i am trying to set up my torch on our company domain via the wireless settings, i need to add an ip address and subnet mask but dont seem to be able to find the settings, the wirelss is found and i add the security code but i know when we set up computers we need to add the ip details, is this possible on a tourch?
I've managed to get Outlook 2010 set up as an exchange server - couldn't carry on trying to use it with hotmail connector - it just didn't work. So, now on my Lumia 610 I have an Outlook account and I sign into it with my gmail email address and password. But it says it can't find the server settings. So, I'm having a stab at entering them manually. This is what I'm using:So my question is, are these the correct settings to use???? If not, what should they be?I can sense it, I'm close to actually getting my calendar to sync, but I just need to get past this one (hopefully the last!) hurdle.
So my blackberry has access to my company website and I want to share this with my tablet. I know the Torch has the ability to do this with a PlayBook, however can it be done with an Android tablet? I just won the new Samsung and would love to have access from it rather than my laptop.
DROID BINOIC..> .SETTINGS.>WIRELESS AND NETWORK SETTINGS> ETHERNET IS "DISABLED" IT IS ALSO GRAYED OUT AND WILL NOT ENABLE ......ETHERNET SETTINGS IS ALSO GRAYED OUT
I changed carrier last week, until that everything worked fine, my yahoo, google and company emails. I use BIS.Now, I am not able to setup my company email, but my other emails work ok, m phone is registered. I use these emails since many years and had 3-4 different bb models, having no problem to setup all of them.
So, i tried my new carrier's website to create a new account, I got the following message:
Cannot create account: This action cannot be performed using a browser on a computer. Use the email setup application on your BlackBerry smartphone to create an account.
My wife and I both have Atrix 4G phones. I frequently get a Popup window when I unplug the charger reminding me to unplug the charger. This happens both with my 12V to USB adapter plugged into my motorcycle and with the home charger from Motorola. Also, I lose the settings for my home wireless and have to re-enter everything. I've gotten notifications that I'm using up my data plan because I lose my wireless and emails then start downloading over the cell network without my knowing it. I'm about ready to get rid of the so called smart phone and go back to my basic cell phone.
My email [URL] and [URL] can't be setup in BIS due to the Blackberry can't recognize my email domain. I check my domains, mx, dns, etc, and there is no issue at all.
I am trying to set up my two google apps email addresses on my Bold.
I have set up the mx records ok as I am sending and receiving mail fine on my mac and my laptop, but when I try adding the accounts on the Blackberry, I get an error every time telling me that the domain could not be found!! I have three other addresses all working fine on the Blackberry.
It worked while I was with the previous domain host, but since changing, cant get it to work.
I have A Blackberry Torch 9800....OS 6...And It's Not picking Up my Wireless Router....When I turn The Wifi On, The Grey dark Symbol Just Comes On But When I try To Search For Any Routers It Doesn't Detect Any...I've tried Connecting It Manually But It Says "Failed To Connect To The Internet"..If I Stand near Beside The Router It Connects But The Signal Is Very Weak...I Have To Literally Be Standing Right Next To The Router Or Else My Torch Won't Pick It Up..This Started Happening Couple Days Ago But Before That It Had No problem Connecting.. Do I Just Have A Bad Signal?.If So, Why Did It Just Started All Of A Sudden Cause It used To Work Flawless Before That?
Can not shut off the Wireless Sync on the Torch for Contacts or Address book. Want to Sync Microsoft Vista 7 - Outlook data with the torch but can not shut off the Wireless on the Torch by function.
my phone will not connected to wireless network, it receives the gaining OK, but in the Service Status it says BlackBerry Internet Service; Not Connected and also BlackBerry Enterprise Server; Not Connected.
When I try to go to a webpage it says; 'Unable to find requested server'. Is there some setting on my phone I have to change? This has only happened in the last 2 weeks, I usually had you trouble connecting to the internet through wireless connection.
Like I have no trouble gaining internet access through just using my mobile network to connect, which seems strange! Also my BlackBerry App World also says 'having trouble connecting to BlackBerry App World. Verify your network connections and try again.
I have a Microsoft exchange account which synchronizes my calendar, tasks and contacts with Outlook 2010. Everything works fine except the calendar. If I enter an appointment on my Outlook calendar, it appears on my Torch. However, if I enter an appointment on my phone, it doesn't appear in Outlook.
