So, I flashed with stock firmware from sammobile and phone works. I then hard reset it from recovery mode and phone boots and everything fine. Then after a couple of minutes hangs again and same problem.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S6, but I'm not satisfied with this purchase.
In fact, the smartphone, from the beginning, showed different annoying problems, like:
- It shuts down randomly, when I press the home button to turn on the screen. Before it shuts down, the screen shows some weird horizontal grey lines for a couple of seconds;
- When I surf on the internet with Google Chrome, often the screen shows strange colorful flickerings, making it impossible to do research on Google
- The screen randomly becomes pink, and I have to change the brightness level in order to fix it.
I don't know if others are affected by this but Verizon seems to have pre-installed Accu-Weather as my phone's weather source for weather alerts and such. Whenever there's a weather alert I get a scroll across the top of the screen letting me know. I can't find "Accu-Weather" anywhere in the app manager to force close this annoying thing and there seems to be no way to disable this.

I've tried holding down the power button, power and volume down, power, volume down, and home. I tried taking the battery out as well. Its been a few hours, and it still wont turn on.

Am not sure if Chromecast disconnects first but it's not until the TV screen freezes and I look at my phone that i realise that it's shutting down. Not sure if Chromecast issue or mobile phone issue. Have good Wi-fi, Good batt charge, close proximity to each other.Chromecast is using USB power supply.When watching movies or vids on my Samsung phone it doesn't shutdown and reboot ever, but when I connect with Chromecast, which I have had for aprox 2 weeks, it does?
View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery single member of our family was awakened at 2 am last night when their phones were beeping about a system update. ALL of our phones were in "Do Not Disturb" mode with the only exclusion list being a couple family members' phone numbers. There is no option to block system update alerts in the middle of the night. There is no slider to select/deselect that. It seems like this would be a pretty basic option.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was charging my phone while using it and it suddenly shut off. Whenever I try to turn it on the welcome screen "samsung powered by android" comes up for 1 second and then goes black and nothing else happens. I've had the phone for about 8 months and never rooted or installed any software other than official updates. I was just playing a game while it was charging when it stopped working.
every combination of buttons i press even the factory reset gives the same result, the welcome screen for 1 second and then nothing. I was able to get to the OS change warning screen though but when i cancel it goes back to the welcome screen problem. Charging it shows the charging symbol going on and off every second.
I have this very annoying problem with my GS5. When the screen is locked and is plugged into the charger, anytime I receive a text message the screen lights up and NEVER automatically puts itself back to sleep. The screen will dim, but stay lit until I physically press the lock button.

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust wanted to ask, after the latest update. It feels like you really need to press down on the power button to get the shut down menu to show up.If i don't press down hard enough or right, the shut down menu shows up then it locks and the lock screen shows up. it's quite straight forward, and I don't remember having to hold down the power button for that long for it to shut down.
