View 13 Replies View RelatedI have bought a Torch, but cannot get it to set up in the Organizer configuration to sync with my Calendar in MS Office XP- Outlook. My computer runs Windows XP. The contacts and memo will configure (although) they are posting to an archive folder and when I try to change that I get Error 0x80043bea), but the Calendar and Tasks will go through the set-up process, but when you finish it, the checkmark on those 2 Outlook folder disappears before you can even select the advance settings.I have re-set the configuration on the Desktop software a couple of times, to no avail, and uninstalled the Desktop 6.0 software and reinstalled it. None of these measures have changed the problem.Any suggestions?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am having an issue with a weird error code that I have gotten since day 1 of owning my torch. Everytime I do a BP when the phone boots up I am getting an error that says, "122 Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code. Activatet=6"
I get this same error code when trying to set up my visual voicemail. When someone leaves a message I get that 122 Error as well as another error sent from 1000000000 that just has a garbled message. My VVM has been reset twice by at&t and I have been told that everything is provisioned correctly. I was hoping that .214 would fix this issue but still it persists.
When I select the app world on my phone and try to login in i'm getting a 30601 error. it seems several people are also geeting this error.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am new to the community and would appreciate any assistance. I have two recent problems for which I am seeking troubleshooting advice. The priority problem is mentioned first below.I've just encountered this error message, "For help resolving this issue, refer to KB19454 in the BlackBerry Desktop Manager Knowledge Base" when attempting to sync my Curve 8320. I use a Mac, and I haven't run into any difficulties syncing since downloading the newer version of the Desktop Manager for Mac in Dec/Jan. I haven't been able to download the latest update though. I did see an early post by someone with the same difficulty, but I was unclear of the question posed, and thus I am hopeful for potential suggestions for resolution. The additional problem I've recently experienced is that I can't compose an SMS/MMS message. I can only reply to someone's message. When I try to simply send one, the screen defaults back to the list of messages. Please Note: I do not have wireless on my phone. I utilize Blackberry Desktop Manager Version 1.0.1 .Please also note that I am not able to access electronic messages daily but will attempt to return any responses/inquires as quickly as possible.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAs you already know, the ring volume on the Torch 9800 is extremely low. So I tried to email custom mp3 ringtones to my phone to use instead. In attempting to do so, I received a message saying "More request cannot be completed. Service book information not found." I also received this message when trying to email a photo to my blackberry. This never use to happen in past blackberries I have owned.
How do I fix this "service book information not found" issue ?
All of a sudden when synching my Torch I get this error message: Cannot log on to Exchange Server. Please check server access or provide a valid password. I don't use MS Exchange or BES so I don't understand this error message.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm a new Blackberry user just picking up a Torch today. I proceeded to sunc up my Contacts using Blackberry Desktop Manager and was presented with an error and a KB article to consult. KB19454-"The <organizer application> database cannot be accessed for synchronization" appears when attempting a synchronization using BlackBerry Desktop Manager 1.0 on a Mac computer
Has anyone experienced this issue and no the solution? Although the KB article references many sync item issues, mine is with contacts. I admit I was a little disappointed to find that out-of-the-box I was unable to sync with Contacts on OS X.
My BB Torch 9800 is not working! I can't even get the original JVM error to come up now - only reboot. I can't function without it. (I'm running OS6, bundle 2647) I chatted w/AT&T, but they directed me back to Blackberry.I have tried soft reboot, hard reboot, restoring from desktop software, re-downloading BBSAK to wipeout & reload OS6, but my phone will not even show as connected so desktop software & BBSAK will not recognize my device. After removing the battery, the red LED light comes on, the screen lights up, but the bar at startup wont even get 25% across now before it shuts down & restarts again. What can I do to get my BB Torch to reboot?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have purchased BB torch 9800 just 5 months back. some 2 months back it started telling out of memory error and my mobile did not boot at all. then i took the same to service center. There they have reloaded the software and gave to me without any additional cost. There after rebuilding my application and data took me more than 3 days.
again after 3 months i am getting same kind of problme my device is busy in doing some work. i do not know what is the reason.