I have the BB Torch 9800. OS 6.0 Bundle 2342. I can turn on the wireless network and I get about a minute of service before it turns itself off. It only does this for the wireless network the Wifi and Bluetooth both stay on just fine.
As soon as i received BB HS-700 i charged it and turned it on and it also got paired successfully with my new BB torch 9800 with the Title " HS-700" But for some reason i deleted this connection from Bluetooth paired devices Section. Don't ask me why i did ... i just did.
Now, i want to make the connection again. And whenever i press Search.. after a while, it says "Phone" is found and then ask the passkey to be entered . Which i use "0000". At the end it says "Unable to pair with. Try again"
It has been now two days and i have read and did every thing to make this connection but the same result.
Any one had a issue where they couldn't validate their email service with their provider? After almost a day of boucing between my ISP and Vodafone it appears the issue could lie with RIM servers.
We recently had an employee depart without notice. We do not want to delete his e-mail account because we must still process his incoming company-related e-mails. His e-mail (e.g. joe@ourdomain.com) still goes to his Balckberry. How do we prevent e-mails addressed to him at our domain address from going to his Blackberry without deleting the e-mail address altogether?
I've spent some time researching this but if you know of a thread please point me. basically researching it made my head spin.I have my own domain. Its hosted at register.com. I use their email client. Its web based and supports real IMAP commands so I use Mozilla email client on my laptop since Outlook SUCKS *** at IMAP. (sorry venting) So me experience with blackberry is that unless you use a BIS server A) you suck batteries and B) it slows the ***** out of your BB.Can someone give me some advice? Im on cricket and BB is new to them. Im not sure if I can move my domain to them. Im afraid to even call them as my blood pressure will skyrocket their support is horrible. but I do enjoy the pricepoint/value of cricket as Im unemployed right now and for $60 a month I can enjoy unlimited everything with BB service $40 without BB. which is what I have now. So what to do when you have your own domain and want the BB to operate well?
I'm an ASU student so my email ends in @asu.edu. However its a Gmail account and I just got a new iPhone and I would really like to set it up through the mail app but it won't let me. Every time I type my email and password in the phone says: "The user name or password for [URL] is incorrect"...but I know it isn't.
I want to push my outlook 2010 contacts to my BES enabled Torch 9810 on AT&T running 7.0 Bundle 1355(v7.0.0.261 Platform 5.0.0.469).When I go into Desktop Manager 6.1.0.35 it says my calendar and Address book are syncing wirelessly. Nothing I've tried gets Desktop Manager to recognize that I've turned off wireless synchronization.
I've tried going to Messages->Menu->Options->Email Reconciliation and clearing the Wireless Reconcile checkbox. I do the same thing in Desktop->Menu->Options->Email Reconciliation and clearing the Wireless Reconcile checkbox.Other posts on the internet talk about going into the contacts application, going to options and shutting off wireless synchronization, however I think this is for other devices. There is nothing in there about wireless synchronization.
A few weeks ago there was a software update to BlackBerry Desktop which now precludes me from synching the new Contacts from my Outlook on computer to the device (Torch9810).
I have tried unsuccessfully to turn off wireless snchronization but this device doesn't have that option. I went to Contacts --> Options --> Synchronization but the only alternative there is to uncheck AT&T Address Book Automatic Synchronization.
It doesn't import new Contacts either way (checked or not). Used to before the software update I relunctantly downloaded. But not now.
i brought my bb to a sauna room, and a day after that, my bb suddenly restarted itself and when it turned on the screen was all white with Blackberry Wireless Handheld on top of the screen and 1997-2008 RIM on the bottom of the screen.
join of wirelessly being able to drag/files from their pc onto their phone? - without using sky drive this would be ideal for me, wireless charging and wireless connectivity for the phone just when you connect wirelessly to the network.i want wireless charger on the desk, plonk phone on, sync music/pics etc without having to plug cable in
Just yesterday all of BB in the company (using BIS) cannot send messages from our own domain(xyxy.com) it can send to all other domain like yahoo, gmail etc... It gives a check mark on all the sent the messages but when i check my domain emails its not there where as on gmail it was there? All of my colleagues (20 of them) have the same problem. I check the provider they said everything is OK on their sides....
