After downloading the latest BB torch software o/s update, (6.0 Bundle 2391), the numlock feature doesn't work.
When I press the numlock key on the screen keypad (both SureType and Qwerty), it only stays in effect for a few numbers pressed, and then releases by itself. It used to work fine before this bundle update.
I have a BB 9800, and I recently downloaded the latest 6.0 OS Bundle 2921. Since then, I cannot use the ear piece when making calls. The speaker/handset menu goes back and forth and there is no sound in the ear piece. I can no longer take calls in the car while I drive.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought my new Torch 9850 in late February and started a new job in March. At my job there is seamless wifi across the entire campus. My blackberry would somehow "know" when I arrived at work each day and turn on the wifi and logon to my corporate network. I found this to be the most amazing feature ever! No longer did I have to worry about draining my battery because I forgot to turn off my wifi.Then I updated my OS to 7.1 from 7.0 and now this no longer happens and I don't know how to reactivate it. The good news is I am back on 7.0 due to a device switch. The bad news is I cannot figure out how to make this work again.
View 1 Replies View Relatedrecently my screen would take afew tries with the unlock button to actually unlock, now my screen has compeletely turned off, but all my buttons still light up and work, i can touch and use the screen (although not being able to see what i am doing, i have navigated my phone to play music etc from memory) there are no cracks or damage to my screen.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe touch functionality still works, however, the screen does not light up or becomes extremely distorted and fuzzy most of the time. I called Rogers support and they seemed to believe it could be a software problem - but are you serious? I think they were just blowing me off.Okay - basically about a month ago, my screen would become pixelated and distorted when i would slide my touch screen up to reveal the keyboard. This problem still exists today. Ic ould sometimes get rid of it by locking and unlocking the screen, but after a day or two that never worked, so I began to use the phone only by using the touch screen. However, for about a week now the screen does not light up at all anymore. I would press the lock button and the bottom four buttons would light up - I would press the lock button again and they would turn off, but no screen illumination. Maybe - MAYBE - once a day I can manage to illuminate the screen and use it. But for the most part, the screen stays unlit.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have had the torch for about 2 weeks and initially didn't like it at all, I had a Curve for 2 years but dropped it once too often :-(. Anyway I am a big guy 6'2" 225 and I am still getting used to typing (hope i will), but the biggest issue I have is the "Lock" button for the phone. I usually keep the phone in my pocket and if you breath on the lock button too hard the phone unlocks. Is there an option for holding the lock button down for "X" seconds before the phone unlocks, I loved that you had to hit 2 keys to unlock the Curve. I really don't want to deal with a password, is that my only option?
i really only want it for text,email and talking to people, would I be better off with the new Curve 3G?

It goes 1/2 way through and then I get the error message "Sync Error-Invalid record ID" "An error occured during an attempt to access a device database record.
I've all ready given up getting all of my palm addresses into this device, but now I may loose all of my contacts between my computer & phone I have...
Camera worked until a week ago. Now when I take a photo, I see it at the far left in the tray but when I click on view photos, it says no photos.I have reformatted and repaired both the media card and built in storage but the same thing still happens.

I had read about this issue and I decided not to worry about it and went on without those programs.Now..Today i no longer have app world? View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the Torch 9800 and I'm running Wndows XP with the most recent version of Desktop manager.Up until two weeks ago my phone and computer communicated beautifully, syncing, back-ups, file sharing, everything. But last week my computer and phone seemed to fail to see each other and now nothing is happening when I plug my phone in. The phone goes to the 'clock' screen as if it's plugged into a charger and doesn't display a connection issue on it's end, but the computer does not show that anything has been connected.So far I have:
1) Checked the USB connection to the comptuter
2) Tried different USB ports
3) Tried a different USB cable
4) Wiped and re-installed Desktop manager on my computer
I'm at a loss on how to get my computer and phone talking to each other again.
My Blackberry 9800 Torch will no longer switch from portrait to landscape view in any application when I turn the unit on its side. It is stuck in portrait view. Very frustrating! This happened once before but corrected itself. Is there a setting that can changed? My carrier, Bell Mobility, was of no assistance. Just told me to return the unit for repair which would take 6 - 8 weeks.

I've have a Bold 9000 for a long time and am used to dropping it into my belt case or pouch and having it turn off and go into in-holster mode. When I put the Torch in my 9000 cases it doesn't seem to do anything. Did RIM remove the magnet sensor and no longer have an in-holster mode? Or is the sensor in a different place and it won't work with my Bold cases? Am I missing something? I don't like having to click the lock button on the top before dropping into the case.

The emails and phone numbers in this list work fine for other models we have (9650,etc.) But users with new BB Torch 9800 can not click on the phone numbers or emails any more. Our provider is ATT. The OS I believe is 6.0.0.246.

Instead, the phone announces by voice either the person, if in the phone book, or the number. Ex. "Call from xxxx".Yet the sound settings are set for the ringtone. It's possible when the phone was unlocked in the pouch (wouldn't be the first time) something was set randomly. Who knows. In any event, I need the ringtone working.

I bought my phone in May 2011, and for the very first time was able to sync my phone contacts with my facebook contacts. As a bit of a socialite, this was perfect! I was able to see status updates from my contacts list, i was able to see their profile pictures flash on screen if they phoned, texted or emailed, and I was able to even see status updates from my contacts too.
Anyway, a few days ago i downloaded an updated FB app from Marketplace. All was still fine, and contacts in syn. Then earlier today i accidentally logged out of the FB app and it took all the connected info betwene my contacts and FB with it.
I have since logged back in and resynced my contacts. However... no longer are the profile pictures connected (I usually recognise calls, emails and texts by the photo not the name), i cant see facebook related information, and I just dont like it I've played around with all the options of views, syncs, and options etc but to no avail.
For the last two days my Facebook app on my iPhone 4s no longer works. I click on it and it tries to open but it just goes back to the screen.Â

i have a iphone 4s with ios 5.1.1 the volume button on the side no longer works when you press up or down it just pops up the screen that says ringer and the volume image but wont change the volume. also where the volume is on apps like Internet is a black box and you cant change the volume or anything.

I received an iHome iP92 alarm clock for Christmas in 2011. It has worked great until today. This moring instead of waking up to music from my iPhone 4 I woke up to beeping. Now I get a message when I plug the iPhone into the device "This accessory is not supported by iPhone".
I talked with a Verizon rep and they said I should dail *228 to update the programming as it had not been done for awhile. So, I did that, still have same problem.
I have powered the phone off, multiple times. I have also reset the iHome iP92 by unplugging it and removing the batteries as the documentation says.
When I plugged the iPhone into my car stereo, I was able to charge the iPhone, control it, and listen to music so I am pretty sure there is nothing wrong with the phone. Not sure if the update to i/OS 5.1.1 would have caused any issues or not.
