Eseries / Communicators :: Nokia E7 Music Sync No Longer Works
Nov 27, 2011After a recent update, my music library will no longer sync, nor does Ovi suite see any files on my E7 (which are really there). After attempting to sync, it will come up with the message "failure to sync". Oddly enough, contacts etc all sync without a problem and there is no problem listening to the music on the E7. I can copy music directly from Windows Mediaplayer, but that will cause the album not to show up in the albums on the E7 (though they are accessible through the file manager and then all works again.

Mar 19, 2010Not being a phone guru I have no idea how this happened. When calls come in, the ringtone no longer works. Instead, the phone announces by voice either the person, if in the phone book, or the number. Ex. "Call from xxxx".Yet the sound settings are set for the ringtone. It's possible when the phone was unlocked in the pouch (wouldn't be the first time) something was set randomly. Who knows. In any event, I need the ringtone working.

I'd just plug in my phone, launch the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and boom, contacts synced.Now, even though there are changes, the synchronization process starts, but it never updates anything. I updated my DTM to the latest, but still nothing Tried a battery pull on my BB, but no go there either.

That action takes me directly to the search screen, almost like its a new shortcut. Would anyone know how to get the screenshot capability back?

May 10, 2012I have an iPhone 4 and my girlfriend has an iPhone 4S both with 5.1.1. We went on an international trip and she used a local simcard for a while. When we returend iMessaging no longer works between us. It works between all other iPhone users though. We have tried hard resets of both phones..

Xperia X10 :: Sync No Longer Works?
Aug 2, 2011I bought my phone in May 2011, and for the very first time was able to sync my phone contacts with my facebook contacts. As a bit of a socialite, this was perfect! I was able to see status updates from my contacts list, i was able to see their profile pictures flash on screen if they phoned, texted or emailed, and I was able to even see status updates from my contacts too.
Anyway, a few days ago i downloaded an updated FB app from Marketplace. All was still fine, and contacts in syn. Then earlier today i accidentally logged out of the FB app and it took all the connected info betwene my contacts and FB with it.
I have since logged back in and resynced my contacts. However... no longer are the profile pictures connected (I usually recognise calls, emails and texts by the photo not the name), i cant see facebook related information, and I just dont like it I've played around with all the options of views, syncs, and options etc but to no avail.

BB Torch :: Microphone No Longer Works With Ear Piece
Jul 28, 2012I have a BB 9800, and I recently downloaded the latest 6.0 OS Bundle 2921. Since then, I cannot use the ear piece when making calls. The speaker/handset menu goes back and forth and there is no sound in the ear piece. I can no longer take calls in the car while I drive.

Jul 12, 2011After downloading the latest BB torch software o/s update, (6.0 Bundle 2391), the numlock feature doesn't work.
When I press the numlock key on the screen keypad (both SureType and Qwerty), it only stays in effect for a few numbers pressed, and then releases by itself. It used to work fine before this bundle update.

May 7, 2012some apps, like the music app, no longer display a volume slider. Even when connecting headphones, sounds cannot be heard from the iPhone. Any suggestions? It appears as though it is not only a hardware issue, but also a software one. I have restored my phone twice, with no noticeable effect.

IPhone :: IHome IP92 No Longer Works
May 30, 2012I received an iHome iP92 alarm clock for Christmas in 2011. It has worked great until today. This moring instead of waking up to music from my iPhone 4 I woke up to beeping. Now I get a message when I plug the iPhone into the device "This accessory is not supported by iPhone".
I talked with a Verizon rep and they said I should dail *228 to update the programming as it had not been done for awhile. So, I did that, still have same problem.
I have powered the phone off, multiple times. I have also reset the iHome iP92 by unplugging it and removing the batteries as the documentation says.
When I plugged the iPhone into my car stereo, I was able to charge the iPhone, control it, and listen to music so I am pretty sure there is nothing wrong with the phone. Not sure if the update to i/OS 5.1.1 would have caused any issues or not.

I used to be able to grab a random song from a file on my computer and drag and drop it onto my phone, without adding it to iTunes. Now, I can't add anything to my phone unless it's first in iTunes. BB Bold :: Email No Longer Works After Transferring To New One?
Oct 9, 2012I switched on the weekend from a company phone to my own phone. At the dealer, they used the BB desktop SW to move across all information from the previous phone to the new one. Everything moved across well, except my Blackberry email address. I have been able to set up a Gmail account no problem, everything works fine, but I can't get the Blackberry email address [URL] to work successfully. It is a valid email address, as I was using up until a few days back. I have tried adding the email address manually, but it claims that either the email address or the password are incorrect. I tried requesting a new BB email address, but used the same one, and the response came back that I can't use that address as it is already taken (I know - it's mine). I have a support call in and spent almost 2 hours trying different things with them, but so far no success.

Aug 22, 2012I have found that whenever I try to take a picture, it looks like it worked, but then I click on the image that appears in the corner and it shows the last picture that I took before this one (from over a month ago). The picture never actually saves.
I have tried turning it off, removing the battery, then turning it back on. I have tried deleting old pictures to clear up space (the phone says that I have over 5GB of space). I have tried giving the camera extra time before trying to view the picture.

