1, I still could'nt synchro the calender properly because it was telling me to switch off the wireless connection, but the indication on how to desactivate it don't correspond to my BB menu!
I have bought BB Torch 9810 recently. And dowloaded latest version of BB Desktop software. I tried to synchronize the BB contact with Outlook 2007. However, it is taking 5 hours or more to do the same. And even after giving so much of time, it gives errors and only partial contacts are transferred to Outlook. (Previously I was using BB Torch and the sync was just taking 2-3 minutes).
View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday, I updated my terminal: Blackberry TORCH 9800 to version 6, ver. 2647.I thought it would be a minor update but I realized it was a major update of the whole system.n IMPORTANT PROBLEM OCCURRED: Outlook 2007 CALENDAR synchronization DID NOT INSTALLED therefore I cannot synchronize the terminal to OUTLOOK with Blackberry Desktop Software anymore. When I look into (Organiseur in French), it shows that Calendar did not install.BUT Yes, it still can synchronize ADDRESSES, TASKS and NOTES but not Calendar.
View 1 Replies View Relatedwhen I synchronise my laptop to my BB Torch 9800, which has been working okay (ish), I now get an error for a calendar entry that doesn't exist. It comes up during the process to state I should remove the entry and try again.
However, it is not listed in any of my calendars and was an old entry I removed a while back but for some reason still thinks its there.
I have one way sych from laptop to BB do not sure why it doesn't just overwrite what's there or not?
I have an AT&T Blackberry Torch 9800. I am using Blackberry Internet Service (BIS).I need to disable the AT&T Address Book contact synchronization feature from my device.Prior to the activation of the AT&T Address Book contact synchronization feature, I was successfully syncing my Google contacts with the Default address book on the device. Now that the AT&T Address Book has been activated, syncing with my Google contacts is no longer possible.I have not discovered how to disable the AT&T Address Book contact synchronization feature. The only option available is to "sync now" (with AT&T Address Book).
I have performed a Security Wipe on the device. It appears that it does not disable the AT&T Address Book contact synchronization feature, which reappears again. On the AT&T Blackberry Torch 9800, under Setup, there are different icons for features you want to set up. One of them is called AT&T Address Book. When you click on that icon, it begins the registration process for AT&T Address Book. You have the choice to Accept or Decline.Once accepted, all future contacts created on the device can only be listed on the AT&T Address Book contact list. It is no longer possible to create contacts in the Default address book on the device.
<Blackberry Knowledge Base reference: AT&T Address Book>KB24080 - Synchronization with the AT&T Address Book in BlackBerry 6 the AT&T Address Book provides the ability to synchronize contacts on the BlackBerry® smartphone to an online AT&T Address Book that can be accessed by visiting [URL]. After an account is created, contacts can be added, edited, and viewed using this online resource. The contacts are saved on the AT&T network, and can be easily recovered or restored in the event of an upgrade, damage, or loss of a BlackBerry smartphone. Below is a list of features advertised with the AT&T Address Book: Automatic Backup: Your contacts on a compatible AT&T mobile phone are backed up to your AT&T Address Book, and changes you make are automatically saved. Online Access: Conveniently access, manage, and text message your contacts from a computer. Note: Contacts stored within the AT&T Address Book on the BlackBerry smartphone will not synchronize via the BlackBerry® Desktop Software to a Personal Information Management (PIM) application on the computer (for example, Microsoft Outlook). The BlackBerry Desktop Software is designed to synchronize information between a PIM application and the BlackBerry smartphone using the smartphone's default contact list service. As the AT&T Address Book creates its own service that is not accessible for synchronization (as it cannot be set as the default service for synchronization), the BlackBerry Desktop Software continues to synchronize with the default service and not the AT&T Address Book.Users will notice that their AT&T Address Book data does not transfer to their PIM application on their computers, but that the computer information is stored in a separate service on the BlackBerry smartphone after synchronization. This is by design.
When I try to synchronise address book and tranfer contacts from mobile to desktop , it does not synchronise. stops at contact 881 and says Error encountered. Error code - 0x80043ac9. Check documentation.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased and have been happily using b torch 9800 since sometime early this year. It has always synced smoothly through h Outlook with my calendar, contacts, tasks and notes - but no longer. Several weeks ago I installed the new BlackBerry update. Now all I have is a phone and some nice photos and info about appointments I had weeks ago. I admit that I am technologically challenged, but "the tech guy" at work is stumped also. it appears to go through the motions of syncing (connecting to outlook, reviewing contacts, calendar, etc.)but when it announces completion nothing has updated on my bb. Tech guy tried to install the update but couldn't successfully revert to prior version. For now I'm back to writing down my appointments on paper and calling my office when I need the tel number for a recently new client , but that's already old. Apparently I'm not the only one with this bb created problem. I assume bb has a patch or will real soon

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy blackberry 9800 is no longer working with apps. It appears that all newly installed apps or upgraded apps (purchased or free) now give a 'verify error' on start up. I have re-installed the apps and even re-installed the OS to no avail.Online forums show many others with this issue but the only advice is upgrade to OS 7 which is not an option for the 9800 I own (a bit over a year old) some suggestion the app registry is full but no idea how to fix this.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a BB 9800, and I recently downloaded the latest 6.0 OS Bundle 2921. Since then, I cannot use the ear piece when making calls. The speaker/handset menu goes back and forth and there is no sound in the ear piece. I can no longer take calls in the car while I drive.

When I press the numlock key on the screen keypad (both SureType and Qwerty), it only stays in effect for a few numbers pressed, and then releases by itself. It used to work fine before this bundle update.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI think this subject has been talked about before, but I can't find anywhere that has a successful result to my "problem". My email has been working fine, then nothing. I've got an Aol account for my email but they are not getting sent to my BB Torch anymore. I get the message "Your device had a problem connecting to the server" when I try to access the email account in Setup. I've tried: Taking the battery out ... Waiting.... Taking the battery and sim card out... Waiting... Hitting my head against a brick wall (only joking, but that will happen soon if I don't get this fixed) Deleting the CMIME, for the email account I'm using, out of the service book? View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had the torch for about 2 weeks and initially didn't like it at all, I had a Curve for 2 years but dropped it once too often :-(. Anyway I am a big guy 6'2" 225 and I am still getting used to typing (hope i will), but the biggest issue I have is the "Lock" button for the phone. I usually keep the phone in my pocket and if you breath on the lock button too hard the phone unlocks. Is there an option for holding the lock button down for "X" seconds before the phone unlocks, I loved that you had to hit 2 keys to unlock the Curve. I really don't want to deal with a password, is that my only option?
i really only want it for text, email and talking to people, would I be better off with the new Curve 3G?
Just recently, my 9810 stopped leaving email on my server. I am using a POP 3 server through AT&T. I use Outlook on my laptop and want all my email aggregated there (I remove from server when I pull it there). I was under the impression that BB always left mail on the server and I cannot find a setting anywhere to make me beleive otherwise. Also, this is not mail that I have deleted on my handheld, it is still in BB inbox - just not popping into my desktop as it should if it were still on the server.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSuddenly I found I was no longer able to play music through any external speaker or headset on my BB Torch. No one seems to be able to solve problem. BB Replaced but same problem. Complete factory reset solves problem but as soon as anything is restored, problem returns. Interestingly, if I make a call the headset works fine. If I play music, go to menu and try to 'activate headset' I get new window with headset and red dot on it. Coupled with this problem I notice if I go to 'set-up' and select 'email accounts' it will not open. I have had to activate all my accounts via my laptop.
