BB Torch :: How To Install New Apps

So this has been going on for some time now. When I install any new apps, once it is finished no icons show up ANYWHERE to shortcut to the program. I go into application managment and its there. For example, the facebook app does not show an icon and I cannot find it even in a "universal search". Yet when I go to application managament, it says its properly installed. I recently did a full wipe on the device including 3rd party apps and still it does the same thing.

Menu-->Settings-->Application manager-->
Gives me 3 options: Installed apps.Installation files Installation sett. Now when i click 'Installed apps', nothing happens and i am thrown to the previous menu after 30sec or so. My software version is V 20.0.005.

I just acquired a used iPhone 2G. It has been jailbroken and unlocked, but I am not using it as a phone right now. It has been restored and registered. It is connected to wifi and safari and email works fine.
When selecting an App to download from the App Store (I've tried a couple), after pressing the green install button, the button turns into a smaller green rectangle. Press again and it turns into a blue rectangle, and nothing happens.

My daughter uses our old iphone 2g as an ipod. Recently, she has been unable to install apps that she previously had on the phone. They won't install from itunes either. When trying that way, the icon disappears off the iphone page. These are apps that had worked on this phone previously. Now NO apps will install. I have restored to factory settings without success.

Recently I bought a used N8 which has been working as expected until I noticed that it wouldn't install a single app. When I got the phone the previous user had reset the phone to factory settings and in general tried to turn it back to it's original condition. At first all apps installed without problems. The only app I experienced problems with was Nokia Store, which always got stuck on the loading screen and never opened. Now my N8 hasn't been able to install any apps what so ever, especially no .sis or .sisx files. The installation of .sis or .sisx files results in a error message Unable to install (or something similar in english). The newest software of Symbian Anna is installed on the phone. The only app I've been able to install is one with a .wgz ending.I've tried to reset the phone to factory settings again, reset the device with *#7370# code and held the power button for 8 seconds, and my problem persists.

I can't get my C3-00 (with Opera Mini) to install apps. Whether I download them using the phone (like from Ovi.com) or my computer and put them on the phone later, the apps show up under "games" just fine, but when I open them, it says "opening application" and immediately "closing application". just recently i bought a used bb bold 9700 from my frnd.The mobile carrier which he was using was 3 mobile but before selling to me he unlocked the fone.The current operating system is 5.0...i hav not updated it yet.k.coming to the issue i am trying to install watsapp on my fone from my PC but the app is not getting installed...the fone is connected to my PC through bb desktop soft so wen i try to download by from app world website it comes up with this error "An error has occurred communicating with the BlackBerry App World Web plugin. i am trying to download and install a few apps but it says i have no space available and i should delete stuff. i have tried to delete everything i can see, but despite the fact i have only BB Messenger, Whatsapp and Blackberry App Manager installed, i still have no space!!
im sure these apps cannot be taking all the device memory (64MB) - so what to do? all vids, pics and audio i have are stored on the memory card.

It takes forever for applications downloaded from Google Play to install. One app took over 1 hour to install. This is unacceptable. I have high speed internet access with a high speed dual band wireless Netgear R6 200 smart router.

I am having massive problems using my desire with apps from the market.The problem is not downloading apps it is that the phone will not install them after the download. When attempting to do this the phone displays 'installation unsucessful'. I also get this message when trying to update some of my apps.Occasionally i will get an app to install but it rarely.I have tried clearing cache and data from the market app and also changed my googlemail address and also changed my googlemail password etc.This is a massive let down as apps is obviously one of the main reasons that i purchased an android phone.

in my memory folder it says 'memory for installable applications: 1.79GB' s this part of the phone memory or mass memory? if phone memory, is it possible to make them go to the 32gb memory, or is this specially allocated for apps and doesn't affect performance unlike S60?
