My BB Torch 9800 is not working! I can't even get the original JVM error to come up now - only reboot. I can't function without it. (I'm running OS6, bundle 2647) I chatted w/AT&T, but they directed me back to Blackberry.I have tried soft reboot, hard reboot, restoring from desktop software, re-downloading BBSAK to wipeout & reload OS6, but my phone will not even show as connected so desktop software & BBSAK will not recognize my device. After removing the battery, the red LED light comes on, the screen lights up, but the bar at startup wont even get 25% across now before it shuts down & restarts again. What can I do to get my BB Torch to reboot?
I am having an issue with a weird error code that I have gotten since day 1 of owning my torch. Everytime I do a BP when the phone boots up I am getting an error that says, "122 Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code. Activatet=6"
I get this same error code when trying to set up my visual voicemail. When someone leaves a message I get that 122 Error as well as another error sent from 1000000000 that just has a garbled message. My VVM has been reset twice by at&t and I have been told that everything is provisioned correctly. I was hoping that .214 would fix this issue but still it persists.
As you already know, the ring volume on the Torch 9800 is extremely low. So I tried to email custom mp3 ringtones to my phone to use instead. In attempting to do so, I received a message saying "More request cannot be completed. Service book information not found." I also received this message when trying to email a photo to my blackberry. This never use to happen in past blackberries I have owned.
How do I fix this "service book information not found" issue ?
I just upgraded my Bold 9000 to the Torch 9800, using the Blackberry Desktop Software, which did a great job of copying everything over. However, I now seem to have a copy of AT&T Navigator (from the Bold) installed, as well as a copy of AT&T Maps and Navigator (from the Torch). Unfortunately, neither of them works. I get the splash page, then a blank page with a header, and if I jab around on the blank screen it will eventually give me directions to somewhere in Virginia (I live in Texas). tried uninstalling Navigator (as Maps is a slightly newer version) but the Blackberry Desktop software won't let me. So I'm now left with two 4-meg apps neither of which are any use - and am paying AT&T 10 bucks a month for the privilege!
My phone just started giving me an error 71>=71 and after that im getting App Error 603 and my phone turns to a white screen then just shuts off totally. I have try to reformat the programs but half way through the process my phone says it cannot find a connection to my CPU but it does recognize it at the beginning?
I'm a new Blackberry user just picking up a Torch today. I proceeded to sunc up my Contacts using Blackberry Desktop Manager and was presented with an error and a KB article to consult. KB19454-"The <organizer application> database cannot be accessed for synchronization" appears when attempting a synchronization using BlackBerry Desktop Manager 1.0 on a Mac computer
Has anyone experienced this issue and no the solution? Although the KB article references many sync item issues, mine is with contacts. I admit I was a little disappointed to find that out-of-the-box I was unable to sync with Contacts on OS X.
I have purchased BB torch 9800 just 5 months back. some 2 months back it started telling out of memory error and my mobile did not boot at all. then i took the same to service center. There they have reloaded the software and gave to me without any additional cost. There after rebuilding my application and data took me more than 3 days.
again after 3 months i am getting same kind of problme my device is busy in doing some work. i do not know what is the reason.
For last 2 weeks I've had a SIM card error message on my Torch 9800. It also shows an SOS message where the signal strength should be. The error message goes away when I'm in range of a wireless network which my phone has been set up for (my home, and where I work). Otherwise it won't receive/sent messages when I'm outside one of these zones. I've had tried opening the phone up and removing/reinserting the SIM card. It doesn't work. Now I have a phone that pretty much doesn't work, except in very small zones. What can I do to get my phone fixed. Does this sound like something I can do myself, or do I need to send it to RIM to be fixed.
My BBM is not working. I try to add people by scanning their barcode in and it says that they are pending. But when I ask people if they got the invite they don't. I try to add people by putting in their PINs and it does the same. They try to add me and it says that I'm pending but I didn't get the invite.
I have a Torch 9800 with OS 6. I have noticed that my phone is not getting any of the emails from my five email accounts. I went through deleted them all and readded them and it was telling me there was a problem connecting to the server. I have plugged my phone in and made sure everything is up to date, pulled the battery and resent the regestured with my wireless network.
After updating the software on my 9800 I haven't been able to set up my email account again, every time I try it freezes up for a while and then I get a message saying "Unable to open email set-up application. Contact your wireless service provider." I never had this problem before I updated the software, I used to receive my emails to my BB.
Ever since I downloaded the latest version of the Facebook for Blackberry app through App World, I get the following error message: "Unable to connect to the Facebook server (1400)". I have tried numerous times to pull the battery as well as uninstall / re-install the app and no luck. I also tried to download the app via the web, but still have the same problem.
i walked out the shower to use my phone and it was completely dead. Wouldnt turn on at all and no red light to assist me either lol. Anyway i plugged it in to a wall charger and after maybe forty minutes it flashed on and all was working fine for about an hour and a half. charge was half done and i was about to leave the house when....again it went dead! this is now 6 hours ago! its been on charge since and still i have had nothing..
Just got a bb torch 9800. Had it unlocked as it was thru bell and my server is Rogers. I am able to get online and text. I can also use the phone for calls (uconnect works) the only issue I think I have is that I can not bbm or social network (facebook and email). When I check the service status it says bbis and bbes not connected.
I was using my Facebook app on my device up until last week without any problems, until one day it just seemed to crash :/ I uninstalled the app with the intention of reinstalling it to see if this would help, or even see if an upgrade was available.However, it wont let me reinstall the app, and when I try to reinstall through my browser, it says that my device doesn't support it! Finding using Facebook on the browser all the time really slow and annoying so would really like some help as to how to get my app back and working again!

I have had my phone for one week and it hasent worked at all.I try to take a pic and it jus freezes and then the camera sound happens seconds later and it doesnt save the pic.I have tried to reboot phone and batt pulls and this works for one pic then returns to the freezing, I have the most updated OS and I am stuck.
I have purchased Blackberry 9800 torch few months back. I paid around Rs.33,600 / - for the handset. From the time i bought i had problems with thehandset. It was keep getting stuck. I had given it to service center inbangalore. They did some resetting. But again it continued. Its keep gettingstuck and i have to remove the battery and refix the battery again. By keepdoing this, my back pannel has become loose. Now my handset speaker is notworking. My ring tone is not working. I gave it to the service center andthey said its speaker has spoiled. They made me wait for hours. They are asking for the handset for8 to 10 days for the repair. They asked me to take the back up of my files.Now im trying to download the desktop software to take the handset back up.But desktop software is not getting downloaded. I have tried with threecomputers. But it is not getting downlaoded with any of these computers. iam sick and tiered of it. Therez no online support or some custome care tosupport me. I dont have the stand by hand set for 10 days. Im not able totake the back ups. I have somany important data's in my handset. I amwasting my time trying to download the desktop softwareI dont want this phone. Kindly give my money back. i paid Rs.33,600 / - forthe blackberry 9800 torch. i dont want it to get it repaired. It is not evena year old. I want my money back.
