I have a Galaxy s6 model SM-G.920F that hangs on the main screen and cannot shut down. I cannot go into recovery mode either to factory set it. So, I flashed with stock firmware from sammobile and phone works. I then hard reset it from recovery mode and phone boots and everything fine. Then after a couple of minutes hangs again and same problem.

Got a Samsung Galaxy S5 . It worked great with kit Kat 4.4
When I did the upgrade to Lollipop and got a new sims card and gave the phone to the wife.
When a incoming call comes in and you answer the phone, 9 out of 10 times it hangs up as soon as you answer the phone.
Everytime I take a picture with my s5 it shuts off and i have to pull the battery and restart, then it'll do it all over again. Started happening about a week ago, phone is 4 mos old. what should I do?

In fact, the smartphone, from the beginning, showed different annoying problems, like:
- It shuts down randomly, when I press the home button to turn on the screen. Before it shuts down, the screen shows some weird horizontal grey lines for a couple of seconds;
- When I surf on the internet with Google Chrome, often the screen shows strange colorful flickerings, making it impossible to do research on Google
- The screen randomly becomes pink, and I have to change the brightness level in order to fix it.
My phone shut off earlier, while I was using it. The battery was just about fully charged, and it was plugged in. I've tried holding down the power button, power and volume down, power, volume down, and home. I tried taking the battery out as well. Its been a few hours, and it still wont turn on.

ALL of our phones were in "Do Not Disturb" mode with the only exclusion list being a couple family members' phone numbers. There is no option to block system update alerts in the middle of the night. There is no slider to select/deselect that. It seems like this would be a pretty basic option.

Whenever I try to turn it on the welcome screen "samsung powered by android" comes up for 1 second and then goes black and nothing else happens. I've had the phone for about 8 months and never rooted or installed any software other than official updates. I was just playing a game while it was charging when it stopped working.
every combination of buttons i press even the factory reset gives the same result, the welcome screen for 1 second and then nothing. I was able to get to the OS change warning screen though but when i cancel it goes back to the welcome screen problem. Charging it shows the charging symbol going on and off every second.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got my S5 yesterday. When viewing a video in YouTube, the video will ALWAYS hang at 30 second intervals (not exact, but close). Pull up any video, hit play, everything is fine and stutter-free, but then at 30 seconds the video freezes (audio continues). If I move the timeline position cursor, the video continues again, but will freeze up again after another 30 seconds. It does this every time without fail.
The specific solutions (the few that seem to work for the person posting) don't apply to the S5).
I just got a new 32 gig micro sd card. I tried to use media monkey to sync my music to it, it did a few then stopped. Phone needs to be rebooted as mtp application seems to lock it up.I then tried the same via the Kies program and the same happened, did a few more this time, maybe 5 albums then just 4 songs then stops and phone has hung again.

Then today I was on a call over Bluetooth in my car and it cut out (other person could hear me, I couldn't hear then them) but was not in a dead zone. Closing it and reopening it several times sometimes does the trick, but sometimes it has to be left for a while. I find this very annoying for such a lightening fast and smooth operating phone. I have tried diffrent computer screens and diffrent positions, sometimes the phone just hangs and i have to do a battery pull. I have downloaded OTA the new bbm because my desktop manager woont update it. It is not a big issue but i was wondering why it isnt working.I dont know if its ok to post a diffrent problem but i thought it would be easier to get an answer then to make another post. The 2nd problem i have is with voice dialling, it doesnt load if it has a big number of contacts, i fixed it by deleting most of my contacts. It works fine now, but i waz wondering if there is a way to fix this so i can have more contacts.

I did a hard reset on it last week, but that only worked for a few days. I've had the phone for a year and a half (actually, even when it was new, it never had the battery life it was supposed to have). What should I do? Resetting every couple of weeks does not sound fun. since yesterday I'm owner of N85-1 phone, so I was very happy when I saw the device (it is a present), but today I've become very sad.
So, my main PROMLEM is very strange:
Last evening I used the phone for probably 30 min. conversation, than I set the alarm clock in order to wake up this morning and go to work. But I overslept and a thought that I did not hear the phone alarm.
My surprise was huge when I tried to switch on the phone, I entered the PIN code of the card and there was the alarm active whit the usual two options - snooze or switch it of. No matter what I choose the phone is blocking and I can't use it at all. The only way to do something is to remove the battery, so I've done it this morning for at least 20 times and the result is the same every time - the phone is blocked and I can't do anything to use the phone.
In the same time when I dial my number from other phone I'm hearing the "free" signal, but the N85 is not ringing at all.
When my phone rings while incoming calls, I am niether recieve income calls nor disconnect it, the whole screen hangs off n tapping of any where on the sscreen dosen't work.

Whenever there's a weather alert I get a scroll across the top of the screen letting me know. I can't find "Accu-Weather" anywhere in the app manager to force close this annoying thing and there seems to be no way to disable this.