Mar 14, 2010So today I had a unrecoverable 552 error and decided to just upgrade Sprint's 5.0 OS. Everything seems to be working fine, except now I'm getting the problem that the enhanced g-mail plugin isn't working correctly. I have it installed, but it doesn't seem to add any options for stars, labels, etc. It's listed in the applications page in the options, so I'm not sure what to do. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it countless times and did a battery pull after each. Does anyone know what may be causing this problem?

My blackberry would somehow "know" when I arrived at work each day and turn on the wifi and logon to my corporate network. I found this to be the most amazing feature ever! No longer did I have to worry about draining my battery because I forgot to turn off my wifi.Then I updated my OS to 7.1 from 7.0 and now this no longer happens and I don't know how to reactivate it. The good news is I am back on 7.0 due to a device switch. The bad news is I cannot figure out how to make this work again.

Oct 12, 2010i'm very familiar with the W715 and have been using one for the past 18 months and made good use of the AGPS feature - very fast fix times even indoors. Suddenly I now find that this phone is behaving as if AGPS is disabled in the menu. Master reset/Reflashing using SEUS and redownloaded my internet settings has not fixed the problem and even Vodafone UK have now provided me with a warranty replacement handset which performs exactly the same?! The world icon comes up for 5 seconds upon loading 'status info' just the satellites do not appear within the circles as they used to - instead they line up at the left/right of the screen until orbital data is downloaded via the strongest satellite instead of from the AGPS server. More worryingly my brand new W995 on O2 performs exactly the same which leads me to believe this is a SE problem and their rubbish about sending phone in for repair has really got me confused - how exactly will this help me? To clarify both handsets GPS chips work fine and will locate but the old slow way as if I don't have a data connection on the phone. But I do and can browse websites and check email so its not that. I've got Vodafone offering to send me yet another handset as their only solution, O2 I have a couple of days left to return under distance selling regulations but what I really want is AGPS working as it did before Called SE helpline today and they are the most unhelpful bunch i've ever dealt with. Telling me because the GPS works its not a problem, they totally ignore my comments that its not working WITH assistance. They also tell me they don't run any assistance server yet they must because you cannot change it in the settings anywhere and swapping network SIM cards used to be fine as long at there was a data profile setup.
Now two networks, two phones and no GPS assistance on either. Can anyone have a check on their handset and see if AGPS is working correctly or has a server gone down somewhere? Very lost and don't want to get blagged again when this technicial person rings me back to explain a bit better why my phone is OK and I just don't know what i'm talking about.

Oct 24, 2010I dont know what i have done or deleted improperly but I can no longer get android market to work on my X10 mini pro phone today. I have tried clearing cache and re-starting phone, turning off wi-fi and turning it back on again. when i click on the Market Icon i just get a white screen briefly for under a second and then it goes back to standby/menu screen I cannot get android market at all. I dont really fancy restoring the phone back to factory defaults to get it sorted out, is there any other way I can restore the market can I maybe download it and associated files from the internet somewhere. My phone is updated to 2.1 firmware by the way.

Jan 22, 2016I used to to be able to double tap to open camera and now it doesn't do anything at all. My power button to lock option in security is off. I'm on stock with elemental x kernel, with xposed. Idk if I accidentally enabled an option or disabled something in ex elemental kernel manager or limited a service in amplify that I shouldn't have.
And yes the double tap for camera is enabled in my settings and I cleared defaults too for the stock camera but nothing....

It desn't matter whether or not I had just been using the phone and don't need the password or not. It also doesn't matter whether or not I single-click or double-click it. I get the same result.

May 20, 2012I have a 3GS, it was jailbroken for me, but not only that, it was running on Ipad software. I was told the reason was at the time there weren't any hacks for the 3GS software due to the 4 being out and the ipad as well. phone ran well no issues. Finally have a computer, a iMac to be exact. I've been syncing without problems. Today, I updated my iPhone. I was told not to. but forgot since I had the phone "worked on" last year, and really wasnt thinking. The phone was restored to factory settings, I can get as far as the wi-fi set up. But I can not activate the cellular part of the phone. On iTunes, its saying there isn't a sim card installed. I took it out and reinstalled. Still nothing.

When this happens the car radio controls freeze and I have to switch the radio off and then on again. It all used to work fine before under 1.6. Trouble is I've got a long 18 months left on contract using the X10 mini which I now regret buying after being talked into it at the Phones 4 U shop. I've tried my ancient SE K700i and it works perfectly, so it's not the car.

Jul 15, 2012I am not at all happy with ICS. To me, the upgrade to ICS is a nothing more than a bunch of pretty colors and a few new animations. In actuality, however, I think that the upgrade delivered little in terms of improvements. In fact, I wish I could undo the upgrade and go back two weeks, to a time in which I felt the Razr Maxx was virtually flawless and was the best phone I ever had.Elsewhere in this owner's forum I have written about the way in which business contact names are now scrambeled in the contact list. Others are having problems with battery life, overheating, poor navigation, etc. However, the biggest failure of the ICS upgrade, as I see it, is the loss of the ability to view Flash encoded videos in either the native browser or in Dolphin.
With all of the hype about the upcoming release of ICS, why didn't anyone warn the customers that Flash would no longer work with ICS and that this upgrade would essentially hobble their device? Motorola did mention this fact buried in a pre-release notification, but it was easily missed:Due to Adobe's discontinuation of Flash development, Flash Player is no longer preloaded and is not available for download from Google Play to this device. Existing installations of Flash Player may or may not play Flash video properly. Alternatively, the new HTML5 standard is supported for Web video.
