Jun 22, 2012I just acquired a used iPhone 2G. It has been jailbroken and unlocked, but I am not using it as a phone right now. It has been restored and registered. It is connected to wifi and safari and email works fine.
When selecting an App to download from the App Store (I've tried a couple), after pressing the green install button, the button turns into a smaller green rectangle. Press again and it turns into a blue rectangle, and nothing happens.

When trying that way, the icon disappears off the iphone page. These are apps that had worked on this phone previously. Now NO apps will install. I have restored to factory settings without success.

I go into application managment and its there. For example, the facebook app does not show an icon and I cannot find it even in a "universal search". At first all apps installed without problems. The only app I experienced problems with was Nokia Store, which always got stuck on the loading screen and never opened. The only app I've been able to install is one with a .wgz ending.I've tried to reset the phone to factory settings again, reset the device with *#7370# code and held the power button for 8 seconds, and my problem persists.
