Aug 25, 2010As an avid business crackberry fan (and business manager) for over 3 years, I was appalled to find that I would need to slide the keyboard out to enter my security code, especially when I would do it 50-100 times per day. As every other touchscreen phone on the market has a pattern unlock method, this is the single issue preventing from purchasing this phone(s) PLEASE ISSUE AN UPDATE/APP/PATCH anything to bring this vital security & efficiency issue up to par.

Thinking I'd screwed up a setting somewhere, I looked all over setup but cannot find anything to enable/disable. Is it me or my phone? Tried different players (I use winamp), different plugs. Did not reset the phone because I've spent considerable time loading and tweaking apps/settings/fonts etc and do not wish to lose all that.

Also, possibly unrelated, it seems that the touch screen just stopped working as well whether or not the slide is open. The phone also will not connect to BB Desktop. Feb 14, 2012I have had my Blackberry Torch now for about 10months and last week i think i may have got it slightly wet after i tried to answer the phone when getting out of the bath. Since then it has been ok but last night when i slid open the screen everything went black. As soon as i slide the screen shut it works again! This basically means that i can only use the phone as a touch screen phone when it is down (which isn't good for me as I always text using the keypad when it is slided open).I called o2 and they said before they send it off to be repaired that i should try upgrading all of the latest BB software as that might fix it. I have never had any upgrades but will this really be able to fix my screen? Is there any other way i can try and fix the phone myself?

BB Torch :: 9850 Shut Off And Really Slow?
Dec 5, 2011A couple of days ago my blackberry torch 9850 shut off randomly during the day and since then has been so slow that it takes(I timed it) 45 seconds to open an e-mail message. I've tried taking the battery out, I've reset it a few times and I'm working on reinstalling the operating system.
I've read a bunch of forums and most places say that I have to do an operating system reinstall every few months because THIS IS A FEATURE OF THIS PHONE? Is there a permanent fix for this or do I have to switch back to my android?

May 17, 2012About an hour ago my phone started acting weird. Everytime I tried to use the keyboard it closed whatever I was doign down (I was trying to send a text, but it closed down google and anything else I tried to experiment using the keyboard with).
So I tried turning it off and on again. Then I took the battery out for a couple of minutes (and put it back in)I was just thinking about a system reset when it stopped turning on. I get a couple of flashing red lights sometimes. Occasionally it turns on, same keyboard problem, black screen within a minute.
I try and use the PC companion to update the software, but it connects, then tells me to pull the bar down from the top and click connect - there is no bar. It's just the charging screen. Turning the phone back on disconnects it.

Jan 7, 2010I have bought my n82 since 1 year already and was happily using it when I noticed that my messages are failing everytime and the phone is resending it (or rescheduling to resend it) and ALL the time it fails, and it reschedules to infinity.I paid this mobile from the sweat of my work and now it is failing after only one year? The destinator of my message sometimes call back and tell me that they have received 5 times the SAME message from me BUTTTT the phone is saying message rechedule (as it failed). What the hell is that? failing on myphone but successfully sent?
I have had this problem some months back. And I did a hard reset and firmware upgrade to 31version. It was ok for 3 months, and now the problem is BACKK.My message centre is good, I even tried to use the network of only gsm - no success.