For last 2 weeks I've had a SIM card error message on my Torch 9800. It also shows an SOS message where the signal strength should be. The error message goes away when I'm in range of a wireless network which my phone has been set up for (my home, and where I work). Otherwise it won't receive/sent messages when I'm outside one of these zones. I've had tried opening the phone up and removing/reinserting the SIM card. It doesn't work. Now I have a phone that pretty much doesn't work, except in very small zones. What can I do to get my phone fixed. Does this sound like something I can do myself, or do I need to send it to RIM to be fixed.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI cant seem to remove the AT&T Address Book, and after hrs on the phone with AT&T and RIM seems no one knows how to?! I am pretty proficient with tinkering with Blackberry's but I don't see anywhere in the OS a way to revert the contact list to default and remove the AT&T Address Book completely from the phone. This is really screwing up my back ups and contact list and I would appreciate some input from the true BB knowledge base on the web!
I have a Torch 9800 and on Saturday while uninstalling the true caller app that I thought was the reason for the slow response I was getting from my phone, it began restarting itself and eventually gave me a JVM 545 error - reset and it went off completely. It is has not responded to anything even charging. I have even tried the Blackberry Desktop Software and still no response.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been going around and around with this issue for the last couple days. When I opened citysearch it said there was an update. After updating it all it did was open, nothing else, then it just closed. So I deleted it, thinking I'd reinstall it, but it doesn't show up in appworld when I do a search. So I go to appworld online and send have it send me a link, but no reinstall button. So i delete appworld to see if that will fix it. now when I try to reinstall it I get the message..."sorry your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support blackberry app world" Ok.....so I reinstall the os just for the heck of it. Still same thing. Why is it so difficult to add apps to this phone? I never had this kind of grief with my 9000.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI know there are separate posts on this subject on connection consistency problems but I can't seem to get an answer to a fundamental question. Is the problem hardware or software related? Since turning off WiFi improves the connection consistency significantly what does that imply? I want to return my Torch of this is a hardware issue.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI keep getting the following message:"The network you are connected to appears to be a hotspot. You may be required to consent to legal terms and/or set up an account to get internet access. Hotspot operators may charge service fees for internet access". However, its a free network that my other devices, such as my playbook connect to without problems. When I click "OK" I get another message that says: "This is a Wi-Fi service. Please ensure your device has an active Wi-Fi connection and try again." I click OK, and it takes my to the BB browser, which of course doesn't work. Its like it wants me to give permission to use the network, but I need to use the network to give the approval.
-WiFi is enabled
-Bluetooth is enabled
-Other devices including Playbook currently work on the network
-Repeatedly gives me the first message above, followed by the second message above
As an avid business crackberry fan (and business manager) for over 3 years, I was appalled to find that I would need to slide the keyboard out to enter my security code, especially when I would do it 50-100 times per day. As every other touchscreen phone on the market has a pattern unlock method, this is the single issue preventing from purchasing this phone(s) PLEASE ISSUE AN UPDATE/APP/PATCH anything to bring this vital security & efficiency issue up to par.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just got the BB Torch 9800. It's my first touchscreen phone, so I'm sorry if this has been discussed before. While I'm on a phone call, the following buttons automatically appear on the touchscreen: Mute, Hold, Speaker Phone, and Add Recipient. I have yet to complete a phone conversation without hitting one of these buttons with my cheek. I cannot for the life of me find a way in Options to stop these buttons from appearing during phone calls.I am actually considering returning the phone over this.

I've been able to sync my Torch upto this point without any problem. However, just a couple days ago, I started getting a message saying "Intellisync - Connector Specific Error".it is not syncing with the Outlook data.neither the setting of the Desktop program nor the physics around my computer has changed. It is the same USB cable.I've already installed the program a couple of times and started fresh but it didn't make any difference.
