We recently had an employee depart without notice. We do not want to delete his e-mail account because we must still process his incoming company-related e-mails. His e-mail (e.g. joe@ourdomain.com) still goes to his Balckberry. How do we prevent e-mails addressed to him at our domain address from going to his Blackberry without deleting the e-mail address altogether?
View 1 RepliesI have a Blackberry Torch on Vodafone UK which I've been using for several months very happily. I had set up two email addresses - a hotmail.com account and an email account with my own domain name (name@namesurname.co.uk). Up until this morning they were working just fine.
This morning I noticed that a lot of emails were coming into Outlook on my PC but not coming to my handset. I sent test messages from my handset and they never arrived in Outlook. So I resent the service books, got the usual "set up successful" message, but still nothing. I did a hard reset, but no change.I logged in to Vodafone's BIS site and removed the mydomain email account, as in the past when I have had problems removing it and re-adding it seemed to fix it. However, now I can't put it back on! Even when I add the additional data via the website I get the following message:
An error occurred during email account validation. I tried the same process via the handset and get a similar error message:Invalid email address or password. Verify your email address and password. If the error persists, contact namesurname.co.uk (i.e. my domain)
Now, I know that the password is correct as I am using the same one to log into my webmail and to get emails in Outlook. I have checked the email server in cPanel for my domain. So as far as I'm concerned all of the info is correct.
What else can I try? I've set up a forwarder for my domain mail to a newly created vodafone mail account in the meantime, but it's not ideal as this doesn't have the "delete on mailbox and handheld" option. Unfortunately I've tried calling Vodafone twice - the first person I spoke to said he would ring me back in under two hours, and that was five hours ago. The second person was far from helpful. Please help, this is very frustrating!
(Update: I have also changed the password for my email account to ensure that it is DEFINITELY the right one, and deleted almost all the messages from the inbox (there were some over 8MB which may have been causing the problem). I have also completely deleted my BIS account and started again from scratch. Still no joy.)

I've recently purchased a used 9900 and have gotten stumped on the following problem. The previous owner's emails are still coming into the general messages inbox.
Since I've gotten the device, I've done a full security wipe (multiple times), upgraded the OS to 7.1.0.402 (1333) and have gone through the service books without any success.
I've contacted the seller, who has in turn contacted Rogers Wireless to remove BIS service from his account (he switched to iphone) however, the messages from 2 of his internet based email accounts (Gmail & Yahoo) continue to be pushed to the 9900.
I've wiped the device (on-baord and via pc), I've re-entered by BBID, I've even attempted to access Rogers BIS activation page however, when I request the password to be resent, it send a blank field in the email.
I'm new to the BB and purchased an 8330 on ebay. Everythings seems to be fine, except, not all of the pervious owner info was deleted before I got it.. I was able to go into the user info by deleting and adding my own and that worked fine. I was able to activate the phone ok.However, when I set up the email account info for my web mail account, it created an additional account and didn't replace the old owners Gmail account.
I receive my emial fine but when I reply from the phone it goes our through the Gmail and not my webmail account. Both Icons are on the screen and I have set "Hide" and "Show All". If I uncheck "Show All" the Icon disappears. If I recheck the "Show All" it is back so it must still be active in background. (I do this uncheck by opening the Browser Icon.) The old name is still there on that Gmail account.
How do I get rid of this old user info, so it won't haunt me anymore?
I created a group under "People" and then decided that I don't want that specific group.

View 4 Replies View RelatedUpgraded to Bold 9900 a few months ago, last week, Bold kept restarting and so got new bold. Using BES 4.1 and activated phone, but appears that only 5 days worth of emails in Inbox and no emails in Sub-folders. Spoke to Blackberry and they said that this was by design!!! Deleted user from BES and re-created, but still same problem. Is there anything I can do, can't believe that this is by design. It appears that even though you delete user from BES Server, details are still in back end database and so when user is recreated from address list, it links back to the database and repopulates with the limited emails. Is there a way that I can delete the user completely and then recreate from scratch and populate all emails from exchange inbox and sub-folders?

However refuses to delete the jpgs either within the device, with a file browser or with BB Desktop. I have set up the mx records ok as I am sending and receiving mail fine on my mac and my laptop, but when I try adding the accounts on the Blackberry, I get an error every time telling me that the domain could not be found!! I have three other addresses all working fine on the Blackberry.

Its hosted at register.com. I use their email client. Its web based and supports real IMAP commands so I use Mozilla email client on my laptop since Outlook SUCKS *** at IMAP. (sorry venting) So me experience with blackberry is that unless you use a BIS server A) you suck batteries and B) it slows the ***** out of your BB.Can someone give me some advice? Im on cricket and BB is new to them. Im not sure if I can move my domain to them. View 1 Replies View RelatedMy boss is having trouble recieving e-mails on his BlackBerry Bold 9000. He has had the phone for about eight months and has experienced no problems until last Friday. He stopped recieving mail on his phone out of the blue, so he took the unit to his local AT&T store and they said it was a problem with the domain.
We reset his e-mail password and he is now recieving the following error message when we try to register the account with BlackBerry Internet Service using the AT&T setup page:
Email address domain not found: I have done some research on the web and these forums trying to find people experiencing the same problem. Based on that, I've done an MX lookup, a DNS lookup, etc. and encountered no problems with the domain. It is an established address that has been in use for more than two years. The domain is [URL]
I have tried entering the specific address of the mail server under Advanced Setup, but to no avail. We have three other employees currently recieving mail on their BlackBerry devices using the same domain and nobody else is experiencing problems.
I also tried creating a new e-mail address on the domain and synching that one, but I just recieved the same message.
I am unable to add an e-mail account to my bis account.
The error message I get back is
The email address domain cannot be found. I setup the mail host myself and I can send/receive e-mail just fine in outlook. The domain is tmconcepts.ca . I think it might be a dns issue but I am not sure.
i'm using encrypted email time to time on my PC using outlook 2012 and a smartcard.... fine my iphone is set up with this exchange account... fine I was not able to read encryted email (normal!) untill i've exported my certificate to the iphone good but now:when the certificate is active: i cannot distinguish encrypted email from non-encrypted ones; and if I forward these encrypte email, there are not crypted anymore...so if I activate s/mime in the exchange account on ios, then all my email all encrypted.... how can I toggle easily between encrypted and encrypted ? as I can do it easily on my PC outool?
