Dec 5, 2011A couple of days ago my blackberry torch 9850 shut off randomly during the day and since then has been so slow that it takes(I timed it) 45 seconds to open an e-mail message. I've tried taking the battery out, I've reset it a few times and I'm working on reinstalling the operating system.
I've read a bunch of forums and most places say that I have to do an operating system reinstall every few months because THIS IS A FEATURE OF THIS PHONE? Is there a permanent fix for this or do I have to switch back to my android?

Aug 13, 2010I just found that it's not just OS6.It's better on BOLD because pressing "end" button while in Standby mode will just wake the device.Is there Standby mode in OS6? on Torch? When you are composing email/txt msg, once you touch the "send" icon on touchscreen the msg will just be sent immediately. I hate this because I might hit it randomly. Is there any way to add a confirmation window there?

Aug 18, 2010I'm not sure how to connect my school email to my blackberry Torch. My school e-mail is weird because when I go inside everything looks exactly like gmail but it isn't exactly gmail beacuse you can't sign on from www.gmail.com. Gotta go through the school website. It does provide instructions on how to link to the Blackberry but it doens't work for the Torch because the option doesn't exist.

I go into application managment and its there. For example, the facebook app does not show an icon and I cannot find it even in a "universal search". Jun 8, 2011I have had a blackberry torch for a while now which i had bought in the uk, i have been living in spain since september and have been using the wifi in my house here to bbm and use all the apps etc. I recently went back to the uk to visit and came back to spain yesterday and connected to my wifi... however my bbm, email, fb, and all other apps are not working, however i can connect to the browser! I have tried various things to make it work again, for eg, pulling the battery out, taking sim in and out, making sure the data service is on! The wi fi is definitely connected as the signal bar in the right hand corner is white! Does anybody know how to make it work again, it has always worked completely fine!
