I upgraded to iOS 5.1 and now my cameral lock screen doesn't work. The screen does a short "bounce" and then does nothing. It desn't matter whether or not I had just been using the phone and don't need the password or not. It also doesn't matter whether or not I single-click or double-click it. I get the same result.

Shortly after I upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1, the camera shortcut on my home screen stopped working. The camera icon appears even if I single click the home button, but whether I single click or double click the home button, touching the camera icon simply makes the screen bounce in rejection.
I have removed the passcode on my phone only to get the same effect.

I upgraded my OS to 5.0 for use with Verizon Broadband tethering.It no longer could connect.I called Verizon and they recommended a downgrade to the old OS.It works again. Sounds like this is a known issue for 5.0 with the Verizon broadband tether.Is there a fix in the works from BlackBerry?I liked what 5.0 had to offer, but can't upgrade again until this is fixed as I need to tether for work.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have found that whenever I try to take a picture, it looks like it worked, but then I click on the image that appears in the corner and it shows the last picture that I took before this one (from over a month ago). The picture never actually saves.
I have tried turning it off, removing the battery, then turning it back on. I have tried deleting old pictures to clear up space (the phone says that I have over 5GB of space). I have tried giving the camera extra time before trying to view the picture.
I have had my phone since it came out and I love it though I'm upgrading to the bold 9650 come may. I plan on giving the phone to my girlfriend and in the last few days the camera has become inoperative. I've done battery pulls. Remove memory card. Nothing seems to fix it. It starts up and them it shuts off saying it cannot be opened.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI used to to be able to double tap to open camera and now it doesn't do anything at all. My power button to lock option in security is off. I'm on stock with elemental x kernel, with xposed. Idk if I accidentally enabled an option or disabled something in ex elemental kernel manager or limited a service in amplify that I shouldn't have.
And yes the double tap for camera is enabled in my settings and I cleared defaults too for the stock camera but nothing....
Just updated my phone to 5.1, when pressing the shutter button for quick way to take pictures, it now takes 30seconds for camera to come on screen then flickers and won't take a picture. Is there anyway I can reverse this upgrade as it has not improved anything on my phone, it is still very hard to hear when ringing or playing music and now I can't take pictures correctly.

My RAZR has stopped using the default lockscreen. I push the power button, and the phone is just on and ready to go. Sometimes, when the power button is pushed, the lockscreen flashes up for a split second, but then goes away. I do not use any of the secure lockscreens, just the standard. How do I get it back?

32GB iPhone 4S running iOS 5.1. I recently tried to open the camera from the lockscreen but instead of opening the camera app, the icon bounces and doesn't open. I used to be able to double-click to bring up the camera icon and open it from there. Double-clicking still brings up the icon only this time instead of a picture of just the camera there are bars above and below the camera icon. Almost like a 'holding' or disabling command.
I can access the camera app if I slide to unlock the screen and go from there. The camera works fine. Changing HDR settings made no difference and I can't find anything under settings or the camera app. I have not done a reformat but I did do a hard reset, turning the phone off and back on, and that hold camera icon still comes up.

There is a camera icon on the lockscreen which you can slide to gain access to the camera. In 5.1.1 when I use this it shows the entire photo library and has the ability to delete photos in the library.

I received an iHome iP92 alarm clock for Christmas in 2011. It has worked great until today. This moring instead of waking up to music from my iPhone 4 I woke up to beeping. Now I get a message when I plug the iPhone into the device "This accessory is not supported by iPhone".
I talked with a Verizon rep and they said I should dail *228 to update the programming as it had not been done for awhile. So, I did that, still have same problem.
I have powered the phone off, multiple times. I have also reset the iHome iP92 by unplugging it and removing the batteries as the documentation says.
When I plugged the iPhone into my car stereo, I was able to charge the iPhone, control it, and listen to music so I am pretty sure there is nothing wrong with the phone. Not sure if the update to i/OS 5.1.1 would have caused any issues or not.

Having had issues with my SIM card (I was getting invalid SIM daily) my provider swapped the SIM and ported the number to a new card. Since doing this however Facetime no longer works or the find iphone ability through iCloud - just says that its not available. Phone is working fine on everything else. I have a 3GS, it was jailbroken for me, but not only that, it was running on Ipad software. I was told the reason was at the time there weren't any hacks for the 3GS software due to the 4 being out and the ipad as well. phone ran well no issues. Finally have a computer, a iMac to be exact. I've been syncing without problems. Today, I updated my iPhone. I was told not to. but forgot since I had the phone "worked on" last year, and really wasnt thinking. The phone was restored to factory settings, I can get as far as the wi-fi set up. But I can not activate the cellular part of the phone. On iTunes, its saying there isn't a sim card installed. I took it out and reinstalled. Still nothing.

So my phone got water damage, and the screen no longer works. It still functions but I have to use siri for everything. So i just decided to buy a new one. I wanted to back up my phone to itunes on my computer so I can put the new stuff on my computer, but since it wont let me back it up if i have no pass code for the iPhone, and clearly i cant enter it because my screen is not functioning. Is there a way i can open my phone with out touching it or enter the code in on itunes? It was working fine and then I loaded too much audio content and ran out of memory so I think it could not synch properly without memory available. I've since deleted all my audio and have plenty of space yet new contacts in Address Book do not show up on my iPhone even though the synch process appears to complete.

When I doube tap the home button to use the camera from the home screen, it sort of 'hops' up about 1/2 a cm, but then bounces back down without opening the camera app, this is only since the upgrade to 5.1. I tried a hard reset, but no joy (and no shortcut to the camera either!!)
